¹ Then drew near unto him all the publicans and sinners to hear him. ² And both the Pharisees and scribes murmured, saying that, This man receiveth sinners, and eateth with them. ³ And he spake this parable unto them, ⁴ What man of you shall have an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not he leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and goeth away and seeketh that which is lost, until he find it? ⁵ And when he hath found [it,] he layeth [it] on his shoulders, rejoycing. ⁶ But when he cometh home, he calleth together [his] friends and neighbours, saying unto them, Rejoyce with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost. ⁷ But I say unto you, that likewise joy is in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, who need no repentance. ⁸ Either what woman having ten drachmae, if she shall lose [one,] doth not she light a candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she shall find [it]? ⁹ And when she hath found [it,] she calleth [her] friends and neighbours together, saying, Rejoyce with me, for I have found the drachma which I had lost. ¹⁰ Likewise I say unto you, There shall be joy in the presence of the angels of God, over one sinner that repenteth. ¹¹ And he said, A certain man had two sons: ¹² And the younger of them said to [his] father, Father, give me the portion of substance that falleth to me. And he divided unto them [his] living. ¹³ And not many days after, the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living. ¹⁴ And when he had spent all, there arose a great famine in that land; and he began to be in want. ¹⁵ And he went and joyned himself to a citizen of that country;and he sent him into the fields to feed swine. ¹⁶ And he would fain have satisfied himself with the husks that the swine did eat: and no one gave unto him. ¹⁷ And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my fathers have bread more than enough, and I here perish with hunger! ¹⁸ I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee, ¹⁹ I am no longer worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants. ²⁰ And he arose, and came to his father. But while he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him. ²¹ And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven and before thee,I am no longer worthy to be called thy son: Make me as one of thy hired servants. ²² But the father said to his servants, Bring forth quickly the best robe, and put [it] on him, and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet. ²³ And bring the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat and be merry. ²⁴ For this my son was dead, and is alive again;he [was] lost, and is now found. And they began to be merry. ²⁵ Now his older son was in the field: But as he came and drew nigh to the house, he heard musick and dancing. ²⁶ And he called one of the servants, and asked what could this be? ²⁷ And he said, Thy brother is come;and thy father hath killed the fatted calf for him, because he hath received him sound. ²⁸ And he was angry, and would not go in: But his father came out, and began to intreat him. ²⁹ And he answering, said to his father, Lo, these many years do I serve thee, neither transgressed I at any time thy commandment, and yet thou at no time gavest me a kid, out of the goats, that I might dine with my friends: ³⁰ But for thy son who hath devoured all he had with harlots, when he came thou hast killed the fatted calf. ³¹ And he said unto him, Thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine; ³² It was meet that we should make merry, and be glad: for this thy brother was dead, and is alive again;was lost, and is found.

¹⁰ And it came to pass, as Jesus sat at meat in the house, behold, many publicans and sinners came and sat down with him and his disciples. ¹¹ But when the Pharisees saw [it], they said unto his disciples, Why eateth your master with publicans and sinners? ¹² But when he heard [it], he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick: ¹³ But go ye and learn what that is, I will, have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners.

²⁸ But what think you? A man had two sons, and he came to the first, and said, Son, go work to day in the vineyard. ²⁹ He answered and said, I will not: but afterward he repented and went into the vineyard. ³⁰ But he came to the other, and said likewise. And he answered and said, I go, Sir; and went not. ³¹ Whether of them two did the will of his father? They say, The first. Jesus saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, that the publicans and harlots go ito the kingdom of God before you.

²⁹ And Levi made him a great treat in his own house; and there was a great company of publicans, and of others that sat down. ³⁰ And the Pharisees and scribes murmured to his disciples, saying, Why do ye eat and drink with publicans and sinners. ³¹ But Jesus answering, said unto them, They that are well need not a physician: but they that are sick. ³² I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

²⁹ And all the people that heard this,and the publicans justified God, being baptized with the baptism of John.

³⁰ And behold, there are last who shall be first, and there are first who shall be last.

²⁰ Moreover, the law entered, that the offence might abound: But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:

¹⁵ This [is] a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.

¹¹ But when the Pharisees saw [it], they said unto his disciples, Why eateth your master with publicans and sinners?

