¹⁶ But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee;

¹⁷ For he was numbered among us, and who obtained the lot of this ministry.

²⁵ That he may take the place of this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas fell, that he might go to his own place.

⁴ But we will give our selves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word.

⁶ And he trembling and astonished, said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord [said] unto him. Arise and go into the city, and it shall be told thee there what thou must do. ⁷ And the men who journeyed with him stood speechless, hearing a voice, but seeing no man: ⁸ And Saul arose from the earth; and when his eyes were opened, he saw nothing, but they led him by the hand, and brought [him] to Damascus. ⁹ And he was three days without sight, and neither did eat nor drink.

¹⁵ But the Lord said unto him, Go: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel. ¹⁶ For I will shew him how great things he must suffer for my name's sake.

¹ Now there were in the the church that was at Antioch, prophets and teachers; among whom was Barnabas, and Simeon that was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen, who had been brought up with Herod also the tetrarch, and Saul. ² As they ministred to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul, for the work whereunto I have called them. ³ And when they had all fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent [them] away. ⁴ But they being sent forth by the Holy Ghost, came down unto Seleucia; from thence they sailed to Cyprus.

⁹ And the Lord spake to Paul in the night by a vision, Be not afraid, but speak, and hold not thy peace: ¹⁰ For I am with thee, and no man shall set [on thee],to hurt thee: for I have much people In this city.

²⁴ But this I do not value, neither count I my life dear unto my self, so that I may finish my course, and the ministry of the word, which word I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify to Jews and Gentiles the gospel of the grace of God.

¹⁹ And when he had saluted [them], he declared particularly how God had wrought among the Gentiles by his ministry.

¹⁰ And I said, What shall I do, Lord? And he said unto me. Arise, and go to Damascus, and there it shall be told thee of all things which are appointed thee to do.

¹⁴ And he said to me, The God of our fathers hath chosen thee, that thou shouldest know his will, and see that just one, and shouldest hear the voice of his mouth. ¹⁵ For thou shalt be his witness unto all men, of what thou hast seen and heard.

¹⁷ And it came to pass, that when I wascome again to Jerusalem, even while I prayed in the temple, I was in a trance; ¹⁸ And saw him saying unto me, Make haste and get thee quickly out of Jerusalem: for they will not receive thy testimony concerning me. ¹⁹ And I said, Lord, they know that I imprisoned, and beat in the synagogues them that believed on thee. ²⁰ And when the blood of thy martyr Stephen was shed, I was standing by, and consenting, and kept the raiment of them that slew him. ²¹ And he said unto me, Depart: for I send thee far unto the Gentiles.

¹¹ And the night following, the Lord stood by him, and said, Be of good cheer, Paul: for as thou hast testified of me in Jerusalem, so must thou bear witness also at Rome.

²³ For there stood by me this night, the angel of God, whose I am, and whom I serve, ²⁴ saying, Fear not, Paul; thou must be brought before Cesar: and lo, God hath given thee all them that sail with thee.

⁵ By whom we have received grace and apostleship for obedience to the faith among all nations for his name:

¹⁶ That I should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministring the Gospel of God; that the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Ghost.

¹ Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy we faint not:

¹⁸ And all things [are] of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;

¹ It is not expedient doubtless to glory: I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord. ² I knew a man in Christ fourteen years ago, whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth: such an one caught up to the third heaven. ³ And I knew such a man, whether in the body, or out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth: ⁴ How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter. ⁵ Of such an one will I glory: yet of my self I will not glory, but in mine infirmities. ⁶ For though I would desire to glory, I shall not be a fool; for I will say the truth: but I forbear, lest any man should think of me above that which he seeth me [to be], or [that] he heareth of me. ⁷ And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to buffet me.

¹² For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught [it], but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.

² And I went up by revelation, and communicated unto them that gospel which I preach among the Gentiles, but privately to them who were of reputation, lest by any means I should run, or had run in vain.

⁷ Whereof I have been made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me, by the effectual working of his power. ⁸ Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ.

⁷ As ye learned of Epaphras our dear fellow-servant, who is for us a faithful minister of Christ;

²³ If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, which was preached to all the creation that is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister.

²⁵ Whereof I am made a minister according to the dispensation of God, which is given to me for you, fully to preach the word of God;

² And sent Timothy our brother, and our fellow-worker with God in the gospel of Christ, to establish you, and to comfort you concerning your faith;

¹² And I thank him who hath enabled me by Christ Jesus our Lord: for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry;

⁶ If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith, and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained.

⁵ But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.
