⁵ And [they were] afraid, and bowed down [their] faces to the earth; But they said unto them, Why seek ye him that is alive among the dead?

³ His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow. ⁴ And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead. ⁵ And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, who was crucified.

⁵ And entring into the sepulchre, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed in a long white garment; and they were affrighted. ⁶ And the Angel saith unto them, Be not affrighted: ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified: he is risen, he is not here: behold his place where they laid him.

¹² And when Zacharias saw [him], he was troubled, and fear fell upon him. ¹³ And the angel said unto him, Fear not Zacharias: for thy prayer is heard; and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear a son, and thou shalt call his name John.

²⁹ And she was troubled at the saying, and considered in her self what sort of salutation this should be.

³ He saw in a vision evidently, about the ninth hour of the day, an angel of God coming in to him, and saying unto him, Cornelius. ⁴ And stedfastly looking on him, and being much affrighted, he said, What is it, Lord?And he said unto him, Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorial before God.

⁸ And here men that die receive tithes: but there he of whom it is witnessed that he liveth.

¹⁸ He that liveth, and was dead; and behold, I am alive for evermore; and have the keys of hades and of death.
