¹ Masters, give unto [your] servants which is jut and equal, knowing that ye also have a Master in heaven. ² Continue in prayer, and watch in the same. ³ Withal, praying also for us, that God would open unto us a door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds: ⁴ That I also may make it manifest, as I ought to speak. ⁵ Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time. ⁶ Let your speech [be] alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man. ⁷ All my state shall Tychichus declare unto you, [who is] a beloved brother, and a faithful minister, and fellow-servant in the Lord: ⁸ Whom I have sent unto you for the same purpose, that ye might know our estate, and to comfort your hearts; ⁹ With Onesimus, a faithful and beloved brother, who is one of you, who shall make known unto you all things which [are] here, ¹⁰ Aristarchus my fellow-prisoner saluteth you, and Marcus sisters son to Barnabas, touching whom ye received commandments; if he come unto you, receive him. ¹¹ And Jesus, who is called Justus, who are of the circumcision. These only are my fellow-workers unto the kingdom of God, who have been a comfort unto me. ¹² Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, saluteth you; always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect, and fully assured in all the will of Christ, ¹³ For I bear him record, that he is in great pain for you, and them that are in Laodicea, and them in Hierapolis. ¹⁴ Luke the beloved physician, and Demas greet you. ¹⁵ Salute the brethren which are in Laodicea, and Nymphas, and the church which is in his house. ¹⁶ And when this epistle is read amongst you, cause that it be read also in the church of the Laodiceans; That ye likewise read the epistle from Laodicea. ¹⁷ And say to Archippus, Take heed to the ministry which thou hast received in the Lord, that thou fulfil it. ¹⁸ The salutation by the hand of me Paul. Remember my bonds, Grace [be] with you. Amen.

⁸ But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your master, and all ye are brethren. ⁹ And you shalt not call [any one] your father upon the earth: for one is your Father who is in the heavens.

⁴⁸ But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My Lord delayeth to come. ⁴⁹ And shall begin to smite his fellow-servants, and shall eat and drink with the drunken. ⁵⁰ The Lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he knoweth not. ⁵¹ And shall cut him in sunder, and appoint his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

¹ And he said also unto the disciples, There was a certain rich man who had a steward;and the same was accused unto him that he had wasted his goods. ² And he called [him,] and said unto him, How is it that I hear this of thee?give an account of thy stewardship: for thou mayst be no longer steward. ³ But the steward said within himself, What shall I do? for my lord taketh from me the stewardship: I cannot dig; to beg I am ashamed. ⁴ I know what I will do; that when I shalt be put from the stewardship, they may receive me into their houses. ⁵ So he called every one of his lords debters unto him, and said unto the first, how much owest thou unto my lord? ⁶ And he said,An hundred baths of oyl. But he said unto him, take thy bills, and write fifty. ⁷ Then said he to another, And how much owest thou? And he said,An hundred cores of wheat. And he said unto him, Take thy bill, and write fourscore. ⁸ And the lord commended the unjust steward because he had done prudently, wherefore I say unto you, the children of this age are in their generation more prudent than the children of light. ⁹ And I say unto you, Make to your selves friends of the mammon of unrighteousness;that when it fails, they may receive you into everlasting tabernacles. ¹⁰ He that his faithful in the least, is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in a little, is unjust also in much. ¹¹ If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true? ¹² And if ye have not been faithful in that which is anothers, who shall give you that which is your own? ¹³ No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

¹⁵ And it came to pass, that as he returned, having received the kingdom, he commanded his servants to be called, to whom he had given the money, that he might know what every man had gained by trading.

⁸ Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether bond or free. ⁹ And ye masters do the same things unto them, forbearing threatning: knowing that their and your master also is in heaven, neither is there respect of persons with God. ¹⁰ Finally, Be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. ¹¹ Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. ¹² For ye wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of darkness, against spiritual wickedness in high [places]. ¹³ Wherefore, take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day; and having done all, ¹⁴ Stand, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; ¹⁵ And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; ¹⁶ Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye are able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. ¹⁷ And the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: ¹⁸ Praying always, with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching unto him, always in supplication for all the saints; ¹⁹ And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel: ²⁰ For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

¹³ For he shall have judgment without mercy, that hath shewed no mercy; [and] let mercy rejoice against judgment.

