Titus Cross References - Williams

1 Paul, a slave of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to stimulate faith in God's chosen people and to lead them on to a full knowledge of religious truth, 2 in the hope of eternal life which God, who never lies, promised ages ago 3 but at the proper time made known as His message through the message that I preach with which I have been entrusted by the command of God our Saviour; 4 to Titus, my genuine child in our common faith: be spiritual blessing and peace from God our Father and Christ Jesus our Saviour. 5 I left you in Crete for this express purpose, to set in order the things that are lacking, and to appoint elders in each town, as I directed you -- 6 each elder must be above reproach, have only one wife, and his children must not be liable to the charge of profligacy or disobedience. 7 For as God's trustee a pastor must be above reproach, not stubborn or quick-tempered or addicted to strong drink or pugnacious or addicted to dishonest gain, 8 but hospitable, a lover of goodness, sensible, upright, of pure life, self-controlled, 9 and a man who continues to cling to the trustworthy message as he was taught it, so that he may be competent to encourage others with wholesome teaching and to convict those who oppose him. 10 For there are many insubordinate people, mere talkers with nothing to say, but deceivers of their own minds, especially those of the circumcision party, 11 whose mouths must be stopped, for they upset whole families by teaching things they ought not to think, for the sake of dishonest gain. 12 One of them, a prophet of their own countrymen, has said, "Cretans are always liars, wicked brutes, lazy bellies." 13 Now this tendency is true. So continue correcting them severely, that they may be healthy in faith, 14 by ceasing to give attention to Jewish myths and to the commands of men who turn their backs on the truth. 15 To the pure everything is pure, but to the impure and unbelieving nothing is pure, but their very minds and consciences are impure. 16 They profess to know God, but by their actions they disown Him; they are detestable, disobedient, and useless for anything good.

18 and understand His will, and by being instructed in the law can know the things that excel, 19 and if you are sure that you are a guide to the blind, a light to those in darkness, 20 a tutor of the foolish, a teacher of the young, since you have a knowledge of the truth as formulated in the law -- 21 you who teach others, do you not teach yourself too? You who preach that men should not steal, do you steal yourself? 22 You who warn men to stop committing adultery, do you practice it yourself? You who shrink in horror from idols, do you rob their temples? 23 You who boast about the law, do you by breaking it dishonor God? 24 For, as the Scripture says, the name of God is abused among the heathen because of you.

1 Corinthians 4:1-2

1 As for us apostles, men ought to think of us as ministers of Christ and trustees to handle God's uncovered truths. 2 Now in this matter of trustees the first and final requirement is that they should prove to be trustworthy.

1 Corinthians 6:12-13

12 Everything is permissible for me, but not everything is good for me. Everything is permissible for me, but I will not become a slave to anything. 13 Foods are intended for the stomach, and the stomach for foods, but God will finally put a stop to both of them. The body is not intended for sexual immorality but for the service of the Lord, and the Lord is for the body to serve.

1 Corinthians 8:7

7 But it is not in all of you that such knowledge is found. Some, because of their past habits with idols, even down to the present moment, still eat such food as was really sacrificed to an idol, and so their consciences, because they are overscrupulous, are contaminated.

1 Corinthians 9:17

17 For if I do it of my own accord, I get my pay; but if I am unwilling to do it, I still am entrusted with trusteeship.

1 Corinthians 11:27-29

27 So whoever eats the bread and drinks from the Lord's cup in an unworthy way is guilty of sinning against the Lord's body and blood. 28 A man, then, must examine himself, and only in this way should he eat any of the bread and drink from the cup. 29 For whoever eats and drinks without recognizing His body, eats and drinks a judgment on himself.

1 Corinthians 11:34

34 If anyone is hungry, let him eat at home, so that your meetings may not bring on you judgment. I will settle in detail the matters that remain, when I come.

1 Corinthians 14:24

24 But if everybody prophesies, and some unbeliever or illiterate man comes in, he is convinced of his sins by all, he is closely questioned by all,

2 Corinthians 1:1

1 Paul, by the will of God an apostle of Christ Jesus, and Timothy our brother, to the church of God that is at Corinth, with all God's people all over Greece:

2 Corinthians 2:13

13 I had no rest of spirit, because I did not find my brother Titus there. So I said goodbye to them and left for Macedonia.

