²⁵ At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid there things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes,

¹⁹ For those days shall be afflictions, such as have not been from the beginning of the creation which God created unto this time, and may this not be again.

¹ IN the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. ² The same was in the beginning with God. ³ All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

²⁴ And when they heard that, and acknowledged the power of God, they lift up [their] voice to God with one accord, and said, Lord, thou [art] God who hast made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all things that in them are:

¹⁵ And speaking, Sirs, why do ye these things? we are men of like passions with you, and preach God unto you, that ye should turn from these vanities unto the living God, who made the heaven, and the earth, and the sea, and all things that are therein:

²⁴ God that made the world, and all things therein, being Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands:

¹⁹ Because that which may be known of God, is manifest in them; for God hath shewed [it] to them. ²⁰ For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

³⁶ For of him, and through him, and to him, [are] all things: to whom [be] glory for ever Amen.

⁶ But to us is one God, the Father, of whom [are] all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom [are] all things, and we by him.

⁹ And to make all men see, what [is] the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world, hath been hid in God, who created all things.

¹⁶ For by him were all things created that are in heaven, and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him. ¹⁷ And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

² Hath in these last days spoken unto us by [his] Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the ages.

¹⁰ And, Thou Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands.

⁴ For every house is builded by some one; but he that built all things [is] God.

³ Through faith we understand that the ages were framed by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made of things which do appear.

⁵ For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water, and in the water.

¹ THAT which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled of the word of life;

¹⁴ And onto the angel of the church which is at Laodicea, write, These things saith the Amen, the faithful andtrue witness, the beginning of the creation of God;

¹¹ Thou art worthy, O our Lord and God, to receive glory, and honour, and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they were.

⁶ And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven and the things that are in them, that there should be no longer time.

⁷ Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him, for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea and the fountains of waters.

⁶ And he said unto me. They are done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end: I will give unto him that is athirst, of the water of life freely.

¹³ [I] [am] Alpha and Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.

³ And Jesus put forth [his] hand and touched him, saying, I will: Be thou clean. And immediately his leprosie was cleansed.

⁵ And the light appeareth in darkness, and the darkness comprehended it not.

⁹ He was the true light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.

¹⁹ And this is the judgement, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

⁴³ And when he has spoken this, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.

⁶ For God commanded the light to shine out of darkness, [and] hath shined in our hearts, to illuminate the knowledge of his glory, in the person of Jesus Christ.

⁸ For ye were sometimes darkness, but now light in the Lord: walk as children of light,

¹⁴ Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and thou shalt lay hold on Christ.

¹⁶ Who only hath immortality, and dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto, whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom [be] honour and eternal power. Amen.

⁵ This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

⁸ Again, a new commandment I write unto you, which thing is true in him and in us: because the darkness is past, and the true light now shineth.

¹³ He that doeth this work shall be made manifest. For the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work, of what sort it is.

¹³ But all things that are reproved, are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifst, is light.

⁵ For we are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.

²⁷ But the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him?

¹⁰ Now also the ax is laid to the root of the trees: therefore every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

³⁰ Wherefore if God so clothe the grass of the field which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, [shall he] not much more do so to you, O ye of little faith?

¹⁶ Ye shall know them by their fruits: Do men gather a grape of thorns, or figs of thistles? ¹⁷ Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruits: but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruits. ¹⁸ [OMITTED TEXT] ¹⁹ Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit, is hewn down and cast into the fire. ²⁰ Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

²⁸ For the earth bringeth forth fruit of it self, first the blade, then the ear, after that is the full corn in the ear.

⁴³ A good tree bringeth not forth corrupt fruits: neither doth a corrupt tree bring forth good fruits. ⁴⁴ Every tree is known by its own fruit: for of thorns figs are not gathered, nor of a bramble gather they grapes.

⁷ For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God:

¹² Can the fig-tree, my brethren, bear olive-berries? either a vine, figs? so neither [can] salt water make fresh.

²⁴ Another parable he put forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of the heavens is likened unto a man who sowed good seed in his own field: ²⁵ But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. ²⁶ But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares.

⁴⁴ Every tree is known by its own fruit: for of thorns figs are not gathered, nor of a bramble gather they grapes.

¹⁰ Now he that ministreth seed to the sower, will both minister bread for your food, and will multiply your seed sown, and will increase the fruits of your righteousness.

⁷ Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

² Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.

