¹ PETER an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the elect sojourning in the dispersion of Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia, ² Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit unto obedience, and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you and peace be multiplied. ³ Blessed [be] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope, by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, ⁴ To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, ⁵ Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation, ready to be revealed in the last time. ⁶ Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations. ⁷ That the trial of your faith being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might befound unto praise, and honour, and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: ⁸ Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom though now ye see [him] not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable, and full of glory: ⁹ Receiving the end of your faith, the salvation of [your] souls. ¹⁰ Of which salvation the prophets have enquired, and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace unto you: ¹¹ Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings for Christ, and the glory that should follow. ¹² Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto you they did minister the things which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you, by the Holy Ghost, sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into. ¹³ Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end, for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; ¹⁴ As obedient children, not fashioning your selves according to the former lusts, in your ignorance: ¹⁵ But as he who hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; ¹⁶ Because it is written, Ye shall be holy, for I am holy. ¹⁷ And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear: ¹⁸ Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, silver and gold, from your vain conversation by tradition from your fathers; ¹⁹ But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a Lamb without blemish and without spot: ²⁰ Who verily was fore-ordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in this last of times for us; ²¹ Who by him are faithful unto God that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory, that your faith and hope might be in God. ²² Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth, unto unfeigned love of the brethren; love one another with the heart fervently: ²³ Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God which liveth and abideth. ²⁴ For all flesh [is] grass, and all its glory as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower falleth away: ²⁵ But the word ofthe Lord endureth for ever. And this is what is preached unto you.

¹⁸ And He passing by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon, called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers.

² Now the names of the twelve apostles are these; The first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother, James [the son] of Zebedee, and John his brother,

²² And except those days should be shortned, there shall no flesh escape: but for the elects sake those days shall be shortned.

⁴¹ He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Mesias, which is, being interpreted, the Christ. ⁴² And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, he said, Thou art Simon the son of Jonas: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is interpreted a Rock.

³⁵ The Jews therefore said among themselves. Whither will he go, that we shall not find him? will he go unto the dispersion of the Greeks, and teach the Greeks?

⁵² And not for that nation only, but that also he should gather together in one, the children of God that were scattered abroad.

¹⁵ When therefore they had dined, Jesus said to Simon Peter, Simon [son] of John, lovest thou me more that these? Jesus (Read: Peter) saith unto him, Yes, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep. ¹⁶ the Lord saith to him the second time, Simon [son] of John, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yes, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep. ¹⁷ He saith unto him the third time, Simon [son] of John, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved, because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Lord, thou knowest all men; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep.

⁵ [Now] there were dwelling at Jerusalem, Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven. ⁶ And when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, and they heard every one speak in their [own] languages. ⁷ And they were amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these who speak, Galileans? ⁸ And how hear we every man in our tongue, wherein we were born? ⁹ Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, in Judea, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia, ¹⁰ Phrygia and Pamphylia, in Egypt also, and in the parts of Libya, about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes, ¹¹ Cretes, and Arabians; we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God.

⁹ Then there arose certain of the synagogue, which is called of the Libertines, and Cyrenians, and Alexandrians, and of them of Cilicia, disputing with Stephen.

⁴ Therefore they that were scattered abroad, went about preaching the word.

⁶ And they passed through Phrygia, and the region of Galatia, and were forbidden of the Holy Ghost to speak the word of God to any in Asia. ⁷ But when they were in Mysia, they desired to go to Bithynia: but the Spirit of Jesus suffered them not.

² And found a certain Jew named Aquila, born in Pontus, lately come from Italy, and his wife Priscilla, because that Claudius had commanded all Jews to depart from Rome, who also dwelt in Achaia, and Paul came unto him.

²³ And after he had spent some time, he departed, and went over all the country of Galatia and Phrygia in order, and strengthning all the disciples.

¹⁰ And this was for two years; [And] all they which dwelt in Asia, heard the words of the Lord, both Jews and Greeks.