2 Corinthians 4:13

13 Now since I have the same spirit of faith as he who said in the Scriptures, "I believed, and so I spoke," I too believe, and so I speak,

2 Corinthians 6:4-8

4 On the contrary, I am trying in everything to prove to people that I am a true servant of God: by my tremendous endurance in sorrows, distresses, difficulties; 5 in floggings, imprisonments, riots, labors, sleepless nights, and hunger; 6 through my personal purity, my knowledge, my patience, my kindness; through the Holy Spirit, my genuine love, 7 my message of truth, and the power of God; with the weapons of right-doing in my right hand and my left; 8 in honor or dishonor, in slander or praise; considered a deceiver and yet true,

2 Corinthians 7:6

6 But God, who comforts the downhearted, comforted me by the coming of Titus,

2 Corinthians 7:8-12

8 For, although I did cause you sorrow by that letter, I do not now regret it; although I did regret it then. I see that the letter caused you sorrow only for a time. 9 I am glad of it now, not because you had such sorrow, but because your sorrow led you to repentance, for you took your sorrow in accordance with the will of God, so that you should not suffer any loss at all from me. 10 For the sorrow that comes in accordance with the will of God results in repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regrets, but the sorrow the world produces results in death. 11 For see what this very sorrow, suffered in accordance with the will of God, has done for you! How earnest it has made you, how concerned to clear yourselves, how indignant, how alarmed, how much it made you long to see me, how loyal to me, how determined to punish the offender! At every point you have cleared yourselves in the matter. 12 So, although I did write to you, it was not for the offender's sake, nor for the offended party's sake, but in the sight of God for the sake of having your enthusiasm for me made perfectly clear to you. This is why I am so comforted. 13 In addition to my own comfort, I was made so glad that my cup ran over at the gladness Titus felt, because his spirit has been set at rest by you. 14 Indeed, if I have been doing some boasting of you to him, I have never been ashamed of it; but just as all I said to him was true, so now my boasting before Titus has been shown to be true.

2 Corinthians 8:6

6 so that I insisted that Titus, as he had formerly commenced it, should bring to completion this gracious contribution among you too.

2 Corinthians 8:16

16 But thanks be to God, who kindles in the heart of Titus the same enthusiasm for you that I have;

2 Corinthians 8:23

23 As for Titus, he is my partner and comrade in the work for you, while these brothers of ours, the representatives of the churches, will bring glory to Christ.

2 Corinthians 11:10

10 But the truth of Christ in me, this boasting of mine shall never be stopped in the boundaries of Greece.

2 Corinthians 11:12-15

12 And I shall keep on doing as I am, in order to cut the ground from under the feet of those who want an opportunity to show themselves on a level with me in the matters of which they boast. 13 For such men are sham apostles, dishonest workmen, masquerading as apostles of Christ. 14 And no wonder, for even Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. 15 So it is no surprise if his servants also masquerade as ministers for doing right, whose doom shall be in accordance with what they do.

2 Corinthians 12:18

18 I actually begged Titus to go, and sent the well-known brother with him. Titus did not make any money out of you, did he? Did not he and I act in the same spirit, and take the very same steps?

2 Corinthians 13:10

10 This is why I am writing this while far away from you, that when I do come, I may not have to deal harshly with you in accordance with the authority which the Lord has given me, for building you up, not for tearing you down.

Galatians 1:6-8

6 I am astonished that you are beginning so soon to turn away from Him who called you by the favor of Christ, to a different good news, 7 which is not really another one; only there are certain people who are trying to unsettle you and want to turn the good news of Christ upside down. 8 But even if I or an angel from heaven preach a good news that is contrary to the one which I have already preached to you, a curse upon him!

Galatians 2:3

3 But they did not even try to compel my companion, Titus, although he was a Greek, to be circumcised -- 4 they did not try it even for the sake of the false brothers who had been smuggled in, who stole in to spy out the freedom we enjoy in Christ Jesus, so as to make us slaves again.