³⁰ And the Pharisees and scribes murmured to his disciples, saying, Why do ye eat and drink with publicans and sinners.

³⁴ The Son of man is come eating and drinking; and ye say, Behold, a gluttonous man, and a wine bibber, a friend of publicans and sinners.

³⁹ Now when the Pharisee who had bidden him, saw [it,] he spake within himself, saying, This [man],if he were a prophet, would have known who, and what manner of woman [this is] that toucheth him: for she is a sinner.

²⁹ And he answering, said to his father, Lo, these many years do I serve thee, neither transgressed I at any time thy commandment, and yet thou at no time gavest me a kid, out of the goats, that I might dine with my friends: ³⁰ But for thy son who hath devoured all he had with harlots, when he came thou hast killed the fatted calf.

⁷ And when they saw [it], they all murmured, That he was gone to be guest with a man that is a sinner.

³ Saying, Thou wentest in to men uncircumcised, and didst eat with them.

⁹ I wrote unto you in an epistle, not to accompany with fornicators. ¹⁰ Not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world. ¹¹ But now I have written unto you, not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner, with such an one, no not to eat.

¹² For before that certain came from James, he did eat with the Gentiles: but when they were come, he withdrew, and separated himself, fearing them who were of the circumcision.

¹¹ But he said unto them, What man is there among you, that shall have one sheep, and is shall fall into a pit on the sabbath, does he not lay hold on it, and lift [it] out?

¹² But how think ye? if a man have an hundred Sheep, and one of them be gone astray, doth he not leave the ninety and nine, and goeth into the mountains, and seeketh that which is gone astray? ¹³ And if so be that he find it, verily I say unto you, he rejoyceth more for that, than for the ninety and nine which went not astray. ¹⁴ Even so it is not the will of our Father who is in the heavens, that one of these little ones should perish.

¹⁵ But the Lord Jesus answered him, and said, Thou hypocrite; doth not each one of you on the sabbath loose his ox and ass from the stall, and lead [him] away to watering?

⁴ What man of you shall have an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not he leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and goeth away and seeketh that which is lost, until he find it? ⁵ And when he hath found [it,] he layeth [it] on his shoulders, rejoycing. ⁶ But when he cometh home, he calleth together [his] friends and neighbours, saying unto them, Rejoyce with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost. ⁷ But I say unto you, that likewise joy is in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, who need no repentance.

¹⁰ For the Son of man is come to seek and save that which is lost.

¹⁵ As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I give [my] life for the sheep. ¹⁶ But other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they will hear my voice; and they will be one fold, one shepherd.

²⁶ But ye believe not; because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you. ²⁷ My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. ²⁸ And I give unto them eternal life, and they shall never perish, neither shall any one pluck them out of my hand.

¹ Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest, does the same thing.

²⁵ For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.

²³ And bring the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat and be merry. ²⁴ For this my son was dead, and is alive again;he [was] lost, and is now found. And they began to be merry.

³² It was meet that we should make merry, and be glad: for this thy brother was dead, and is alive again;was lost, and is found.

⁹ But Jesus said unto him, that This day is salvation in this house, forsomuch as he also is the son of Abraham.

⁴³ But Jesus answered and said unto him, that rebuked [the other,] Be of good courage, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.

³⁴ Jesus saith unto them, My food is that I may do the will of him that sent me, and finish his work. ³⁵ Say not ye, There are four months, and then [cometh] harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are already white to harvest.

¹¹ But these things have I spoken unto you, that my joy in you might remain, and your joy might be full.