¹⁶ For Paul had determined to sail by Ephesus, lest somewhat should detain him in Asia: for he hasted to be at Jerusalem against the day of Pentecost. ¹⁷ And from Miletus he sent to Ephesus, for the elders of the church. ¹⁸ And as they were with him, he said unto them. Ye know, Brethren, from the first day that I came into Asia, after what manner I was always with you for three years, or even more.

¹⁹ The churches of Asia salute you. Aquila and Priscilla salute you much in the Lord, with the church that is in their house, with whom also I sojourn.

⁸ For we would not, brethren, have you ignorant of our trouble which came in Asia, that we were pressed out of measure, above strength, insomuch that we despaired even of life:

² And all the brethren who are with me, unto the churches of Galatia:

¹² That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:

¹⁹ Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow-citizens with the saints, and of the houshold of God;

¹⁵ This thou knowest, that all they who are in Asia be turned away from me; of whom are Phygellus and Hermogenes.

¹³ These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and embraced [them], and confessed that they were strangers and sojourners and pilgrims on the earth.

¹ JAMES a Servant of God, and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting.

¹¹ Dearly beloved, I beseech [you] as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshy lusts, which war against the soul;

¹ SYMEON Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us, through the righteousness of God, and our Saviour Jesus Christ:

¹¹ Saying, what thou seest, write in a book, and send unto the seven churches, unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamus, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea.

²⁴ For there will be raised false Christs, and false prophets, and will shew great signs and wonders, insomuch that if possible the very elect should be deceived.

³¹ And he shall send his angels with a trumpet, of a great sound and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other. And when these things begin to come to pass, Look up, and lift up your heads for your redemption draweth nigh.

²⁰ And except that the Lord had shortned those days, for his elects sake, no flesh should be saved; but for the elects sake, whom he hath chosen, he hath shortned the days.

²² For false prophets shall arise, and shall make signs and wonders, to seduce, if [it were] possible, the elect.

²⁷ And then shall he send the angel, and shall gather together the elect from the four winds, from the uttermost parts of the earth, to the uttermost parts of heaven.

⁷ And, shall not God avenge his own elect, while they cry day and night unto him, and he compassionates them?

¹⁶ Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and appointed you, that you should go and bring forth much fruit, and your fruit should remain; that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. ¹⁷ These things I command you, Love one another. ¹⁸ If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me first, ¹⁹ If ye were of the world, the world would love its own: Because ye were not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.

²³ Him, being given you by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by a wicked hand have fastned to a cross, and slain:

¹⁸ Known unto the Lord is his work from the beginning of the world.

³² And now, I commend you to the Lord, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give [you] an inheritance among all them who are sanctified.

⁵ By whom we have received grace and apostleship for obedience to the faith among all nations for his name:

⁷ To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, the called saints: Grace to you, and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

¹³ For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but is ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the flesh, ye shall live.

²⁹ For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate [to be] conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the first-born among many brethren. ³⁰ Moreover, whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

³³ Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? [It is] God that justifieth:

²³ And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory? ²⁴ Even us whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles.

² God hath not cast away his people whom he foreknew. Know ye not what the scripture saith of Elias? how he maketh intercession to God against Israel,

⁵ Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace. ⁶ And if by grace, then [is it] no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. ⁷ What then? Israel hath not obtained that which he seeketh for; but the election hath obtained it, and the rest were blinded:

²⁸ As concerning the gospel, [they are] enemies for your sake: but as touching the election, beloved for the fathers sakes.

¹⁶ That I should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministring the Gospel of God; that the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Ghost.

¹⁹ For your obedience is come abroad unto all men. I am glad therefore on your behalf: and I would have you wise unto that which is good, and simple concerning evil.

²⁶ But now is made manifest, by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith.

³⁰ But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:

¹¹ And such were some of you: but ye have been washed, but ye have been sanctified, but ye have been justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, and by the Spirit of our God.

⁵ Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth it self against the knowledge of God, and captivating every thought, and bringing it unto the obedience of Christ:

¹⁴ The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, [be] with you all. Amen.