Galatians 3:1

1 O senseless Galatians! Who has bewitched you, before whose very eyes Jesus Christ was pictured as the crucified One?

4 but when the proper time had come, God sent His Son, born of a woman, born subject to law,

Galatians 4:9

9 but now, since you have come to know God, or rather have come to be known by Him, how can you turn back to your own crude notions, so weak and worthless, and wish to become slaves to them again?

Galatians 4:17-21

17 These men are paying you special attention, but not sincerely. They want to shut you off from me, so that you may keep on paying them special attention. 18 Now it is a fine thing to have special attention paid you, if it is done sincerely and unceasingly, and not only when I am with you. 19 O my dear children, I am suffering a mother's birth pangs for you again, until Christ is formed in you. 20 I wish I could be with you right now and change the tone of my speech, for I do not know which way to turn in your case. 21 Tell me, you who want to be subject to law, will you not listen to what the law says?

Galatians 5:1-4

1 This is the freedom with which Christ has made us free. So keep on standing in it, and stop letting your necks be fastened in the yoke of slavery again. 2 Here is what I am saying to you: If you let yourselves be circumcised, Christ can do you no good. 3 I again insist that if any man lets himself be circumcised, he is under obligation to obey the whole law. 4 You people, whoever you are among you, who try to get into right standing with God, through law have cut yourselves off from Christ, you have missed the way of God's favor.

Ephesians 3:5-8

5 which in the earlier ages, so different from the present, was not made known to mankind as fully as now, but through the Spirit it has been revealed to His Holy apostles and prophets -- 6 that the heathen through union with Christ Jesus are fellow-heirs with the Jews, are members with them of the same body, and sharers with them of the promise through the good news, 7 for which I was called to serve in accordance with the gift of God's unmerited favor which was bestowed on me by the exercise of His power-- 8 yes, on me, the very least of all His people, this unmerited favor was bestowed -- that I might preach as good news to the heathen the boundless riches of Christ,

Ephesians 4:14

14 so that we may not be babies any longer, or like sailors tossed about and driven around by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men through their cunning in inventing new methods of error.

Ephesians 5:6

6 Stop letting anyone deceive you with groundless arguments about these things, for it is because of these very sins that God's anger comes down upon the disobedient.

18 Stop getting drunk on wine, for that means profligacy, but ever be filled with the Spirit,

1 Thessalonians 5:14

14 We beg you, brothers, continue to warn the shirkers, to cheer the faint-hearted, to hold up the weak, and to be patient with everybody.

1 Thessalonians 5:21

21 but continue to prove all things until you can approve them, and then hold on to what is good.

2 Thessalonians 2:10-12

10 and with a completely wicked deception for men who are on the way to destruction, because they refused to love the truth so as to be saved. 11 This is why God sends them a misleading influence till they actually believe what is false, 12 so that all who have refused to believe the truth but have chosen unrighteousness instead might be condemned. 13 We ought always to be thanking God for you, brothers dearly loved by the Lord, because God chose you from the beginning for salvation through the Spirit's consecration of you and through your faith in the truth, 14 and to this end He called you by our preaching of the good news, so that you may obtain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. 15 So then, brothers, continue to stand firm and keep a tight grip on the teachings you have received from us, whether by word of mouth or by letter.

1 Timothy 1:1

1 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by command of God our Saviour and of Christ Jesus our hope,

1 Timothy 1:1-2

1 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by command of God our Saviour and of Christ Jesus our hope, 2 to Timothy my genuine child in faith: spiritual blessing, mercy, and peace be with you from God our Father and Christ Jesus our Lord. 3 As I begged you to do when I was on my way to Macedonia, I still beg you to stay on in Ephesus to warn certain teachers 4 to stop devoting themselves to myths and never-ending pedigrees, for such things lead to controversies rather than stimulate our trusteeship to God through faith.

1 Timothy 1:4

4 to stop devoting themselves to myths and never-ending pedigrees, for such things lead to controversies rather than stimulate our trusteeship to God through faith.

