² For your selves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.

⁴² Watch therefore, for ye know not what day the Lord cometh. ⁴³ But know this, that if the master of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. ⁴⁴ Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as you think not, the Son of man cometh.

¹³ Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour.

³⁴ As a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch. ³⁵ Watch ye therefore, for ye know not when the master of the house cometh; at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning;

³⁹ And this know, that if the good man of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched. ⁴⁰ But be ye ready: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not.

⁸ Who shall also confirm you unto the end, blameless, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

¹⁰ But the day of the Lord will come as a thief; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat; the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burnt up

³ Remember therefore how thou hast received, and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.

¹⁵ Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed [is] he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.