⁴ According as he hath chosen us in him, before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy, and without blame before him in love: ⁵ Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

¹² Put on therefore as the elect of God holy and beloved bowels of mercies, also kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;

¹³ But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren, beloved of God; because God hath from the beginning chosen us to salvation, through sanctification of the Spirit, and belief of the truth:

¹⁰ Therefore I endure all things for the elects sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus, with eternal glory.

¹ PAUL a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God's elect, and the acknowledging of the truth, which is after godliness:

⁹ And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;

¹⁹ For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water and scarlet wooll, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book and all the people, ²⁰ Saying, This [is] the blood of the covenant which God hath enjoined unto you. ²¹ Moreover, he sprinkled likewise with blood both the tabernacle, and all the vessels of the ministry. ²² And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.

²² Let us draw near with a true heart, in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.

²⁸ Through faith he kept the passover, and the sprinkling of blood, lest he that destroyed the first-born, should touch them.

²⁴ And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than Abel.

²² Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth, unto unfeigned love of the brethren; love one another with the heart fervently:

⁹ But ye [are] a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the virtues of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

² Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus Christ the Lord,

¹ THE elder unto the elect lady, and her children whom I love in the truth; But not I only, but also all they that have known the truth:

¹³ The children of thy elect sister greet thee.

² Mercy unto you, and peace, and love be multiplied.

¹³ They were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, not of the will of man, but of God.

³ Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily verily say unto thee, Except any one be born (born again, Vulg.), from above he cannot see the Kingdom of God. ⁴ Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mothers womb, and be born? ⁵ Jesus answered, Verily verily I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Holy Spirit, be cannot enter into the Kingdom of God. ⁶ That which is born of the flesh, is flesh: and that which is born of the Spirit; is Spirit. ⁷ Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be must be born from above (born again, Vulg.), ⁸ The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, or whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

²⁵ Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.

⁴ And patience, experience; and experience, hope: ⁵ And hope maketh not ashamed, because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost.

¹⁰ For if when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son: much more being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

¹⁵ But not as the offence, so also [is] the free gift. For if through the offence of one, the many be dead; much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many. ¹⁶ And not as [it was] by one sin, [so is] the gift: for the judgment [was] by one to condemnation: but the free gift [is] of many offences unto justification of life, ¹⁷ For if by one offence, death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace, and of the gift of righteousness, shall reign in life by one Jesus Christ. ¹⁸ Therefore as by one offence [it came] upon all men to condemnation: even so by one righteousness [it came] upon all men unto justification of life. ¹⁹ For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners: so by the obedience of one man, shall many be made righteous. ²⁰ Moreover, the law entered, that the offence might abound: But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound: ²¹ That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life, by Jesus Christ our Lord.

¹¹ But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead, dwell in you; he that raised up Christ Jesus from the dead, shall also quicken your mortal bodies, by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

²⁴ For we are saved by hope: But hope that is seen, is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?

¹² Rejoycing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer:

¹³ Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace; that ye may abound in hope through the power of the Holy Ghost.

¹³ And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these [is] charity.

²⁰ But now is Christ risen from the dead, the first-fruits of them that are fallen asleep.

³ Blessed [be] God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;

³ Blessed [be] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly things in Christ:

⁷ In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

¹⁷ That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation, in the knowledge of him;

⁴ But God, who is rich in mercy, for the great love wherewith he loved us,

⁶ And hath raised [us] up together, and made [us] sit together in heavenly [places] in Christ Jesus. ⁷ That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace, in kindness towards us, through Christ. ⁸ For by his grace are we saved, through faith and that not of our selves; [it is] the gift of God: ⁹ Not of works, lest any man should boast; ¹⁰ For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained, that we should walk in them.

²⁰ Now unto him that is able to perform exceeding abundantly all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

²³ If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, which was preached to all the creation that is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister.

²⁷ To whom God would make known the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

³ Remembring without ceasing the work of your faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God, and our Father:

¹³ But we would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them who are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others who have no hope.

¹⁴ But the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith, and love which is in Christ Jesus.