1 Timothy 1:4-7

4 to stop devoting themselves to myths and never-ending pedigrees, for such things lead to controversies rather than stimulate our trusteeship to God through faith. 5 But the aim of your instruction is to be love that flows out of a pure heart, a good conscience, and a sincere faith.

1 Timothy 1:5-7

5 But the aim of your instruction is to be love that flows out of a pure heart, a good conscience, and a sincere faith. 6 Some people have stepped aside from these things and turned to fruitless talking.

1 Timothy 1:6-7

6 Some people have stepped aside from these things and turned to fruitless talking. 7 They want to be teachers of the law, although they do not understand the words they use or the things about which they make such confident assertions.

1 Timothy 1:9

9 that is, if he understands that law is not enacted for upright people but for the lawless and disorderly, the godless and sinful, the ignorant and profane, people who kill their fathers or mothers, murderers, 10 the immoral, men who practice sodomy, men who make other men their slaves, liars, perjurers, or anything else that is contrary to sound teaching, 11 as measured by the glorious good news of the blessed God, with which I have been entrusted.

1 Timothy 1:15

15 It is a saying to be trusted and deserves our fullest acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; and I am the foremost of them.

1 Timothy 1:19

19 by keeping your hold on faith and a good conscience; for some have thrust the latter aside and so have made shipwreck of their faith.

1 Timothy 2:3

3 This is the right thing to do and it pleases God our Saviour, 4 who is ever willing for all mankind to be saved and to come to an increasing knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is but one God and one intermediary between God and men, the man Christ Jesus 6 who gave Himself as a ransom for all, a fact that was testified to at the proper time, 7 and for which purpose I was appointed a preacher and an apostle -- I am telling the truth, I am not lying, -- a teacher of the heathen in the realm of faith and truth.

1 Timothy 3:1-13

1 This is a saying to be trusted: "Whoever aspires to the office of pastor desires an excellent work." 2 So the pastor must be a man above reproach, must have only one wife, must be temperate, sensible, well-behaved, hospitable, skillful in teaching;

1 Timothy 3:2-13

2 So the pastor must be a man above reproach, must have only one wife, must be temperate, sensible, well-behaved, hospitable, skillful in teaching;

1 Timothy 3:2

2 So the pastor must be a man above reproach, must have only one wife, must be temperate, sensible, well-behaved, hospitable, skillful in teaching; 3 not addicted to strong drink, not pugnacious, gentle and not contentious, not avaricious,

1 Timothy 3:3-13

3 not addicted to strong drink, not pugnacious, gentle and not contentious, not avaricious, 4 managing his own house well, with perfect seriousness keeping his children under control

1 Timothy 3:4-13

4 managing his own house well, with perfect seriousness keeping his children under control 5 (if a man does not know how to manage his own house, how can he take care of a church of God?).

1 Timothy 3:5-13

5 (if a man does not know how to manage his own house, how can he take care of a church of God?). 6 He must not be a new convert, or else becoming conceited he may incur the doom the devil met.

1 Timothy 3:6-13

6 He must not be a new convert, or else becoming conceited he may incur the doom the devil met. 7 He must also have a good reputation with outsiders, or else he may incur reproach and fall into the devil's trap.

1 Timothy 3:7-13

7 He must also have a good reputation with outsiders, or else he may incur reproach and fall into the devil's trap. 8 Deacons, too, must be serious, sincere in their talk, not addicted to strong drink or dishonest gain, 9 but they must continue to hold the open secret of faith with a clear conscience. 10 They, too, should first be tested till approved, and then, if they are found above reproach, they should serve as deacons. 11 The deaconesses too must be serious, not gossips; they must be temperate and perfectly trustworthy. 12 A deacon too must have only one wife, and manage his children and household well.

1 Timothy 3:12-13

12 A deacon too must have only one wife, and manage his children and household well. 13 For those who render good service win a good standing for themselves in their faith in Christ Jesus.

1 Timothy 3:16

16 Undoubtedly the mystery of our religion is a great wonder: "He was made visible in human form; He was vindicated by the Spirit; He was seen by angels; He was proclaimed among the heathen; He was trusted in throughout the world; He was taken up to glory."