¹ And Saul yet breathing out threatnings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest, ² And desired of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he should find any of this way, whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem. ³ And as he journeyed he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shone round about him a light from heaven. ⁴ And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? ⁵ Who said, Who art thou, Lord? And he [said,] I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: [It] [is] hard for thee to kick against the goads. ⁶ And he trembling and astonished, said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord [said] unto him. Arise and go into the city, and it shall be told thee there what thou must do. ⁷ And the men who journeyed with him stood speechless, hearing a voice, but seeing no man: ⁸ And Saul arose from the earth; and when his eyes were opened, he saw nothing, but they led him by the hand, and brought [him] to Damascus. ⁹ And he was three days without sight, and neither did eat nor drink. ¹⁰ And there was a certain disciple at Damascus, named Ananias; and to him said the Lord in a vision, Ananias. And he said, Behold, I[am here] Lord. ¹¹ And the Lord [said] unto him, Arise, and go into the street, which is called Straight, and enquire in the house of Judas, for [one] whose name is Saul, of Tarsus: for behold he prayeth. ¹² And he hath seen a man named Ananias, coming in, and putting [his] hands on him, that he might receive his sight. ¹³ Then Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard by many of this man, how much evil he hath done to thy saints at Jerusalem: ¹⁴ And here he hath Authority from the chief priests, to bind all that call on thy name. ¹⁵ But the Lord said unto him, Go: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel. ¹⁶ For I will shew him how great things he must suffer for my name's sake.

²⁰ But Esaias saith, I was found in them that sought me not; I was made manifest unto them that asked not after me. ²¹ But to Israel he saith, All the day long I have stretched forth my hands unto a disobedient and gainsaying people.

¹⁹ And what [is] the exceeding greatness of his power towards you who believe, according to the working of his mighty power; ²⁰ Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly [places],

³ Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past, in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh, and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. ⁴ But God, who is rich in mercy, for the great love wherewith he loved us, ⁵ Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickned us together with Christ, by whose grace ye are saved. ⁶ And hath raised [us] up together, and made [us] sit together in heavenly [places] in Christ Jesus.

¹⁰ For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained, that we should walk in them.

⁷ Whereof I have been made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me, by the effectual working of his power.

⁵ For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance; as ye know what manner of men we were among you for your sake.

²⁶ And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.

³ For we our selves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, [and] hating one another. ⁴ But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, ⁵ Not by works of righteousness, which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us by the washing of regeneration, and renewing by the Holy Ghost; ⁶ Which he shed on us abundantly, through Jesus Christ our Saviour: ⁷ That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

² Looking unto Jesus theauthor and finisher of the faith; who for the joy that was set before him, endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

⁵ Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation, ready to be revealed in the last time.

¹³ And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the host of Heaven, praising God, and saying, ¹⁴ Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, among men of good will.

⁷ But I say unto you, that likewise joy is in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, who need no repentance.

¹⁰ Likewise I say unto you, There shall be joy in the presence of the angels of God, over one sinner that repenteth.

²⁴ For this my son was dead, and is alive again;he [was] lost, and is now found. And they began to be merry.

²⁹ He that hath the bride, is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, who standeth and heareth him, rejoyceth greatly because of the bridegrooms voice, this my joy therefore is fulfilled.

¹⁴ For ye are my friends, if ye shall do what I command you.

²³ Who when he came also and had seen the grace of God, rejoiced, and exhorted all, that with purpose of heart they would continue with the Lord.

³ They then being brought on their way by the church, they passed through both Phenice and Samaria, declaring the conversion of the Gentiles: and they caused great joy unto all the brethren.

⁴ Always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy;

¹⁷ Yea, and if my blood be poured out upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I joy, and rejoice with you all.

¹ Therefore, my brethren, dearly beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, [my] dearly beloved.

¹⁹ For what [is] our hope, or joy, or cron of rejoicing? [are] not even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus, at his coming?

⁷ Therefore, brethren, we are comforted over you in all our affliction and distress by your faith: ⁸ For now we live, if ye stand fast in the Lord. ⁹ For what thanks can we render to God again for you, for all the joy wherewith we rejoiced for your sakes before our God,

¹⁰ Who in time past [were] not a people, but [are] now the people of God: who had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

¹³ And if so be that he find it, verily I say unto you, he rejoyceth more for that, than for the ninety and nine which went not astray.

³² I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

²⁹ And he answering, said to his father, Lo, these many years do I serve thee, neither transgressed I at any time thy commandment, and yet thou at no time gavest me a kid, out of the goats, that I might dine with my friends:

¹⁵ And he said unto them, Ye are they who justifie your selves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is high amongst men, [is] abomination in the sight of God.

⁹ And he spake unto certain who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised other men: ¹⁰ Two men went up to the temple to pray; one a Pharisee, and one a publican. ¹¹ The Pharisee stood by himself and prayed thus, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men [are], extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.

⁹ For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.