¹³ Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God, and our Saviour Jesus Christ:

⁴ But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, ⁵ Not by works of righteousness, which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us by the washing of regeneration, and renewing by the Holy Ghost; ⁶ Which he shed on us abundantly, through Jesus Christ our Saviour:

⁶ But Christ as a Son over his own house: which house are we, if we hold fast the confidence, and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.

¹⁸ That with two immutable things, in which [it was] impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us: ¹⁹ Which we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the vail,

¹⁸ Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of first-fruits of his creatures.

²³ Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God which liveth and abideth.

² As newborn babes desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby unto salvation:

²¹ The which figure baptism doth also now save you: not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the stipulation of a good conscience towards God, by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:

²⁹ If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one also that doeth righteousness, is born of him.

³ And every man that hath this hope in him, purifieth himself, even as he is pure.

⁹ Whosoever is born of God doth not commit Sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

⁷ Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth God, is born of God, and knoweth God.

¹ Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ, is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat, loveth him also that is begotten of him.

⁴ For whatsoever is born of God, overcometh the world; and this s the victory that overcometh the world, our faith.

¹⁸ We know that whosoever is born of God, sinneth not, but he that is begotten of God, keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.

³⁴ Than shall the king say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the World.

¹⁸ To open their eyes, and to turn [them] from darkness to light, and[from] the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them who are sanctified by faith that is in me.

¹⁷ And if children, then fellow heirs; heirs of God, and fellow heirs with Christ: if so be that we suffer with [him], that we may be also glorified together.

²⁵ And every one that striveth for the mastery, is temperate in all things: Now, they [do it] to obtain a corruptible crown, but we an incorruptible.

⁵² In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump, (for the trumpet shall sound) and the dead shall arise incorruptible, and we shall be changed. ⁵³ For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal put on immortality. ⁵⁴ So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

¹⁸ For if the inheritance [be] of the law, [it is] no more of promise: but God gave [it] to Abraham by promise.

¹¹ In whom also we have been called; being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:

¹⁴ Who is the earnest of our inheritance, until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

¹⁸ The eyes of your heart being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,

⁵ For the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, whereof ye have already heard in the Word of the truth of the gospel:

¹² Giving thanks unto the Father, who hath called us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:

³ For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. ⁴ When Christ your life shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.

⁸ Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto them also that love his appearing.

¹⁵ And for this cause he is the Mediator of the new covenant, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions tht were under the first covenant, they who are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.

¹¹ For [where] the sun is risen with a burning heat, it withereth the grass, and the flower thereof falleth, and the grace of the fashion of it perisheth: so also shall the rich man fade away in his ways.

⁹ Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise, blessing; because ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing.

⁴ And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away.

²⁷ And there shall in no wise enter into it any common thing, neither [that] worketh abomination, or a lie: but they who are written in the Lamb's book of life.

¹⁴ But whosoever shall drink of the water that I shall give him, will never thirst: but the water that I shall give him, wilt be in him a fountain of water springing up into eternal life.

²⁴ Verily verily I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath eternal life, and shall not come into judgement; but is passed from death unto life.

²⁸ And I give unto them eternal life, and they shall never perish, neither shall any one pluck them out of my hand. ²⁹ My Father who gave [them] me, is greater than all: and none is able to pluck [them] out of my Fathers hand. ³⁰ I and the Father are one.

⁴⁸ He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

¹¹ And I am no longer in this world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. I am no longer in the world, and I am in the world: Holy Father, keep them in thy name. ¹² What thou gavest me, that they they may be one as we are. While I was with them, I kept them in thy name. Those that thou gavest me I have kept: And none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.

¹⁵ I ask not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil one.

³¹ What shall we then say to there things? if God [be] for us, who is against us? ³² He that did not so much as spare his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? ³³ Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? [It is] God that justifieth: ³⁴ Who [is] he that condemneth? [It is] Christ that died, yea rather that is risen again; who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. ³⁵ Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? tribulation, or distress, persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? ³⁶ As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. ³⁷ Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors on account of him that loved us. ³⁸ For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angel, nor authority, nor principality, nor power, nor things present, nor things to come, ³⁹ Nor height, nor depth, nor any creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

²⁰ Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not high minded, but fear.