1 Timothy 4:2

2 through the pretensions of false teachers, men with seared consciences, 3 who forbid people to marry and teach them to abstain from certain sorts of food which God created for the grateful enjoyment of those who have faith and a clear knowledge of the truth. 4 For everything in God's creation is good, and nothing is to be refused, provided it is accepted with thanksgiving;

1 Timothy 4:6

6 If you continue to put these things before the brothers, you will be a good minister of Christ Jesus, ever feeding your own soul on the truths of the faith and of the fine teaching which you have followed.

1 Timothy 4:9

9 This is a saying to be trusted and deserves to be accepted by all. 10 To this end we are toiling and struggling, because we have fixed our hope on the living God, who is the Saviour of all mankind, especially of believers.

1 Timothy 4:12

12 Let no one think little of you because you are young, but always set an example for believers, in speech, conduct, love, faith, and purity.

1 Timothy 5:8

8 Whoever fails to provide for his own relatives, and especially for those of his immediate family, has disowned the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.

1 Timothy 5:20

20 Those who are guilty reprove in public, so that others may be warned.

1 Timothy 6:3

3 If anyone teaches different doctrines and refuses to agree with the wholesome messages of our Lord Jesus Christ, the teaching that is in accordance with true religion,

1 Timothy 6:3-5

3 If anyone teaches different doctrines and refuses to agree with the wholesome messages of our Lord Jesus Christ, the teaching that is in accordance with true religion, 4 he is a conceited ignoramus with a morbid appetite for discussions and controversies which lead to envy, quarreling, abuse, base suspicions, 5 and perpetual friction between people who are depraved in mind and deprived of truth, who imagine that religion is only a means of gain.

1 Timothy 6:5

5 and perpetual friction between people who are depraved in mind and deprived of truth, who imagine that religion is only a means of gain.

1 Timothy 6:11

11 But you, as a man of God, must be fleeing always from these things; you must constantly strive for uprightness, godliness, faith, love, steadfastness, gentleness. 12 Keep up the good fight for the faith. Keep your hold on eternal life, to which God called you, when before many witnesses you made the good profession of faith.

1 Timothy 6:19

19 in this way amassing for themselves the riches that forever endure in the life to come, so that at last they may grasp the life that is life indeed.

2 Timothy 1:1

1 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, in accordance with the promise of the life that comes through union with Christ Jesus, 2 to my dearly loved child, Timothy: spiritual blessing, mercy, and peace be with you from God our Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.

2 Timothy 1:9

9 For He saved us and called us with a holy call, not in accordance with anything that we had done, but in accordance with His own purpose and unmerited favor which was shown us through union with Christ Jesus eternal ages ago, 10 but has only recently been made known through the appearance of our Saviour Christ Jesus, who through the good news has put a stop to the power of death, and brought life and immortality to light. 11 Of this good news I have been appointed a preacher, an apostle, and a teacher.

2 Timothy 1:13

13 Continue to be an example in wholesome instructions which you learned from me, in the faith and love that come through union with Christ Jesus.

2 Timothy 2:2

2 The things you learned from me before many witnesses you must commit to trustworthy men who will be competent to teach others too.

2 Timothy 2:10

10 For this reason I am bearing anything for the sake of His chosen people, so that they too may obtain the salvation that comes through Christ Jesus and with it eternal glory.

2 Timothy 2:13

13 If we are unfaithful, He remains faithful, for He cannot prove false to Himself."

2 Timothy 2:15

15 Do your best to present yourself to God an approved workman who has nothing to be ashamed of, who properly presents the message of truth.