⁶ Concerning zeal, persecuting the church; touching the righteousness which is in the law, blameless, ⁷ But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ.

¹⁶ But other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they will hear my voice; and they will be one fold, one shepherd.

⁵² And not for that nation only, but that also he should gather together in one, the children of God that were scattered abroad.

¹⁷ And came, and preached peace to those who were afar off, and to those that were nigh.

¹⁰ See that ye despise not one of these little ones that believe on me; for I say unto you, that their angels in the heavens do always behold the face of my Father who is in the heavens.

¹⁴ Even so it is not the will of our Father who is in the heavens, that one of these little ones should perish.

⁵ And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, who was crucified. ⁶ He is not here; for he is risen, as he said: come see the place where the Lord lay. ⁷ And go quickly and tell his disciples that he is risen; and behold, he goeth before you into Galilee, there shall ye see him; I have told you.

¹ Now it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Cesar Augustus, that all the world should be enrolled. ² This first enrolment was made when Cyrenius was president of Syria. ³ And all went to be enrolled, every one into his countrey. ⁴ And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into the land of Juda, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem: ⁵ To be enrolled with Mary who was espoused to him;being great with child; because he was of the house and family of David. ⁶ But when they were come thither the days were accomplished that she should be delivered. ⁷ And she brought forth her first born son, and wrapped him in swadling clothes, and laid him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn. ⁸ But there were in this country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping the night watches over their flocks. ⁹ And lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and a glory shone round about them; and they were sore afraid. ¹⁰ And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, and it shall be to all people. ¹¹ For unto you is born this day, in the city of David, a Saviour, Who is Christ the Lord. ¹² And let this be a sign unto [you]; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swadling clothes, in a manger.

⁴⁷ Wherefore I say unto thee, Many things are forgiven her.

⁵ And I tell you, No; but except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

¹⁹ Then by night the angel of the Lord opened the prison-doors, and brought them forth, and said,

³ He saw in a vision evidently, about the ninth hour of the day, an angel of God coming in to him, and saying unto him, Cornelius. ⁴ And stedfastly looking on him, and being much affrighted, he said, What is it, Lord?And he said unto him, Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorial before God. ⁵ And now send men to Joppa, and call for one Simon, whose sirname is Peter:

¹⁸ When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life.

¹⁰ For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.

¹⁵ For perhaps he therefore departed for a season, that thou shouldst receive him for ever;

¹⁴ Are they not all ministring spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?

¹¹ And I beheld, and Iheard the voice of many angels round about the throne, and the animals, and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands; ¹² Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain, [to] receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength and honour, and glory, and blessing. ¹³ And every creature which [is] in heaven, and on the earth, and such as [are] in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I, saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, [and] unto the Lamb for ever and ever! ¹⁴ And the four animals said, Amen. And the elders fell down and worshipped.

²³ And when he was come into temple, the chief priests and the elders of the people came unto him as he was teaching, and said, By what authority dost thou these things? and who gave thee this authority? ²⁴ And Jesus answered and said unto them, I also will ask you one word, which if ye tell me, I in likewise will tell you by what authority I do these things. ²⁵ The baptism of John, whence was it? from heaven, or of men? and they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say unto us, Why did ye not believe him? ²⁶ But if we shall say, Of men; we fear the people; for all hold John as a prophet. ²⁷ And they answered Jesus, and said, We know not. And he said unto them, Neither tell I you by what authority I do these things.

⁴⁴ For all these did cast in of their abundance: but she of her want did cast in all that she had, all her living.

³⁰ But for thy son who hath devoured all he had with harlots, when he came thou hast killed the fatted calf.

¹ And he said also unto the disciples, There was a certain rich man who had a steward;and the same was accused unto him that he had wasted his goods.

¹⁹ But he spake also another parable: There was a rich man, who was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day.

¹³ Let us walk honestly as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying ¹⁴ But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, unto its lusts.

¹³ But now in Christ Jesus, ye who sometimes were far off, are made nigh by the blood of Christ.

³ For the time past may suffice to have wrought the will of te Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries: ⁴ Wherein they think it strange that you run not with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of [you]:

¹³ And shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, [as] they that count it pleasure to riot in the daytime: sporting themselves with their own feasts of charity while they rejoice with you;

³² And there was there an herd of swine feeding on the mountain; But They besought him that they might enter into the swine; And he suffered them. ³³ Then went the daemons out of the man, and entred into the swine; but the herd ran violently down a steep place into the lake, and were choked. ³⁴ When they that fed them saw what was done, they fled, and told [it] in the city, and in the country.