²⁴ Not for that we have dominion over your faith, but are helpers of your joy: for by faith ye stand.

²⁰ I am crucified with Christ: Nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh, I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

⁸ For by his grace are we saved, through faith and that not of our selves; [it is] the gift of God:

¹⁷ That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye being rooted and grounded in love,

⁶ Being confident of this very thing, that he who hath begun a good work in you, will perform [it] until the day of Jesus Christ;

³ Remembring without ceasing the work of your faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God, and our Father: ⁴ Knowing, brethren beloved, your election of God.

¹³ But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren, beloved of God; because God hath from the beginning chosen us to salvation, through sanctification of the Spirit, and belief of the truth: ¹⁴ Whereunto he called you by our gospel to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

¹⁴ That thou keep the commandment both without spot, and unrebukable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ: ¹⁵ Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;

¹⁵ And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation, through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

¹² That ye be not slothful, but followers of them, who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

²⁸ So Christ also was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time, without sin, unto salvation.

¹³ Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end, for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;

² Beloved, we are now the Sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: We know, that when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

¹ JUDE the servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to them that are beloved by God the Father, the preserved and called in Jesus Christ:

²⁴ Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present [you] faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,

¹² Rejoyce, and be exceeding glad: for great [is] your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets who were before you.

²⁸ Come unto me all that labour, and you who are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

³⁷ And he took with him Peter, and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to be sorrowful, and very heavy.

⁴⁷ And my spirit hath rejoyced in God my Saviour.

¹⁰ And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, and it shall be to all people.

²⁰ But in this rejoyce not, that the daemons are subject unto you: but rejoyce, because your names are written in heaven.

²² And ye now therefore shall have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart will rejoice, and your joy no one taketh from you.

³³ These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye may have peace. In the world ye have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.

²² Confirming the souls of the disciples, [and] exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation come into the kingdom of God.

² By whom also we have access into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

¹¹ And not only this, but we also joy in God, through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have already received the atonement.

² That I have great heaviness and continual sorrow in my heart.

⁹ For I think that God hath set forth us the apostles last, as it were appointed to death. For we are made a spectacle unto the world, and to angels, and to men. ¹⁰ We [are] fools for Christ's sake, but ye [are] wise in Christ: we weak, but ye strong: ye honourable, but we despised. ¹¹ Even unto this present hour, we both hunger, and thirst, and are naked, and are buffeted, and have no certain dwelling-place; ¹² And labour, working with our own hands: being reviled, we bless: being persecuted, we suffer it: ¹³ Being defamed, we intreat: we are made as the filth of the world, the off-scouring of all things unto this day.

⁷ But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. ⁸ [We are] troubled on every side, yet not distressed; perplexed, but not in despair; ⁹ Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; ¹⁰ Always bearing about in the body, the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus Christ might be made manifest in our body. ¹¹ For we which live, are always delivered unto death for Jesus sake, that the life also of Jesus Christ might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.

¹⁷ For our light and short affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding eternal weight of glory;

¹⁰ As sorrowful, yet alway rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and possessing all things.

²³ Are they ministers of Christ? I speak as a fool, I [am] more: in labours more abundant, in prisons more frequent, in stripes above measure, in deaths oft. ²⁴ Of the Jews five times received I forty [stripes] save one. ²⁵ Thrice was I beaten with rods, once was I stoned, thrice I suffered shipwreck; a night and a day I have been in the deep: ²⁶ In journeyings often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils by countrymen, in perils by the heathen, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren; ²⁷ In weariness and painfulness, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness.

⁹ And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. ¹⁰ Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

²² But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

²⁶ For he longed to see you all, and was full of heaviness, because that ye had heard that he had been sick.

³ For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh:

⁴ Rejoice in the Lord alway: again I say, Rejoice.

