⁵ and they did this not as we hoped, but they first gave themselves to the Lord, and to us through the will of God;

¹³ neither present your members to sin as instruments of unrighteousness; but present yourselves to God, as alive from the dead, and your members to God as instruments of righteousness.

¹ I beseech you, therefore, brethren, through the mercies of God, to present, your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, well pleasing to God, which is your rational service;

⁷ For no one of us lives to himself, and no one dies to himself. ⁸ For, if we live, we live to the Lord; and, if we die, we die to the Lord: whether we live, therefore, or die, we are the Lord's. ⁹ For to this end Christ died, and lived, that He might be Lord of both dead and living.

¹⁴ For the love of Christ is constraining us; having judged this, that One died for all; consequently, they all died: ¹⁵ and He died for all, that those who live should no longer live to themselves, but to Him Who died for them, and rose again.