¹³ And not many days after, the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living.

²⁴ Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: ²⁵ Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. ²⁶ For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: For even their women changed the natural use into that which is against nature and use:

²² But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.

⁹ Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, ¹⁰ Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God: ¹¹ And such were some of you: but ye have been washed, but ye have been sanctified, but ye have been justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, and by the Spirit of our God.

² Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience. ³ Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past, in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh, and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

¹⁷ This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as the Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind, ¹⁸ Having the understanding darkened, being alienated fro the life of God, through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart: ¹⁹ Who despairing, have given themselves over to lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness and greediness.

¹¹ And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. ¹² For it is a shame even, to speak of those very things which are done of them in secret.

⁵ Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, and uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: ⁶ For which thing's sake, the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience. ⁷ In the which ye also walked some time when ye lived in them.

²⁵ In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; ²⁶ And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.

³ For we our selves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, [and] hating one another.

²¹ And I gave her space to repent; and she would not repent of her fornication. ²² Behold, I will cast her into prison, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they will repent of their deeds.

¹⁹ I speak after the manner of men, because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity, unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness, unto holiness. ²⁰ For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness ²¹ What fruit had ye then in those things, whereof ye are now ashamed? for truly the end of those things [is] death.

³⁵ But when they went out of the city and saw what was done; and came to Jesus, and found the daemoniack, sitting at the feet of Jesus, in his right mind and clothed; they were afraid.

¹⁸ I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee, ¹⁹ I am no longer worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants.

²³ And in hades he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus resting in his bosom.

³⁷ Then all they that were come together and had heard, were pricked in their heart, and some of them said to Peter, and to the apostles, Men, brethren, shew us what we shall do?

²⁹ Then he called for a light, and leaped in, and trembling, fell down at the feet of Paul and Silas; ³⁰ And brought them out, and securing the rest, he said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?

¹¹ And I punished them oft in every synagogue, and compelled [them] to blaspheme; and being exceedingly mad against them, I persecuted [them] even unto strange cities. ¹² Whereupon, as I went to Damascus, with authority and commission from the chief priests; ¹³ At midday, O king, I saw in the way a light from heaven, above the brightness of the sun, shining round about me, and them who journeyed with me. ¹⁴ And when we were all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice speaking unto me, in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? [It] [is] hard for thee to kick against the goads. ¹⁵ And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest. ¹⁶ But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee; ¹⁷ Delivering thee from the people, and the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee, ¹⁸ To open their eyes, and to turn [them] from darkness to light, and[from] the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them who are sanctified by faith that is in me. ¹⁹ Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision:

⁴ But God, who is rich in mercy, for the great love wherewith he loved us, ⁵ Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickned us together with Christ, by whose grace ye are saved.

¹⁴ Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and thou shalt lay hold on Christ.

⁴ But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, ⁵ Not by works of righteousness, which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us by the washing of regeneration, and renewing by the Holy Ghost; ⁶ Which he shed on us abundantly, through Jesus Christ our Saviour:

¹⁶ Do not therefore err, mybeloved brethren. ¹⁷ Every, good gift, and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. ¹⁸ Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of first-fruits of his creatures.

⁶ And were baptized of him in Jordan, confessing their sins.

⁹ After this manner therefore pray ye; Our Father who art in the heavens, Hallowed be thy name.

¹⁴ For, if ye shall forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.

¹¹ If ye then being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father who is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?

² But [he said] unto them, When ye pray do not use vain repetitions as the rest do, for some think they shall be heard for their much speaking. But when ye pray say, Our Father who art in the heavens, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come upon us.Thy will be done, as in heaven, so on earth:

²¹ And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven and before thee,I am no longer worthy to be called thy son: Make me as one of thy hired servants.

¹³ And the publican standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.

⁸ If we say we have no sin, we deceive our selves, and the truth is not in us. ⁹ If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. ¹⁰ If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

²⁶ But he answered and said, it is not lawful to take the childrens bread, and to cast it to dogs. ²⁷ And she said, Yes, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters table.

