⁵ For many shall come in my name, saying, I am the Christ: and deceive many.

¹¹ And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.

²⁴ For there will be raised false Christs, and false prophets, and will shew great signs and wonders, insomuch that if possible the very elect should be deceived.

⁴³ I am come in my Fathers name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.

³⁶ For before these days rose up Theudas, boasting himself to be a great man, and to whom a number of men, about four hundred, joined themselves: who came to nought of himself, and all, as many as obeyed him, were scattered, and brought to nought. ³⁷ After him rose up Judas of Galilee, in the days of the taxing, and drew away much people after him: he also perished, and as many as obeyed him, were dispersed.

⁹ But there was a certain man whose name was Simon, before in that city, who used magick, and distracted the nation of Samaria, giving out that himself was some great one. ¹⁰ To whom they all gave heed from the least to the greatest, saying, This man is that power of God, which is called The Great.

¹⁸ Little children, it is the last hour: and as ye have heard antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last hour.

⁸ And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose name is [not] written in the book of life of the slain Lamb, from the foundation of the world.