2 Timothy 2:22

22 You must keep on fleeing from the evil impulses of youth, but ever strive for uprightness, faith, love, and peace, in association with those who call upon the Lord with pure hearts. 23 Always avoid foolish discussions with ignorant men, for you know that they breed quarrels, 24 and a slave of the Lord must not quarrel but must be gentle to everybody; he must be a skillful teacher, and not resentful under injuries. 25 With gentleness he must correct his opponents, for God might grant them repentance that would lead them to a full knowledge of the truth,

2 Timothy 2:25-25

25 With gentleness he must correct his opponents, for God might grant them repentance that would lead them to a full knowledge of the truth,

2 Timothy 3:3

3 lacking in love for kinsmen, irreconcilable, slanderers, having no self-control, savage, lacking in love for the good,

2 Timothy 3:5-8

5 keeping up the forms of religion but not giving expression to its power. Avoid such people. 6 For some of them practice going into people's houses and capturing weak and silly women who are overwhelmed with the weight of their sins, who are easily led about by all sorts of evil impulses,

2 Timothy 3:6-8

6 For some of them practice going into people's houses and capturing weak and silly women who are overwhelmed with the weight of their sins, who are easily led about by all sorts of evil impulses, 7 who are always trying to learn but never able to come to a full knowledge of the truth. 8 Just as Jannes and Jambres resisted Moses, these people resist the truth, for they are depraved in mind and so counterfeits in the faith.

2 Timothy 3:13

13 But bad men and imposters will go on from bad to worse, misleading others and misled themselves.

2 Timothy 4:2

2 preach the message, stay at it in season and out of season; convince, reprove, exhort people with perfect patience as a teacher. 3 For a time will come when they will not listen to wholesome teaching, but to gratify their own evil desires will surround themselves with teachers who teach to gratify their own evil desires, because their ears are itching so to be tickled, 4 and they will cease to listen to the truth and will turn to listen to myths.

Titus 1:3

3 but at the proper time made known as His message through the message that I preach with which I have been entrusted by the command of God our Saviour;

Titus 1:5

5 I left you in Crete for this express purpose, to set in order the things that are lacking, and to appoint elders in each town, as I directed you -- 6 each elder must be above reproach, have only one wife, and his children must not be liable to the charge of profligacy or disobedience. 7 For as God's trustee a pastor must be above reproach, not stubborn or quick-tempered or addicted to strong drink or pugnacious or addicted to dishonest gain,

Titus 1:7

Titus 2:1

1 You must continue telling the people what is proper for wholesome teaching: 2 the older men to be temperate, serious, and sensible, healthy in faith, in love, and in steadfastness; 3 the older women, too, to be reverent in their deportment, and not to be slanderers or slaves to heavy drinking, but to be teachers of what is right,

Titus 2:7

7 In everything you yourself continue to set them a worthy example of doing good; be sincere and serious in your teaching,

Titus 2:7-8

7 In everything you yourself continue to set them a worthy example of doing good; be sincere and serious in your teaching, 8 let your message be wholesome and unobjectionable, so that our opponent may be put to shame at having nothing evil to say about us.

Titus 2:10

10 to stop resisting them and stealing from them, but to show such perfect fidelity as to adorn, in everything they do, the teaching of God our Saviour. 11 For God's favor has appeared with its offer of salvation to all mankind, 12 training us to give up godless ways and worldly cravings and live serious, upright, and godly lives in this world, 13 while we are waiting for the realization of our blessed hope at the glorious appearing of our great God and Saviour Christ Jesus,

Titus 2:15

15 You must continue teaching this, and continue exhorting and reproving people, with full authority. Let no one belittle you.

Titus 3:4-6

4 But when the goodness and lovingkindness of God our Saviour were brought to light, 5 He saved us, not for upright deeds that we had done, but in accordance with His mercy, through the bath of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, 6 which He abundantly poured out upon us through Jesus Christ our Saviour, 7 so that we might come into right standing with God through His unmerited favor and become heirs of eternal life in accordance with our hope.

Titus 3:10

10 After one or two warnings to a man who is factious, stop having anything to do with him,

Hebrews 6:17-18

17 Therefore, because God wanted to make the strongest demonstration of the unchangeable character of His purpose, He interposed with an oath, 18 so that by these two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to prove false, we who have taken refuge with Him may have encouragement strong enough to make us seize upon the hope that lies ahead of us.

Hebrews 9:14

14 how much more surely will the blood of Christ, who with an eternal Spirit gave Himself a spotless offering to God, purify your consciences from works that mean mere death, to serve the ever living God?