⁴ Behold the hire of the labourers, who have reaped down your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, crieth: and the cries of them who have reaped, are entered into the ears of the Lord of hosts.

¹⁴ These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings; and they that are with him, [are] called, and chosen, and faithful.

¹⁶ And he hath on his thigh a name written, King of Kings[,] and Lord of lords.

⁴¹ Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed [is] willing, but the flesh [is] weak.

³³ Take ye heed therefore, watch: for ye know not when the time [is].

¹ He spake also a parable unto them, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;

³⁶ But Watch ye and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and ye shall stand before the Son of man.

¹² Rejoycing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer:

¹⁸ Praying always, with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching unto him, always in supplication for all the saints;

⁶ Be careful for nothing: but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known unto God.

⁹ For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will, in all wisdom and spiritual understanding:

⁷ Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have also been taught, abounding in him with thanksgiving.

¹⁵ And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.

¹⁷ Whatsoever ye do in word or deed, [do] all in the name of Jesus Christ, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

¹² Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, saluteth you; always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect, and fully assured in all the will of Christ,

¹⁷ Pray without ceasing. ¹⁸ In every thing give thanks: for this the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

⁷ But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.

¹¹ He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.

²⁷ And when they were come and had gathered the church together, they rehearsed all that God had done to them, with their souls, and that he had opened the door of faith unto the Gentiles.

³⁰ Now I beseech you, brethren, for the Lord Jesus Christ's sake, and for the love of the Spirit, that ye strive together with me in your prayers to God for me; ³¹ And I may be de- livered from them that do not believe in Judea; and that my present for Jerusalem, may be accepted of the saints: ³² That I may come unto you with joy by the will of Christ Jesus, and may with you be refreshed.

¹ Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God.

⁹ For a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and many adversaries.

¹² Furthermore when I came to Troas by the gospel of Christ, and a door was opened unto me of the Lord,

¹ For this cause, I Paul, the prisoner of Christ, am an ambassador for you Gentiles;

¹ I therefore the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you, that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,

⁷ Even as it is meet for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart, inasmuch as both in my bonds, and in the defence and confirmation of the gospel, ye all are partakers of my grace,

¹³ So that my bonds in Christ are manifest in all the palace, and in all other [places]; ¹⁴ And many of the brethren in the Lord waxing confident by my bonds, are much more bold to speak the word of God without fear.

¹⁹ For I know that this shall turn to my salvation through your prayer, and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,

²⁶ The mystery which hath been hid from ages, and from generations, but now made manifest to his saints:

² That their hearts might be comforted, they being knit together in love, unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgment of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ; ³ In whom are all the hidden treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

²⁵ And brethren, pray for us.

¹ Finally brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have its course, and be glorified, even as [it is] with you; ² And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith.

¹⁶ The Lord give mercy unto the house of Onesiphorus; for he oft refreshed me, and was not ashamed of my chain.

⁹ Wherein I suffer trouble as an evil-doer, unto bonds; but the word of God is not bound.

²² But withal prepare me also a lodging: for I trust that through your prayers I shall be given unto you.

¹⁸ Pray also for us: for we trust we have a good conscience, in all things willing to live honestly. ¹⁹ But I beseech you the rather to do this, that I may be restored to you the sooner.

⁷ And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia, write, These things saith he that is true, he that is holy, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no one shutteth, and shutteth and no one openeth. ⁸ I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, which no one can shut: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.

²⁶ Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be made known. ²⁷ What I tell you in darkness, speak ye in the light: and what ye hear in the ear, preach ye upon the house-tops.

²⁹ And now, Lord, behold their threatnings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word,

²⁹ [Then Peter and the apostles answered and said,] We ought to obey God rather than men.