² But he answered and said, When it is evening, ye say, Fair weather: for the sky is red. ³ And in the morning Foul weather to day: for the heaven is red and lowering. Ye can discern the face of heaven, but can ye not the signs of the times?

²⁹ Immediately after the tribulation of those days, shall the sunbe darkned, and the moon shall not give its light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken.

²⁴ But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkned, and the moon shall not give her light:

²⁵ And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, and perplexity, the sea and the waves roring; ²⁶ Mens hearts failing them for fear, and for expectation of those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers which are in heaven shall be shaken.

⁴⁵ And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commit my spirit: And having said thus, he gave up the ghost.

¹⁹ And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath, ²⁰ The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great day of the Lord come.

¹² And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and lo, there was a great earthquake, and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the whole moon became as blood:

¹² And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of them was darkened, and the day shone not for a fourth part of it, and the night likewise.

² And he opened the pit of the abyss, and there arose a smoke out of the pit, the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkned, by reason of the smoke of the pit.

⁴⁵ Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land unto the ninth hour.

⁴¹ There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; for star differeth from star in glory.

⁸ And the fourth poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire. ⁹ And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed before God, who had power over these plagues: and they repented not, to give him glory.

²³ And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb [is] the light thereof.

⁴⁷ For so hath the Lord commanded us, Behold I have set thee to be a light to the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth.

²⁵ Neither is worshipped with mens hands, as though he was in need, for he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things;

⁴⁰ For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whales belly: so shall the Son of man also be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

¹⁷ But Jesus answered them, My father worketh hitherto, and I work.

²³ Jesus answered and said unto him, If any one love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and I will come unto him, and make my abode with him.

²⁰ For thou bringest certain strange words to our ears: we would know therefore what these things mean.

²⁶ And he made of one blood, every nation of man, to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times appointed, according to the bound of their habitation:

²⁸ For in it we live, and move, and are; every day; as certain also of your own poets have said; For we are also his offspring. ²⁹ Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Deity is like either to gold, or silver, or stone, or to what is graven by art, or man's device.

⁷ For a man indeed ought not to cover the head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man.

¹⁸ But we all with open face, beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image, from glory to glory, as by the Spirit of the Lord.

⁴ In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them who believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine.

²⁴ And that ye put on the new man, who after God is created in righteousness, and holiness, and truth.

¹⁵ Who is the image of the invisible God, the first-born of the whole creation.

¹⁰ And have put on the new one, which is renewed in knowledge, after the image of him that created him;

⁶ But one in a certain place testified, saying, What is man that thou art mindful of him? or the son of man that thou visitest him? ⁷ Thou madest him for a litle while lower than the angels; thou crownedst him with glory and honour, and didst set him over the works of thy hands: ⁸ Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him. ⁹ But we see Jesus, who was made for a little while lower than the angels, for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.

⁷ For every kind of beasts, and of birds, of serpents, and things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed of mankind:

⁹ Therewith bless we the Lord and Father; and therewith curse we men, who are made after the similitude of God.

⁷ For there are three that bear record.

⁴ And he answered and said, Have ye not read, that he which made [them] at the beginning, made them male and female?

⁶ But from the beginning, God made male and female.

⁷ For a man indeed ought not to cover the head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man. ⁸ For the man is not of the woman; but the woman of the man. ⁹ Neither was the man created for the woman: but the woman for the man.

¹⁰ For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained, that we should walk in them.

²⁶ The mystery which hath been hid from ages, and from generations, but now made manifest to his saints:

³ Forbidding to marry, [commanding] to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them who believe and know his truth.

¹¹ Give us this day the bread necessary for our sustenance.

²⁵ Therefore I say unto you, Be not sollicitous for your life, what ye shall eat; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on: Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? ²⁶ Behold the fowls of heaven: for they sow not, nether do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?

¹⁷ Nevertheless he left not himself without witness, in that he did good, and gave you rain from heaven, and fruitful seasons, filling your hearts with food and gladness.

²⁴ God that made the world, and all things therein, being Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands: ²⁵ Neither is worshipped with mens hands, as though he was in need, for he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things;

²⁸ For in it we live, and move, and are; every day; as certain also of your own poets have said; For we are also his offspring.

¹⁷ Charge them that are the rich of this present age, that they be not high-minded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy:

⁴ For every creature of God [is] good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:
