⁴³ And whence [is] this to me, that the mother of [my] Lord should come to me?

²³ As it is written in the law of the Lord, that Every male which openeth the womb shall be called holy to the Lord. ²⁴ And to offer a sacrifice, according to what is said in the law of the Lord, A pair of turtledoves, or two young pigeons. ²⁵ And there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name [was] Symeon;and this man [was] just and devout, expecting the consolation of Israel: and the Holy Ghost was upon him. ²⁶ And it was revealed unto him by the Holy Ghost, that he should not see death before he should see the Lords Christ. ²⁷ And he came in the spirit unto the temple: and when the parents brought in the child Jesus, that they might do concerning him, after the custom of the law, ²⁸ Then he took him up in his arms, and blessed God, and said, ²⁹ Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word. ³⁰ For mine eyes have seen thy salvation: ³¹ Which thou hast prepared before the face of all people: ³² A light for a revelation [to the Gentiles] and the glory of thy people Israel. ³³ And his father and mother marvelled at those things which were spoken of him.

³³ Of Aminadab, Of Aram, Of Asrom, Of Pharei, Of Judas,

¹³ And they say unto her, Woman, why Weepest thou? whom seekest thou? She saith unto them, Because they have taken away my Lord, and I know not where they have laid him.

²⁸ Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord, and my God.

³ Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, who was made to him of the seed of David, according to the flesh,

³ And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them who do such things, and dost the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God?

³ Blessed [be] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly things in Christ:

⁸ Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss, for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung that I may win Christ,

⁵ And one of the elderssaith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and the seven seals thereof.

¹⁶ I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, the bright and morning star.
