²⁵ For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.

³⁶ But when he saw the multitudes, he had compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.

¹² But how think ye? if a man have an hundred Sheep, and one of them be gone astray, doth he not leave the ninety and nine, and goeth into the mountains, and seeketh that which is gone astray?

⁴ What man of you shall have an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not he leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and goeth away and seeketh that which is lost, until he find it? ⁵ And when he hath found [it,] he layeth [it] on his shoulders, rejoycing. ⁶ But when he cometh home, he calleth together [his] friends and neighbours, saying unto them, Rejoyce with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost.

¹¹ I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep. ¹² But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth; and the wolf seizeth and scattereth the sheep, ¹³ Because he is a hireling, and careth not for the sheep. ¹⁴ I am the good shepherd, and know mine, and mine know me. ¹⁵ As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I give [my] life for the sheep. ¹⁶ But other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they will hear my voice; and they will be one fold, one shepherd.

¹ Wherefore, Holy Brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and high priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;

²⁰ Now the God of peace that brought again from the ead our Lord Jesus Christ, that great shepherd of the sheep; through the blood of the everlasting covenant,

⁴ And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away.
