²⁵ The grace of God, through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then, with the mind I my self serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

²¹ And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins.

¹⁴ For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

¹⁷ But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin: but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine to which ye were delivered.

¹⁵ For that which I do, I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate I do. ¹⁶ If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law, that [it is] good. ¹⁷ Now then, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. ¹⁸ For I know, that in me, that is, in my flesh dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me, but to perform that which is good, I find not. ¹⁹ For the good that I would, I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do. ²⁰ Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. ²¹ I find then a law, that when I would do good, evil is present with me. ²² For I delight in the law of God, after the inward man. ²³ But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity in the law of sin, which is in my members. ²⁴ O wretched man that I am, who shall deliver me from the body of this death?

⁵⁷ But thanks [be] to God who hath given us the victory, through our Lord Jesus Christ.

¹⁵ Thanks [be] unto God for his unspeakable gift.

⁹ And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. ¹⁰ Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

¹⁷ For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: For these are contrary the one to the other; so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. ¹⁸ But if ye be led by the Spirit, ye are not under the law. ¹⁹ Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are, Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, laciviousness, ²⁰ Idolatry, witchcraft, hared, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, ²¹ Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they who do such things, shall not inherit the kingdom of God. ²² But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, ²³ Meekness, temperance, chastity: against such there is no law. ²⁴ And they that are Christ's, have crucified the flesh, with the affections and lusts.

²⁰ Giving thanks always for all things unto God the Father, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;

³ For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh:

⁶ Be careful for nothing: but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known unto God.

¹⁷ Whatsoever ye do in word or deed, [do] all in the name of Jesus Christ, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

⁵ Ye also as lively stones, are built upon them a spiritual house, unto an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

⁹ But ye [are] a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the virtues of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