⁴ And my speech, and my preaching [was] not with enticing words of wisdom, but in the revelation of the Spirit, and of power: ⁵ That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

¹⁴ Now thanks [be] unto God, who always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the favour of his knowledge by us in every place. ¹⁵ For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them that perish. ¹⁶ To the one the savour of death unto death; and to the other, the savour of life unto life: and who [is] sufficient for these things? ¹⁷ For we are not as the rest, who corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the light of God speak we in Christ.

¹² Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech.

¹ Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy we faint not: ² But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully, but by manifestation of the truth, commending our selves to every man's conscience in the sight of God. ³ But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: ⁴ In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them who believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine.

²⁰ For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

⁶ Let your speech [be] alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.

¹⁶ Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.

¹¹ And he says unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all things are said in parables:

¹⁹ For your obedience is come abroad unto all men. I am glad therefore on your behalf: and I would have you wise unto that which is good, and simple concerning evil.

¹² For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within? ¹³ But them that are without, God judgeth. Therefore put away from among your selves that wicked person.

¹⁹ Yet in the church I had rather speak five words by my mind, that I may teach others also, than ten thousand words in a tongue. ²⁰ Brethren, be not little children in understanding: howbeit, in malice be ye infants: but in understanding be perfect. ²¹ In the law it is written, With other tongues, and other lips, will I speak unto this people: and yet for all that, will they not hear me, saith the Lord. ²² Wherefore tongues are for a sign, not to them that believe, but to them that believe not: but prophesies, not for them that believe not, but for them that believe, ²³ If therefore the whole church be come together into one place, and all speak with tongues, and there come in those that are unlearned, or unbelievers, will they not say that ye are mad? ²⁴ But if all prophesy, and there come in one that believeth not, or unlearned, he is convinced of all, he is judged of all: ²⁵ And thus are the secrets of his heart made manifest; [and] falling down on [his] face, he will worship God, and report that God is in you of a truth.

¹⁵ See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, ¹⁶ Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. ¹⁷ Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord [is].

¹⁶ Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms, hymns, spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to God.

¹² That ye may walk honestly toward them that are without, and may have lack of nothing.

⁷ Moreover, he must have a good report of them who are without; lest he fall into reproach, and into the snare of the devil.

⁵ If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not[;] and it shall be given him,

¹³ Who [is] a wise man and endued with knowledge amongst you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.

¹⁷ But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, easy to be entrated, full of mercy and good fruits, without wavering, without hypocrisy.

¹ Likewise, ye wives, [be] in subjection to your own husbands; that if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives,

¹³ Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost its savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be troden underfoot of men.

³⁴ O generations of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh good things. ³⁵ A good man out of the good treasure, bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure, bringeth forth evil things.

⁵⁰ Salt [is] good: but if the salt shall have lost its saltness, wherewith shall it be seasoned? Have salt in your selves, and be at peace one with another.

²² And all bare him witness, and wondred at the words of grace which proceeded out of his mouth. And they said, Is not this Joseph's son?

²⁰ And going away they sent forth spies, which should feign themselves to be just men, that they might take hold of his words that so they might deliver him unto the governor. ²¹ And they asked him, saying, Master, we know that thou sayst and teachest rightly, neither acceptest thou the person of anyone; but teachest the way of God in truth. ²² Is it lawful for us to give tribute unto Cesar, or no? ²³ But he perceived their wickedness, and said unto them, Why tempt ye me? ²⁴ Shew me a piece of money: Whose image and superscription hath it? They answered and said, Cesars. ²⁵ And he said unto them, Render unto Cesar the things which be Cesars, and unto God the things which be Gods. ²⁶ But they could not take hold of his word before the people: and they marvelled at his answer, and held their peace. ²⁷ Then came to him certain of the Sadducees who say there is no resurrection, and asked him, ²⁸ Saying, Master, Moses wrote unto us, If any mans brother die without children, having a wife, that his brother should take his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother. ²⁹ There were seven brethren with us: and the first took a wife, and died without a child left. ³⁰ And the second; ³¹ And the third; and in like manner the seven. And they left no child, and died. ³² At last the woman also died. ³³ Therefore in the resurrection, whose wife of them shall she be? for seven had her to wife. ³⁴ And He said unto them, The children of this world are begotten and beget, marry and are given in marriage: ³⁵ But they who shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage. ³⁶ Neither shall they die any more; for they are equal unto the angels with God, being the children of the resurrection. ³⁷ Now that the dead are raised, Moses shewed at the bush, when he calleth the Lord the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. ³⁸ He is not a God of the dead, but of the living: for all live unto him. ³⁹ Then certain of the scribes answering said, Master, thou hast well said. ⁴⁰ And after that, they durst not ask him any question at all.