⁶ And ye became followers of us, and of the Lord; having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Ghost:

³⁵ Women received their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection. ³⁶ And others had trial of mockings, and scourgings, yea moreover, of bonds, and imprisonment. ³⁷ They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheep-skins, and goat-skins, being destitute, afflicted, tormented: ³⁸ Of whom the world was not worthy, they wandered in deserts, and mountains, and dens and caves of the earth.

⁷ If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons: for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? ⁸ But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards and not sons. ⁹ Furthermore, we have had fathers of our flesh, who corrected us, and we gave [them] reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live? ¹⁰ For they verily for a few days chastned us, after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness. ¹¹ No chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless, afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness, unto them who are exercised thereby.

² My Brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;

⁹ Let the brother of low degree rejoice in that he is exalted:

⁹ Be afflicted, and mourn, [and] weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and joy to heaviness.

⁷ That the trial of your faith being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might befound unto praise, and honour, and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: ⁸ Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom though now ye see [him] not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable, and full of glory:

⁷ But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.

¹² Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial, which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: ¹³ But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.

¹⁰ But the God of all Grace, who hath called you unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, will make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle [you].

²⁸ And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto you, that ye which have followed me: In the regeneration, when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall your selves sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

²¹ His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant; because thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will set thee over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy Lord.

²³ His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will set thee over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

²⁰ But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: [then] whose shall those things be which thou hast provided; ²¹ --

³³ Sell that ye have, and give alms: provide your selves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens, that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupteth.

⁴⁴ How can ye believe, who receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that is from God only?

²⁶ If any serve me, let him follow me, and wheresover I am, these shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will the Father honour.

²⁰ But Peter said unto him, The money go to perdition with thee, because thou hast thought that the free gift of God may he purchased with money.

⁷ To them who by patient continuance in well-doing, seek for glory, and honour, and immortality; eternal life:

²⁹ But he [is] a Jew, who is one inwardly; and circumcision [is] of the heart, in the spirit, not in the letter, whose praise is not of men but of God.

³ And not only this, but we glory in tribulations also, knowing that tribulation worketh patience; ⁴ And patience, experience; and experience, hope:

¹³ He that doeth this work shall be made manifest. For the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work, of what sort it is.

⁵ Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come; who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts; and then shall every one have praise of God.

⁷ And to you who are troubled, rest with us; when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven, with his mighty angels, ⁸ In a flame of fire, taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus: ⁹ Who shall be punished with eternal destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power: ¹⁰ When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that have believed, because our testimony among you was believed in that day. ¹¹ Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of [this] calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of [his] goodness, and the work of faith with power: ¹² That the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and ye in him, according to the grace of God, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

³ Knowing [this,] that the trying of your faith worketh patience. ⁴ But let patience have [her] perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

¹² Blessed [is] the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which He hath promised to them that love him.

² Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are moth-eaten. ³ Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and the rust shall eat your flesh as fire: ye have heaped treasure together in the last days.

⁵ Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation, ready to be revealed in the last time.

⁴ To whom coming, a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, precious,

⁷ Unto you therefore who believe [he is] precious: but unto them who be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner.

¹² Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial, which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:

⁴ Whereby are given unto you exceeding great and precious promises; that by these you might be partakers of a divine nature, having escaped the Corruption that is in the world through lust.

¹⁰ But the day of the Lord will come as a thief; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat; the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burnt up ¹¹ Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in holy conversation and godliness, ¹² Looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

⁷ Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him: even so, Amen.

¹⁰ Fear not those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and may have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.

¹⁰ And thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

¹⁸ I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayst be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayst be clothed, and the shame of thy nakedness may not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eye-salve, that thou mayst see.

¹⁶ Saying, Alas, alas, that great city, that was clothed in purple, and scarlet, and fine linen, and decked with gold and precious stones, and pearl: ¹⁷ For in one hour so great riches iscome to nought. And every ship-master, and every one that sails unto the place, and mariners, and as many as trade by sea, stood afar off,

³⁷ He that loveth father or mother more than me, is not worthy of me:

³⁵ For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink; I was a stranger, and ye took me in: ³⁶ Naked; and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. ³⁷ Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed [thee]? or thisty, and gave [thee] drink? ³⁸ When saw we thee a stranger, and took [thee] in? and naked, and clothed [thee]? ³⁹ Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? ⁴⁰ And the King shall answer, and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, In as much as ye have done [it] unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done [it] unto me.