Hebrews 10:22

22 let us continue to draw near to God with sincere hearts and perfect faith; with our hearts cleansed from the sense of sin, and our bodies bathed in clean water;

Hebrews 12:25

25 See to it that you do not refuse to listen to Him who is speaking to you. For if they did not escape, because they refused to listen to him who warned them here on earth, how much less can we, if we reject Him who is from heaven?

James 1:19-20

19 You must understand this, my dearly loved brothers. Everyone must be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to get angry; 20 for a man's anger does not produce the uprightness that God requires.

James 1:26

26 If anyone thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue, but deceives himself, his religious worship is worthless.

1 Peter 1:3-4

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In accordance with His great mercy He has begotten us anew to an ever living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead; 4 yes, to an inheritance that is imperishable, unsullied, and unfading, which is kept in heaven for you

1 Peter 1:20-23

20 who was foreordained for it before the foundation of the world but was brought out to public view at the end of the ages, for the sake of you 21 who through Him trust in God, who raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory; so that your faith and hope may rest in God. 22 Since you have purified your souls by obeying the truth, in sincere love for the brotherhood you must love one another heartily and fervently, 23 because you have been born anew, not from a germ that perishes but from one that does not perish, by the word of the living and everlasting God.

1 Peter 4:10

10 As all of you have received your spiritual talents, you must keep on using them in serving one another, as good trustees of God's many-sided favor.

1 Peter 5:2

2 be shepherds of the flock of God that is among you, not as though you had to but of your own free will, not from the motive of personal profit but freely,

2 Peter 1:1

1 Simon Peter, a slave and apostle of Jesus Christ, to those who through the righteousness of our God and Saviour Jesus Christ have obtained the same precious faith that we have:

2 Peter 1:3

3 because His divine power has given us everything that is needful for life and piety, through our full knowledge of Him who through His glory and excellence has called us to Him.

2 Peter 1:11

11 for it is in this way that to you will be generously granted a triumphant admittance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

2 Peter 2:1-2

1 Now there were false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you too, who will insidiously introduce destructive heresies and deny the Master who has bought them, thus bringing on themselves swift destruction.

2 Peter 2:1-3

1 Now there were false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you too, who will insidiously introduce destructive heresies and deny the Master who has bought them, thus bringing on themselves swift destruction. 2 Many people will follow their immoral ways, and because of them the true Way will be abused,

2 Peter 2:2-3

2 Many people will follow their immoral ways, and because of them the true Way will be abused, 3 In their greed they will exploit you with messages manufactured by themselves. From of old their condemnation has not been idle and their destruction has not been slumbering.

2 Peter 2:10

10 especially those who satisfy their lower nature by indulging in its evil passions which defile them, and who despise authority. Daring, headstrong men! They do not tremble when they abuse persons of majesty,

2 Peter 2:12

12 These men, like irrational animals, mere creatures of instinct created to be caught and killed, abuse the things that they do not understand, and so by their corruption they will be destroyed, suffering wrong as punishment for their wrongdoing.

2 Peter 2:15

15 They have left the straight road and gone astray. They have followed the road that Balaam, the son of Beor, trod, who fell in love with the profits of wrongdoing

2 Peter 2:20

20 For if, after men have escaped the corrupting ways of the world through a full knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they again become entangled in them and are conquered by them, then their last condition is worse than their former one.

2 Peter 2:22

22 In them is verified the truth of the proverb, "A dog turns back to what he has vomited"; and of that other proverb, "A sow that has washed herself goes back to wallow in the mire."

2 Peter 3:2

2 to remember the things foretold by the holy prophets, and the command of the Lord and Saviour through your apostles.

2 Peter 3:11

11 If all these things are to be dissolved in this way, what men you ought to be! What holy and pious lives you ought to lead,

2 Peter 3:18

18 but instead, you must continue to grow in the spiritual strength and knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To Him be glory now and forever!

