¹⁰ proving what is well-pleasing to the Lord;

¹ I beseech you, therefore, brethren, through the mercies of God, to present, your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, well pleasing to God, which is your rational service; ² and he not conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is the good and well-pleasing and perfect will of God.

¹⁸ For he that in these things serves Christ, is well-pleasing to God, and approved by men.

¹⁰ so that ye may approve the things that are excellent; that ye may be pure and without offense to the day of Christ;

¹⁸ But I have all, and abound; I have been filled, having received from Epaphroditus the things sent from you, an odor of sweet smell, an acceptable sacrifice, well-pleasing to God.

²¹ but prove all things, hold fast that which is good.

³ This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior,

⁴ But, if any widow has children or grand-children, let them learn first to show regard to their own family, and to make returns to their parents; for this is acceptable before God.

²⁸ Wherefore, receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably, with reverence and godly fear;

⁵ ye yourselves also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

²⁰ For what glory is it, if, when sinning and being beaten, ye endure it? but, if, when doing well and suffering for it, ye endure it, this is acceptable with God.