⁸ But when Simon saw [it], he fell down to his feet saying, I beseech thee Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord.

⁶ But Jesus went with them. And when he was now not far from the house, the centurion sent friends to him, saying unto him, Lord, trouble not thy self, for I am not worthy that thou shouldst enter under my roof. ⁷ But say in a word, and my servant shall be healed.

⁹ For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.

¹³ Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecuter, and injurious. But I obtained mercy, for this cause, that I did [it] ignorantly, in unbelief: ¹⁴ But the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith, and love which is in Christ Jesus. ¹⁵ This [is] a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief. ¹⁶ Howbeit, for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me Jesus Christ might shew forth all his long-suffering, for a pattern to them who should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting.

⁸ Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you: cleanse the hands, ye sinners, and purify the hearts, ye double-minded. ⁹ Be afflicted, and mourn, [and] weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and joy to heaviness. ¹⁰ Humble your selves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.

⁶ Humble your selves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in the time of visitation.

³⁹ For the promise is ours, and to our children, and to all that are afar off, as many as the Lord our God shall call.

³⁷ And they all wept sore, and fell on Paul's neck, and kissed him,

⁴ Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness, and forbearance, and long-suffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?

¹² But when ye sin so against the brethren, and wound their weak conscience, ye sin against Christ.

¹¹ And when the king came to see the guests, he saw there a man who had not on a wedding-garment: ¹² And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou hither, not having a wedding-garment? And he was speechless.

²² Even the righteousness of God by faith of Jesus Christ unto all, and upon all them that believe; for there is no difference:

¹⁵ For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

¹⁴ But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, unto its lusts.

²⁷ For as many of you as lave been baptized into Christ, have put on Christ.

⁵ To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons, ⁶ And because ye are ons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.

¹³ In whom ye also did so, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, ¹⁴ Who is the earnest of our inheritance, until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

²² That ye put off concerning the former conversation, the old man, who is corrupt according to the deceitful lust: ²³ And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; ²⁴ And that ye put on the new man, who after God is created in righteousness, and holiness, and truth.

¹⁵ And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

¹⁷ He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches, To him that overcometh will I give of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth, saving he that receiveth it.

⁴ But thou hast a few names in Sardis, which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy. ⁵ He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

¹⁸ I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayst be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayst be clothed, and the shame of thy nakedness may not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eye-salve, that thou mayst see.

¹¹ And a white robe was given unto every one of them, and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellow-servants also, and their brethren that should be killed as they [were,] should be fulfilled.

⁹ After this I beheld a great multitude, and no man could number them, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, standing before the throne, and before the Lamb, cloathed with white robes, and palms in their hands;

¹³ And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arayed in white robes? and whence came they? ¹⁴ And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they who come out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

⁸ And to her was granted, that she should be arrayed in fine linen, shining and clean: for the fine linen is the righteousness of the saints.

² The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, who made a marriage feast for his son, ³ And sent forth his servants, to call them that were invited to the marriage feast, and they would not come. ⁴ Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, tell them who we invited, Behold I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and fatlings [are] killed, and all things [are] ready: come unto the marriage feast. ⁵ But they made light of [it], and went their ways, some to their field, and others to their merchandise: ⁶ And the remnant took his servants, and treated [them] injuriously, and slew [them]. ⁷ When the king heard [it], he was wroth: and he sent forth his army, and destroyed those murderers, and burnt up their city. ⁸ Then saith he to his servants, the marriage feast is ready, but they who were invited were not worthy. ⁹ Go ye therefore into the high-ways, and a many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage feast. ¹⁰ So his Servants went out into the high-ways, and gathered together all those that they found, both bad and good: and the marriage feast was furnished with guests. ¹¹ And when the king came to see the guests, he saw there a man who had not on a wedding-garment: ¹² And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou hither, not having a wedding-garment? And he was speechless. ¹³ Then said the king to his servants, Take him by his hands and feet, and cast [him] into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, ¹⁴ For the called are many, but the chosen are few.