1 John 2:4

4 Whoever says, "I know Him," but does not practice obedience to His commands is a liar, and there is no truth in his heart;

1 John 2:18

18 Little children, it is the last hour, just as you have heard that Antichrist is Coming, and already many Antichrists have appeared; so we may be sure that it is the last hour.

1 John 2:23

23 No one who disowns the Son can have the Father. Whoever owns the Son has the Father too.

1 John 2:25

25 And the very thing that He Himself has promised us is eternal life.

1 John 3:2-3

2 Dearly beloved, we are now God's children, but what we are going to be has not been unveiled. We know that if it is unveiled, we shall be like Him, because we shall see Him as He is. 3 And everyone who has this hope in him tries to make himself as pure as He is.

1 John 3:14

14 We know that we have passed out of death into life, because we love our brothers. Whoever does not continue to love continues still in death.

1 John 4:1

1 Dearly beloved, stop believing every so-called spiritual utterance, but keep testing them to see whether they come from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

1 John 5:1

1 Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves the Father loves His child.

1 John 5:11-13

11 And this testimony is that God has given us eternal life, and this life is given through union with His Son. 12 Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son does not have life. 13 I have written this to you who believe in the person of the Son of God, so that you may know that you already have eternal life. 14 And this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask for anything that is in accordance with His will, He will listen to us.

1 John 5:20

20 And we know that the Son of God has come, and has given us insight to recognize the True One; and we are in union with the True One through His Son, Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.

Jude 1:3

3 Dearly beloved, while I was doing my best to begin writing you about our common salvation, I found it necessary to write and urge you to carry on a vigorous defense of the faith that was once for all entrusted to God's people. 4 For certain persons have sneaked in -- their doom was written down long ago -- godless persons, who turn the favor of our God into an excuse for licentiousness, and disown our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.

Jude 1:8-13

8 In just the same way these dreamers defile the body, discard authority, and deride the majesties. 9 But the archangel Michael himself, when he disputed and argued with the devil about Moses' body, did not dare to bring against him a charge of blasphemy, but merely said, "May the Lord rebuke you!" 10 But these persons abuse everything they do not understand, and they are going to be destroyed by the very things they know by instinct, like the irrational animals. 11 Alas for them, because they have trod the road that Cain did; for gain they have rushed into Balaam's error and have perished in rebellion like that of Korah! 12 They are blots on your love feasts while they feast with you, daringly caring for no one but themselves; rainless clouds swept along by winds; leafless trees that bear no fruit, doubly dead, uprooted; 13 wild waves of the sea foaming up their own shame; wandering stars that are forever doomed to utter darkness.

Jude 1:21

21 you must keep yourselves in the love of God and continue to wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, to bring you to eternal life.

Revelation 2:6

6 But you have it to your credit that you hate what the Nicolaitans are doing, as I do too.

Revelation 2:14

14 Yet I hold it somewhat against you that you have among you some who are clinging to the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balak to set a trap for the children of Israel, to entice them to eat the meat that had been sacrificed to idols and to commit immoral practices.

Revelation 2:25

25 but keep your hold on what you have until I come.

Revelation 3:3

3 So remember what you have received and heard, and continue to obey it, and repent. If you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will never know the hour when I come upon you.

Revelation 3:11

11 I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one may take away your crown.

Revelation 13:8

8 All the inhabitants of the earth whose names, from the foundation of the world, have not been written in the slaughtered Lamb's book of life, will worship him.

Revelation 14:16

16 So He who was seated on the cloud swung His sickle over the earth, and the earth was reaped.

Revelation 17:8

8 The wild beast that you saw, once was but now is no more; he is going to come up out of the abyss, but he is going to be destroyed. The inhabitants of the earth, whose names from the foundation of the world have not been written in the book of life, will be astonished when they see that the wild beast once was but now is no more, and yet is to come.

Revelation 21:8

8 But the cowards, the unfaithful, the polluted, the murderers, the sexually immoral, the practicers of magic, the worshipers of idols, and all liars will have their portion in the lake that keeps on burning with fire and brimstone. This is the second death."

Revelation 21:27

27 Nothing unclean will ever enter it, nor anyone who practices abominable living and lying, but only those who are written in the Lamb's book of life.
