²³ Who when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatned not; but committed [himself] to him that judgeth righteously;

³⁹ And they that passed by, reviled him, wagging their head, ⁴⁰ And saying, wo! Thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest [it] in three days, save thy self if thou be the Son of God, and come down from the cross. ⁴¹ Likewise also the Scribes and Pharisees, mocking him, said, ⁴² He saved others, himself he cannot save; let him now come down from the cross and we will believe him. ⁴³ If he trusted in God let him deliver him now if he will have him: for he said, I am the Son of God. ⁴⁴ The thieves also who were crucified with him, cast the same in his teeth.

⁶⁰ And the high priest stood up in the midst, and asked Jesus, saying, Answereth thou nothing? what is it which these witness against thee? ⁶¹ But he held his peace, and answered nothing. The high priest said unto him, Art thou the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?

²⁹ And they that passed by, blasphemed him, wagging [their] heads, and saying, Ah, thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days! ³⁰ Save thy self, and come down from the cross. ³¹ But the chief priests mocking, said among themselves with the scribes, He saved others, himself he cannot save. ³² Let Christ the king of Israel descend now from the cross, that we may see and believe him. And they that were crucified with him, reproached him.

⁶⁴ And when they had blindfolded his face, they struck him, and said, Prophesie, who is it that smote thee? ⁶⁵ And blaspheming they spake many other things against him.

⁹ And he questioned with him in many words; but he answered him nothing.

³⁴ But they parted his raiment, and cast a lot. ³⁵ And the people stood beholding. But they derided him, and they said to him, Thou hast saved others, save thy self, if thou beest Christ, the Son of God: If thou beest the chosen, ³⁶ And the soldiers also mocked him, coming to him, and they brought him vinegar, ³⁷ And saying, Hail king of the Jews, and puting a crown of thorns [on him.] ³⁸ And a superscription also was written over him in letters of Greek, Latin, Hebrew, THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS. ³⁹ And one of the Malefactors blasphemed him:

⁴⁶ But the sun was darkned, and the vail of the temple was rent.

⁴⁸ The Jews, answered and said unto him, Say we not well, that thou art a Samaritan, and hast a daemon? ⁴⁹ Jesus answered, I have not a daemon; but I honour my Father, and ye dishonour me.

⁹ And they went again into the judgment-hall, and he saith unto Jesus, Whence art thou? But Jesus gave no answer. ¹⁰ Pilate therefore saith unto him, Speakest thou not unto me? knowest thou not that I have power to crucifie thee, and have power to release thee? ¹¹ Jesus answered him, Thou hast no power at all against me, except it were given thee from above: therefore he that delivered me unto thee hath the greater sin.

²⁹ And now, Lord, behold their threatnings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word,

⁵⁹ And they stoned Stephen, invocating and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.

³² The place of the scripture which he read, was this, He was led as a sheep to the slaughter, and like a lamb dumb before his shearer, so opened he not his mouth: ³³ In [his] humiliation his judgment was taken away: and who shall declare his generation? for his life is taken from the earth. ³⁴ And the eunuch answered Philip, and said, I pray thee, of whom speaketh the prophet this? of himself, or of some other. ³⁵ Then Philip opened his mouth and began at the same scripture and preached unto him Jesus.

¹ And Saul yet breathing out threatnings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest,

³¹ As he hath appointed a day to judge the world in righteousness, by the man Jesus, whom he hath ordained; to give assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.

⁵ But after thy hardness and impenitent heart, treasurest up unto thy self wrath against the day of wrath, and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;

⁹ And ye masters do the same things unto them, forbearing threatning: knowing that their and your master also is in heaven, neither is there respect of persons with God.

⁵ A manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer:

¹² For the which cause I also suffer these things; nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and I am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.

⁸ Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto them also that love his appearing.

³ For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.

⁹ Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise, blessing; because ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing.

¹⁹ Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God, commit the keeping of their souls in well-doing unto a faithful Creator.

¹¹ And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him faithful and true, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