¹⁰ See that ye despise not one of these little ones that believe on me; for I say unto you, that their angels in the heavens do always behold the face of my Father who is in the heavens. ¹¹ For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost. ¹² But how think ye? if a man have an hundred Sheep, and one of them be gone astray, doth he not leave the ninety and nine, and goeth into the mountains, and seeketh that which is gone astray? ¹³ And if so be that he find it, verily I say unto you, he rejoyceth more for that, than for the ninety and nine which went not astray.

²² And they come to Bethany, and they bring a blind man unto him, and besought him to touch him.

¹⁹ Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents, and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy;and nothing shall hurt you,

⁴ What man of you shall have an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not he leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and goeth away and seeketh that which is lost, until he find it?

⁷ But I say unto you, that likewise joy is in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, who need no repentance. ⁸ Either what woman having ten drachmae, if she shall lose [one,] doth not she light a candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she shall find [it]? ⁹ And when she hath found [it,] she calleth [her] friends and neighbours together, saying, Rejoyce with me, for I have found the drachma which I had lost.

²¹ For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickneth [them]; even so the Son quickneth whom he will.

²⁴ Verily verily I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath eternal life, and shall not come into judgement; but is passed from death unto life. ²⁵ Verily verily I say unto you, That the hour cometh and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God; and they that hear shall live.

²⁵ Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth on me, though he were dead, yet shall he live;

¹¹ Likewise reckon ye also your selves dead indeed unto sin; but alive onto God through Jesus Christ.

¹³ Neither yield ye your members instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield your selves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead; and your members instruments of righteousness unto God.

² For the law of the Spirit of life, in Christ Jesus, hath made me free from the law of sin and death,

¹⁵ For if the casting away of them [be] the reconciling of the world; what [shall] the receiving [be], but life from the dead?

¹⁵ Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.

²⁶ And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it: or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.

¹⁴ For the love of Christ constraineth us, because we thus judge, that [if] one died for all, then were all dead; ¹⁵ And he died for all, that they who live, should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him who died for them, and rose again.

¹ And you who were dead in your trespasses and sins,

⁵ Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickned us together with Christ, by whose grace ye are saved.

¹³ And you being dead in your sins, by the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickned, having forgiven us all our trespasses,

⁶ But she that liveth in pleasure, is dead while she liveth.

¹² These are those who are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with them, feeding themselves without fear: clouds without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withered, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots;

¹ And unto the angel who is in Sardis, write. These things saith he that hath the seven spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead.

³² They are like unto children sitting in the market, and calling to one another, saying, We have piped, and ye have not danced: we have mourned to you, and ye have not wept,

¹¹ And he said, A certain man had two sons: ¹² And the younger of them said to [his] father, Father, give me the portion of substance that falleth to me. And he divided unto them [his] living.

¹⁷ And Ananias went away and entered into the house; and putting his hands on him, said, Brother Saul, the Lord hath sent me, Jesus that appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest, that thou mightest receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost.

¹³ Came unto me, and stood, and said unto me, Brother Saul, receive thy sight. And the same hour I looked up upon him.

¹⁶ Not now as a servant, but above a servant, a brother beloved, specially to me, but how much more unto thee, both in the flesh, and in the Lord?

¹¹ And when they had received [it], they murmured against the master of the house,

³⁴ Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which killest the prophets, and stonest them that are sent unto it, how often would I have gathered thy children together, as a hen her brood under [her] wings, and ye would not?

² And both the Pharisees and scribes murmured, saying that, This man receiveth sinners, and eateth with them.

⁴⁷ And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name, as far as all nations;beginning at Jerusalem.

⁴⁵ And when the Jews saw the multitude, they were filled with envy, and contradicted those words which were spoken by Paul, contradicting and blaspheming.

⁵⁰ But the Jews stirred up the devout honourable women, and the chief men of the city, and raised affliction and persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and expelled then out of their coasts.

² But the heads of the Jews and the rulers of the synagogue brought on a persecution against the righteous, and made the minds of the Gentiles evil affected against the brethren: but the Lord gave them peace quickly.

¹⁹ But while they stayed and taught, there came upon them certain Jews from Antioch and Iconium, who stirred up the people, and having stoned Paul, drew [him] out of the city, supposing he had been dead.

²¹ And he said unto me, Depart: for I send thee far unto the Gentiles. ²² And they hearkened as far as this word, and lift up their voice, and said, Take away such an one from the earth: for it is not fit he should live.

