⁶ Now we command you, brethren, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw your selves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which they received of us.

¹⁷ And if he shall refuse to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he refuse to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man, and as a publican.

¹⁷ Now I beseech you, brethren, mark diligently them who cause divisions and scandals, saying or doing things contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.

⁴ In the name of our Lord Jesus, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus,

¹¹ But now I have written unto you, not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner, with such an one, no not to eat. ¹² For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within? ¹³ But them that are without, God judgeth. Therefore put away from among your selves that wicked person.

² Now I praise you, brethren, that you remember me in all things, and keep my traditions, as I delivered [them] to you.

¹⁰ To whom ye forgive any thing, I do it also: for [if] I forgave [any thing], it was for your sakes, in the person of Christ;

¹⁷ This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as the Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind,

¹⁷ Whatsoever ye do in word or deed, [do] all in the name of Jesus Christ, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

¹ Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort [you] by the Lord Jesus, that as ye have received of us how you ought to walk, and to please God, as you do walk, so ye would abound more and more.

¹¹ And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your hands, as we commanded you.

¹⁴ Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feeble-minded, support the weak, be patient toward all men.

¹⁵ Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold our traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.

⁷ For your selves know how ye ought to follow us: for we behaved not our selves disorderly among you,

¹⁰ For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat. ¹¹ For we hear that there are some who walk among you disorderly, woring not at all, but are busy-bodies.

¹⁴ And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and so have no company with him, that he may be ashamed. ¹⁵ Count [him] not as an enemy, but admonish [him] as a brother.

²¹ I charge [thee] before God and the Lord Jesus, and the elect angels, that thou observe there things without preferring one before another, doing nothing by partiality.

⁵ Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and turning from the truth, supposing that gain is godliness:

¹³ I give thee charge in the sight of God, who quickeneth all things, and Christ Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate witnessed a good confession; ¹⁴ That thou keep the commandment both without spot, and unrebukable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ:

⁵ Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away:

¹ I charge [thee] before God, and the Lord Jesus, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing also, and his kingdom:

¹⁵ Looking diligently, that no one fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness spring up, with gall, and thereby many be defiled: ¹⁶ Lest there [be] any fornicator, or profane person; As Esau for one morsel of meat sold his birthright.

¹⁰ Wherefore if I come, I will remember his deeds which he doth, prating against us with wicked words: and not content therewith, neither doth he himself receive the brethren, and forbiddeth them that would, and casteth [them] out of the church. ¹¹ Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good, is of God: He that doeth evil, hath not seen God.