²⁹ Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to edification of faith: that it may minister grace unto the hearers.

¹⁵ But sanctify the Lord Christ in your hearts: and [be] ready always to [give] an answer to every one that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you, but with meekness and fear:

⁴ And when he was about to go forth, Sopater of Berea; and of the Thessalonians, Aristarchus and Secundus, and Gaius; Of Derbe, Timothy; and of the Ephesians Eutychus and Trophimus accompanied him as far as Asia.

¹ Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God. ² Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful. ³ But with me it is a very small thing, that I should be judged of you, or of man's judgment: yea, I judge not mine own self. ⁴ For I know nothing by my self, yet am I not hereby justified: but he that judgeth me is the Lord.

²¹ But that ye also may know my affairs, how I do, Tychicus a beloved brother and faithful minister in the Lord, shall make them known to you: ²² Whom I have sent unto you for the same purpose, that ye might know our affairs, and that he might comfort your hearts. ²³ Peace [be] to the brethren, and love with faith from God the Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

²⁵ Yet I supposed it necessary, so send to you Epaphroditus, my brother, and fellow-soldier, but your messenger, and he that ministered to my wants.

⁹ With Onesimus, a faithful and beloved brother, who is one of you, who shall make known unto you all things which [are] here,

¹² And Tychicus have I sent to Ephesus.

¹² When I shall send Artemas unto thee, or Tychicus, be diligent to come unto me to Nicopolis: for I have determined there to winter.

¹⁷ For this cause have I sent unto you Timothy, who is my beloved son, and faithful in the Lord, who shall bring you into remembrance of my ways which be in Christ Jesus, as I teach everywhere in every church.

⁴ Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them who are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we our selves also are comforted of God.

⁷ So that contrariwise, [ye ought] rather to forgive and comfort, lest perhaps such an one should be swallowed up with overmuch sorrow.

¹⁸ I desired Titus, and with [him] I sent a brother: did Titus make a gain of you? walked we not in the same spirit? not in the same steps?

²² Whom I have sent unto you for the same purpose, that ye might know our affairs, and that he might comfort your hearts.

²⁸ I have sent him therefore the more carefully, that when ye see him again, ye may rejoice, and that I may be the less sorrowful.

² That their hearts might be comforted, they being knit together in love, unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgment of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ;

¹¹ As you know, how we exhorted and comforted, and charged every one of you, as a father his children,

² And sent Timothy our brother, and our fellow-worker with God in the gospel of Christ, to establish you, and to comfort you concerning your faith;

⁵ For this cause, when I could no longer forbear, I sent to know your faith; lest by some means the tempter have tempted you, and our labour be in vain.

¹⁸ Wherefore, comfort one another with these words.

¹¹ Wherefore comfort your selves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.

¹⁴ Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feeble-minded, support the weak, be patient toward all men.

¹⁷ Comfort your hearts, and stablish [them] in every good work and word.