¹⁹ But I say, hath not Israel known? First, Moses saith, I will provoke you to jealousy by no people, by a foolish nation I will anger you.

²⁰ Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech by us: we pray in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled unto God.

¹⁶ Forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles, that they might be saved, to fill up their sins alway: for the wrath of God is come upon them to the uttermost.

¹² Saying, That these last have wrought but one hour, and thou hast made them equal unto us, who have born the burden and heat of the day.

¹⁰ So likewise ye, when ye shall have done whatsoever I say, say ye, We are unprofitable servants: we have done what we ought to do.

⁹ And he spake unto certain who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised other men:

¹¹ The Pharisee stood by himself and prayed thus, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men [are], extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. ¹² I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I posses.

²⁰ Thou knowest the commandments: But he said which? And Jesus said This Thou shalt not commit adultery, thou shalt not kill, thou shalt not steal, thou shalt not bear false witness, Honour thy father and mother. ²¹ But he said, All these have I kept from [my] youth.

²¹ For I feared thee; For thou art an austere man: thou takest up that thou laidst not down, and reapest that thou didst not sow.

²⁰ Therefore by the deeds of the law, there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

²⁷ Where [is] boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? No: but of the law of faith.

³ For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.

⁴ Though I might have confidence in the flesh. If any other man thinketh that he hath whereof he might trust in the flesh, I more: ⁵ Circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, an Hebrew of the Hebrews; as touching the law, a Pharisee; ⁶ Concerning zeal, persecuting the church; touching the righteousness which is in the law, blameless,

¹⁷ Because thou sayst, I am rich and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked.

¹² And the younger of them said to [his] father, Father, give me the portion of substance that falleth to me. And he divided unto them [his] living. ¹³ And not many days after, the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living.

²² But the father said to his servants, Bring forth quickly the best robe, and put [it] on him, and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet. ²³ And bring the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat and be merry.

¹³ But he answered one of them, and said, Friend, I do thee no wrong: didst not thou agree with me for a denarius? ¹⁴ Take [what is] thine, and go away: I will give unto this last, even as unto thee. ¹⁵ Is it not lawlul for me to do what I will with mine own? is thine eye evil because I am good? ¹⁶ So the last shall be first, and the first last: for the called are many, but the chosen are few.

²⁷ And he saith unto her, Let the children first be filled: for it is not meet to take the childrens bread, and to cast [it] unto the dogs. ²⁸ And she answered and said unto him, Yes, Lord: yet the dogs under the table eat of the childrens crumbs.

²² But he said unto him, Out of thine own mouth will I judge thee, thou wicked servant. Thou knewest that I was an austere man; I take up that I laid not down, and I reap that I did not sow: ²³ Wherefore then gavest not thou my money into the bank, that at my coming I might have required mine own with usury?

⁴ Who are Israelites; to whom is the adoption, and the glory, and the covenant, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promise;

¹ I say then, Hath God cast away his people whom he foreknew? By no means. For I also am an Israelite, of the feed of Abraham, [of] the tribe of Benjamin.

³⁵ Or who hath first given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again?

⁴ God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.

¹⁹ Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.

⁹ And that the Gentiles might glorify God for [his] mercy; as it is written, For this cause I will confess to thee among the Gentiles, and sing unto thy name. ¹⁰ And again he saith, Rejoice, ye Gentiles, with his people. ¹¹ And again he saith, Praise the Lord, all ye Gentiles, and laud him, all ye people. ¹² And again Esaias saith, There shall be a root of Jesse, and he that shall rise to reign over the Gentiles; in him shall the Gentiles trust. ¹³ Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace; that ye may abound in hope through the power of the Holy Ghost.

¹ And you who were dead in your trespasses and sins, ² Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience. ³ Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past, in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh, and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. ⁴ But God, who is rich in mercy, for the great love wherewith he loved us, ⁵ Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickned us together with Christ, by whose grace ye are saved. ⁶ And hath raised [us] up together, and made [us] sit together in heavenly [places] in Christ Jesus. ⁷ That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace, in kindness towards us, through Christ. ⁸ For by his grace are we saved, through faith and that not of our selves; [it is] the gift of God: ⁹ Not of works, lest any man should boast; ¹⁰ For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained, that we should walk in them.
