⁴ But God, who is rich in mercy, for the great love wherewith he loved us,

⁷⁸ Through the bowels of the mercy of our God;whereby the day-spring from on high hath visited us,

¹⁴ And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: ¹⁵ That every one who believeth in him, should not perish, but have eternal life. ¹⁶ For God hath so loved the world, that he hath given his only begotten Son, that every one who believeth on him, should not perish, but have eternal life. ¹⁷ For God sent not his Son unto the world to judge the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

⁴ Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness, and forbearance, and long-suffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?

⁸ But God commendeth his love towards us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

²⁰ Moreover, the law entered, that the offence might abound: But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound: ²¹ That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life, by Jesus Christ our Lord.

¹⁵ For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. ¹⁶ So then [it is] not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.

²³ And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory?

¹² For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all, is rich unto all that call upon him.

⁷ In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

⁷ That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace, in kindness towards us, through Christ.

⁸ Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ.

¹³ But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren, beloved of God; because God hath from the beginning chosen us to salvation, through sanctification of the Spirit, and belief of the truth:

¹⁴ But the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith, and love which is in Christ Jesus.

⁹ Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace which was given us in Christ Jesus, before the world began,

⁴ But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, ⁵ Not by works of righteousness, which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us by the washing of regeneration, and renewing by the Holy Ghost; ⁶ Which he shed on us abundantly, through Jesus Christ our Saviour: ⁷ That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

³ Blessed [be] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope, by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

¹⁰ Herein is love; not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son the propitiation for our sins. ¹¹ Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another, ¹² No one hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us. ¹³ Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his spirit. ¹⁴ And we have seen, and do testify, that the Father sent the Son, the Saviour of the World. ¹⁵ Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God. ¹⁶ And we have known and believe the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love, dwelleth in God, and God in him. ¹⁷ Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he his, so are we in this world. ¹⁸ There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear; because fear hath torment: he that feareth, is not made perfect in love. ¹⁹ We therefore love God; because God first loved us.