⁷ All my state shall Tychichus declare unto you, [who is] a beloved brother, and a faithful minister, and fellow-servant in the Lord:

¹⁰ I beseech thee for my son Onesimus, whom I have begotten in my bonds: ¹¹ Who in time past was to thee unprofitable, but now profitable to thee and to me. ¹² Whom I have sent to thee: receive him, that is mine own bowels. ¹³ Whom I would have retained with me, that in thy stead he might have ministered unto me in the bonds of the gospel. ¹⁴ But without thy mind would I do nothing; that thy benefit should not be as it were of necessity, but willingly. ¹⁵ For perhaps he therefore departed for a season, that thou shouldst receive him for ever; ¹⁶ Not now as a servant, but above a servant, a brother beloved, specially to me, but how much more unto thee, both in the flesh, and in the Lord? ¹⁷ If thou count me therefore a partner, receive him as myself. ¹⁸ If he hath wronged thee, or oweth ought, put that on mine account. ¹⁹ I Paul have written [it] with mine own hand, I will repay it: albeit I do not say to thee how thou oweth unto me even thine own self besides in the Lord.

³⁶ And Joseph, who by the apostles was sirnamed Barnabas (which is, being interpreted, The son of consolation) of the Country of Cyprus, a Levite.

¹² And when he had considered, he came to the house of Mary the mother of John, whose sirname was Mark, where many were gathered together, praying.

⁵ But when they were at Salamis, they preached the word of the Lord in the synagogues of the Jews: and they had also John ministring to them.

¹³ Now when Paul and his company loosed from Paphos, they came to Perga of Pamphylia: and John departed from them, and returned to Jerusalem.

³⁷ But Barnabas had a mind to take with them John, whose sirname was Mark. ³⁸ But Paul was not willing, saying, he would not take him with them, who departed from them from Pamphylia, and went not with them to the work for which they were sent. ³⁹ But the contention was so sharp, that they departed asunder one from the other: Then Barnabas took Mark, and sailed to Cyprus.

²⁹ And the whole city was filled with confusion: and having caught Gaius and Aristarchus, men of Macedonia, Paul's companions in travel, they rushed with one accord into the theatre.

² And entering into a ship of Adramyttium, we lanched, meaning to sail to the places of Asia, one Aristarchus a Macedonian of Thessalonica, being with us.

² That ye receive her in the Lord, as becometh saints, and that ye assist her in whatsoever business she hath need of you: for she hath been a succourer of my self, and of many also.

⁷ Salute Andronicus and Junias my kinsmen, and my fellow-prisoners who are of note among the apostles, who were in Christ Jesus before me.

²¹ Timotheus my work-fellow, and Lucius and Jason and Sosipater my kinsmen, and the churches of Christ, salute you. ²² I Tertius, who wrote the epistle, salute you in the Lord. ²³ Gaius mine host, and of the whole church, saluteth you. Erastus the chamberlain of the city saluteth you, and Quartus a brother.

¹¹ Only Luke is with me. Take Mark, and bring him with thee: for he is profitable to me for the ministry.

²⁴ Marcus, Aristarchus, Demas, Lucas, my fellow labourers.

¹³ She who is co-elect in Babylon, saluteth you, and Marcus my son.

⁸ Look to your selves, that ye lose not those things which ye have wrought, but that ye receive a full reward. ⁹ Whosoever goeth before, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God: he that abideth in the doctrine, he hath both the Father and the Son.

⁴⁵ And they of the circumcision who believed, were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the free gift of the Holy Ghost.

² Now Peter had a desire for a long time so go to Jerusalem. And when he had spoken to the brethren, and confirmed them, he spake largely, and taught them through the countries: who also came to them, and declared to them the grace of God. But those brethren who were of the circumcision contended with him,

¹² And the father of circumcision to them who are not of the circumcision only, but also walk in the steps of that faith of our father Abraham.

⁵ Who then is Apollos, and who [is] Paul? Ministers by whom ye believed; even as the Lord gave to every man. ⁶ I have planted, Apollos watered: but God gave the increase. ⁷ So then, neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth: but God that giveth the increase. ⁸ Now he that planteth, and he that watereth, are one: and every man shall receive his own reward, according to his own labour. ⁹ For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, God's building.

¹ We fellow-workers exhorting you, Receive not the grace of God in vain:

⁶ Nevertheless, God that comforteth those that are cast down, comforted us by the coming of Titus: ⁷ And not by his coming only, but by the consolation wherewith he was comforted in you, when he told us your earnest desire, your mourning, your fervent mind toward me; so that I rejoiced the more.

