³⁸ Be it known unto you therefore, Men, Brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins.

⁴⁷ And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name, as far as all nations;beginning at Jerusalem.

²⁹ The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, who taketh away the sin of the world.

¹⁴ Then Peter standing up with the ten Apostles, first lift up his voice, and said unto them thus, Ye men of Judea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, [and] hearken to my words:

³⁸ But Peter saith unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

¹⁰ Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.

³¹ Him hath God exalted in glory, a Prince and a Saviour, to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins in him.

⁴³ To him witness all the prophets, that through his name whosoever believeth in him, shall receive remission of sins.

²⁸ Be it known therefore unto you, that this salvation of God is sent unto the Gentiles, and [that] they will hear it.

¹⁸ And all things [are] of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; ¹⁹ To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of the gospel of reconciliation. ²⁰ Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech by us: we pray in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled unto God. ²¹ He hath made him sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

⁷ In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

³² Be ye therefore kind one to another, tender-hearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven us.

¹⁴ In whom we have the redemption of sins.

⁶ But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry for thee, by how much he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.

¹² For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more. ¹³ In that he saith, A new [covenant], he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old, [is] ready to vanish away.

⁹ Which [is] the first for the time now present, in which are offered both gifts and sacrifices, that cannot make him that does the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience, ¹⁰ [Being] only in meats, and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances imposed until the time of reformation. ¹¹ But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, through a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building; ¹² Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption. ¹³ For if the blood of goats, and of bulls, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh; ¹⁴ How much more shall the blood of Christ do, who through the Holy Spirit, offered himself without spot to God, who will purge our conscience from dead works to serve the living God;

²² And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.

⁴ For [it is] not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats, should take away sins. ⁵ Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me: ⁶ In burnt-offering and [offering] for sin thou hast had no pleasure: ⁷ Then said I, Lo, I come, For in the volume of the book it is written of me, to do thy will, O God. ⁸ Above, when he said, Sacrifices, and offerings, and burnt offerings, and [offerings] for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure, which are offered by the law; ⁹ Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second. ¹⁰ By the which will we have been sanctified, through the offering of the blood of Jesus Christ once. ¹¹ And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices which can never take away sins: ¹² But He, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins, for ever sat down on the right hand of God; ¹³ From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool. ¹⁴ For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified. ¹⁵ The Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said, ¹⁶ This [is] the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their mind will I write them: ¹⁷ And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. ¹⁸ Now, where remission of these [is, there is] no more offering for sin.

¹ My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: ² And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for [those] of the whole world.

¹² I write unto you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for his name's sake.
