¹⁷ Only, everybody must continue to live in the station which the Lord assigned to him, in that in which God called him. These are my orders in all the churches.

¹² For some are born incapable of marriage, and some have been made so by men, and some have made themselves so for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. Let him accept it who can."

³ Now through the unmerited favor God has shown me I would say to every one of you not to estimate himself above his real value, but to make a sober rating of himself, in accordance with the degree of faith which God has apportioned to him. ⁴ For just as we have many parts united in our physical bodies, and the parts do not all have the same function, ⁵ so we, though many, are united in one body through union with Christ, and we are individually parts of one another. ⁶ As we have gifts that differ in accordance with the favor God has shown us, if it is that of preaching, let it be done in proportion to our faith; ⁷ or of practical service, in the field of service; or of a teacher, in the field of teaching; ⁸ or of one who encourages others, in the field of encouragement; or one who gives his money, with liberality; or one who leads others, with earnestness; or one who does deeds of charity, with cheerfulness.

¹⁷ This is why I have sent Timothy to you. He is a dear child of mine and trustworthy in the Lord's work; he will call to your minds my methods in the work of Christ Jesus, just as I teach them everywhere in every church.

⁷ However, I should like for everyone to be just as I am myself, yet each of us has his own special gift from God, one for one way, another for another.

¹⁸ Has a man been called after he was circumcised? He must not try to change it. Has a man been called without being circumcised? He must not be circumcised.

²⁰ Everybody must remain in the station in which he was called. ²¹ Were you called while a slave? Stop letting that annoy you. Yet, if you can win your freedom, take advantage of such an opportunity.

²⁴ Brothers, each one must continue close to God in the very station in which he was called.

³³ for God is not a God of disorder but of order, as it is in all the churches of God's people.

¹ Now about the contribution for God's people, I want you to do as I directed the churches of Galatia to do.

¹⁸ I am sending with him the well-known brother whose praise for spreading the good news is ringing through all the churches.

²⁸ Besides all other things, there is my concern for all the churches.

¹⁰ As all of you have received your spiritual talents, you must keep on using them in serving one another, as good trustees of God's many-sided favor. ¹¹ If anyone is preaching, let him do it as one who utters the oracles of God; if anyone is rendering any service to others, let him do it with all the strength that God supplies, so that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.