⁷ But contrariwise, when they saw that the gospel of the uncircumcision was committed unto me, as that of the circumcision was unto Peter; ⁸ For he that wrought effectually in Peter to the apostleship of the circumcision, the same was mighty in me towards the Gentiles.

¹¹ Wherefore remember that ye [were] in time passed Gentiles in the flesh; who are called uncircumcision by that which is called the circumcision in the flesh made by hands;

³ Nay, I entreat thee also, true yoke-fellow, help those women who laboured with me in the gospel, with Clement, with other my fellow-labourers, whose names [are] in the book of life.

⁷ Therefore, brethren, we are comforted over you in all our affliction and distress by your faith:

¹⁰ For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, but especially they of the circumcision:

¹ PAUL an Apostle of Jesus Christ, and Timothy [a] brother, unto Philemon our beloved brother, and fellow labourer,

⁴⁸ Ye shall therefore be perfect, even as your Father who is in the heavens is perfect.

⁴⁴ And being in an agony, he prayed very earnestly: and his sweat was at it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.

²⁶ If any serve me, let him follow me, and wheresover I am, these shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will the Father honour.

¹⁴ And I my self also am persuaded of you, my brethren, that ye are full of goodness, and filled with all knowledge, able to admonish one another.

³⁰ Now I beseech you, brethren, for the Lord Jesus Christ's sake, and for the love of the Spirit, that ye strive together with me in your prayers to God for me;

⁶ Howbeit we speak wisdom in perfect things: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought.

²⁰ Brethren, be not little children in understanding: howbeit, in malice be ye infants: but in understanding be perfect.

¹¹ Finally, brethren, farewell: be perfect, be of good comfort, be unanimous, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.

¹⁰ For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? If I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.

¹⁹ My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you,

¹² Not as though I had already attained, or am already justified, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which I am apprehended of Christ. ¹³ Brethren, I count not my self to have yet apprended: but one thing [I do], forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, ¹⁴ I press toward the mark, for the prize of the high calling of God in the Lord Jesus Christ. ¹⁵ Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.

⁷ As ye learned of Epaphras our dear fellow-servant, who is for us a faithful minister of Christ;

²² In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable, and unreproveable in his sight:

²⁸ Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching them in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ.

¹ For I would that ye knew what great conflict I have for you, and them at Laodicea, and as many as have not seen my face in the flesh: ² That their hearts might be comforted, they being knit together in love, unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgment of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ; ³ In whom are all the hidden treasures of wisdom and knowledge. ⁴ And this I say, lest any one should beguile you with enticing words. ⁵ For though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the stedfastness of your faith in Christ. ⁶ As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, walk ye in him: ⁷ Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have also been taught, abounding in him with thanksgiving. ⁸ Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ: ⁹ For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. ¹⁰ And ye are compleat in him, who is the head of the whole church. ¹¹ In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ: ¹² Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with [him] through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead. ¹³ And you being dead in your sins, by the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickned, having forgiven us all our trespasses, ¹⁴ Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances, that was against us, that was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross: ¹⁵ And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it. ¹⁶ Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holy day, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath. ¹⁷ Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body [is] of Christ. ¹⁸ Let no man beguile you of your reward, in a voluntary humility, and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath [[Read] not seen.] seen, vainly puft up by his fleshly mind; ¹⁹ And not holding the head Christ, from whom all the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministred, and knit together, increaseth with the increase of God. ²⁰ If ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world; why, as again living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances, ²¹ Touch not, taste not, handle not: ²² Which all turn to corruption by the abusing of them after the commandments and doctrines of men? ²³ Which things have indeed a shew of wisdom in will-worship and humility, and neglecting of the body, not in any honour to the satisfying ofthe flesh.

¹ Masters, give unto [your] servants which is jut and equal, knowing that ye also have a Master in heaven. ² Continue in prayer, and watch in the same.

²³ And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly: and may your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

²³ There salutes tee Epaphras, my fellow-prisoner in Christ Jesus.

