⁶ And He raised us with Him and through union with Christ Jesus He made us sit down with Him in the heavenly realm,

²⁹ I tell you, I will never again drink the product of the vine till the day when I drink the new wine with you in my Father's kingdom."

³⁷ Happy are those slaves whom the master, when he comes, will find on the watch for him. I solemnly say to you, he will tighten his belt and have them sit at table, and he will go around and wait on them.

²⁹ and as my Father has conferred on me a kingdom, ³⁰ so I confer on you the privilege of eating and drinking at my table in my kingdom and of sitting on thrones and judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

²⁶ If anyone serves me, he must continue to follow me, and my servant also must go wherever I go. If anyone serves me, my Father will show him honor.

³ And if I go and make it ready for you, I will come back and take you to be face to face with me, so that you may always be right where I am.

²¹ for them all to be one, just as you, Father, are in union with me and I in union with you, for them to be in union with us, so that the world may be convinced that you have sent me. ²² I have given them the glory which you gave me, so that they may be one, just as we are, ²³ I in union with them and you in union with me, so that they may be perfectly united, and the world may be sure that you sent me and that you have loved them just as you have loved me. ²⁴ Father, I want to have those whom you have given me right where I am, in order that they may see the glory which you have given me, because you loved me before the creation of the world. ²⁵ Righteous Father, although the world did not know you, I did know you, and these men have come to know that you sent me, ²⁶ and I made known to them your very self, and I will make you known still further, so that the love which you have shown to me may be felt in them, and I in union with them."

⁴ So through baptism we have been buried with Him in death, so that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the Father's glorious power, so we too should live an entirely new life. ⁵ For if we have grown into fellowship with Him by sharing a death like His, surely we shall share a resurrection life like His,

³ Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who through Christ has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realm.

¹⁹ and how surpassingly great is His power for us who believe, measured by His tremendously mighty power ²⁰ when He raised Christ from the dead, and seated Him at His right hand in heaven,

¹⁸ Yes, He is the Head of the church as His body. For He is the beginning, the first-born among the dead, so that He alone should stand first in everything.

¹² for you were buried with Him in baptism and raised to life with Him through your faith in the power of God who raised Him from the dead. ¹³ Yes, although you were dead through your shortcomings and were physically uncircumcised, God made you live again through fellowship with Christ. He graciously forgave us all our shortcomings,

¹ So if you have been raised to life in fellowship with Christ, keep on seeking the things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. ² Practice occupying your minds with the things above, not with the things on earth; ³ for you have died, and your life is now hidden in God through your fellowship with Christ.

²⁰ I am now standing at the door and knocking. If anyone listens to my voice and opens the door, I will be his guest and feast with him, and he with me. ²¹ I will give to him who conquers the privilege of taking his seat with me on my throne, just as I have conquered and taken my seat with my Father on His throne.