⁷ Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications, with strong crying and tears, unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard, in that he feared;

¹⁴ But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, to those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

¹ JAMES a Servant of God, and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting.

¹⁶ Confess therefore [your] sins one to another, pray one for another, that ye may be healed: The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

¹ SYMEON Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us, through the righteousness of God, and our Saviour Jesus Christ:

²⁴ Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present [you] faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,

² For I bear them record, that they have a Zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.

³ For to [their] power I bear record, yea, and beyond their power [they were] willing of themselves,

¹ For I would that ye knew what great conflict I have for you, and them at Laodicea, and as many as have not seen my face in the flesh:

¹⁵ Salute the brethren which are in Laodicea, and Nymphas, and the church which is in his house. ¹⁶ And when this epistle is read amongst you, cause that it be read also in the church of the Laodiceans; That ye likewise read the epistle from Laodicea.

¹¹ Saying, what thou seest, write in a book, and send unto the seven churches, unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamus, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea.

¹⁴ And onto the angel of the church which is at Laodicea, write, These things saith the Amen, the faithful andtrue witness, the beginning of the creation of God; ¹⁵ I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot. ¹⁶ So then because thou art luke-warm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth: ¹⁷ Because thou sayst, I am rich and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked. ¹⁸ I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayst be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayst be clothed, and the shame of thy nakedness may not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eye-salve, that thou mayst see.

¹⁰ For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, and is departed unto Thessalonica: Crescens to Galatia, Titus unto Dalmatia. ¹¹ Only Luke is with me. Take Mark, and bring him with thee: for he is profitable to me for the ministry.

⁵ Salute my welbeloved Epenetus, who is the first fruits of Asia in Christ.

² And to Apphia our beloved sister, and Archippus our fellow soldier, and to the church in thy house:

²⁷ I adjure you by the Lord, that this epistle be read unto all the brethren.

¹⁴ And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and so have no company with him, that he may be ashamed.

¹⁷ For he was numbered among us, and who obtained the lot of this ministry.

²³ And when they had ordained them elders in every church, and had prayed with fasting, they commended them to the Lord, on whom they believed.

¹ Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God. ² Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.

¹¹ And he hath given some, apostles: and some, prophets: and some, evangelists: and some, pastors and teachers;

⁶ If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith, and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained.

¹⁴ Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by Prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.

¹⁶ Take heed unto thy self, and unto thy doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt save both thy self, and them that hear thee.

¹¹ But thou, O man of God, flee these things: and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness. ¹² Fight the good fight of faith, lay bold on eternal life, whereunto thou art called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. ¹³ I give thee charge in the sight of God, who quickeneth all things, and Christ Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate witnessed a good confession; ¹⁴ That thou keep the commandment both without spot, and unrebukable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ:

²⁰ O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane vain bablings, and oppositions of science falsly so called:

⁶ Wherefore I put thee in remembrance, that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.

² And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.

¹ I charge [thee] before God, and the Lord Jesus, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing also, and his kingdom: ² Preach the word, be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long-suffering and doctrine. ³ For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but for their own lusts will they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears. ⁴ And they will turn away [their] ears from the truth, and will be turned unto fables. ⁵ But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.

²⁰ And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly.

²³ Gaius mine host, and of the whole church, saluteth you. Erastus the chamberlain of the city saluteth you, and Quartus a brother.

¹⁴ The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, [be] with you all. Amen.

³ Withal, praying also for us, that God would open unto us a door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds:

¹⁷ The salutation of Paul with mine own hand, which is the token in every epistle: so I write;

²¹ Which some professing, have erred concerning the faith. Grace [be] with thee.

⁸ Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;

²² The Lord Jesus Christ [be] with thy spirit. Grace [be] with us: Farewel in peace: Amen.

¹⁵ All that are with me salute thee. Greet them that love us in the faith. The Grace of the Lord [be] with you all. Amen.

³ Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; them which suffer adversity, as being your selves also in the body.

²⁵ Grace [be] with all the saints: Amen.