⁴² Jesus therefore said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth, and came from God; for I came not of my self but he sent me.

¹⁵ If ye love me, keep my commandments.

²¹ He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father: and I will love him, and will manifest my self to him.

²⁴ He that loveth me not, will not keep my sayings: and the word which you hear, is not mine, but his who sent me.

²⁹ Jesus saith unto him, Because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed; blessed [are] they that have not seen, and have believed.

³⁴ And when he had moreover brought them into his house, and set meat before them, he rejoiced, believing in God with all his house.

¹⁷ For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink, but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.

²² If any man love not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be anathema, Maran-atha.

²² Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.

¹⁸ While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen, [are] temporal; but the things which are not seen, eternal.

⁷ For we walk by faith, not by sight.

¹⁴ For the love of Christ constraineth us, because we thus judge, that [if] one died for all, then were all dead; ¹⁵ And he died for all, that they who live, should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him who died for them, and rose again.

¹⁵ Thanks [be] unto God for his unspeakable gift.

⁴ How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.

⁶ For in Jesus Christ, neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but faith which worketh by love:

¹³ In whom ye also did so, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, ¹⁴ Who is the earnest of our inheritance, until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

²⁴ Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen.

²⁵ And having this confidence, I know that I shall abide and continue with you all, for your furtherance and joy of faith:

¹ Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

²⁷ By saith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible.

⁶ Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations.

¹⁹ We therefore love God; because God first loved us. ²⁰ If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?

²² But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.

²¹ Whrefore lay apart all filthiness, and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.

¹⁷ For verily I say unto you, that many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and were not able to see them, and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard [them].

²⁴ Therefore the Son of man goeth as it is written of him: but wo unto that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed: it had been good on this account for that man it he had not been born.

²⁴ For I say unto you, that many prophets have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen [them];and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard [them] .

²⁵ But he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart as to all that the prophets have spoken! ²⁶ That Christ ought to have suffered these things, and to have entred into his glory? ²⁷ And he began from Moses, and all the prophets, to expound unto them in the scriptures, the things concerning himself.

⁴⁴ And he said unto them, These [were] my words which I spake unto you while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the law of Moses, and the Prophets, and the Psalms concerning me.

³⁹ Search the scriptures, for in them ye think ye have eternal life, and they are they which testifie of me.

⁵² The answered and said unto him, Art thou also of Galilee? Behold the scriptures: for out of Galilee hath arisen no prophet.

²² Moses truly said unto our fathers, A prophet shall the Lord our God raise up unto you, of our brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you. ²³ And it shall come to pass, every soul which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people. ²⁴ All the prophets also from Samuel, and those that follow after, as many as have spoken, have likewise spoken of these days.

⁵² Which of the prophets have not they persecuted? and they have slain those who shewed before of the coming of the just one, of whom ye have been now the betrayers and murderers:

⁴³ To him witness all the prophets, that through his name whosoever believeth in him, shall receive remission of sins.

²⁷ For they that dwell at Jerusalem, and her rulers, because they knew him not, nor yet the scriptures of the prophets which are read every sabbath, even they have fulfilled [them] in condemning [him.] ²⁸ And finding no cause of death in him, when they had judged him they delivered him to Pilate that he might be slain. ²⁹ And when they had fulfilled all that was written of him, they desired Pilate to crucify him, and when they had obtained that, and had taken him down from the tree, they laid [him] in a sepulchre.

¹¹ These were more generous than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

²³ And when they had appointed him a day, there came many to him unto his lodging; to whom he expounded testifying the kingdom of God, and persuading them concerning Jesus, out of the law of Moses, and [out of] the prophets, from morning till evening.

⁴⁰ God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect.

¹¹ Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings for Christ, and the glory that should follow.

¹⁹ We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do dwell that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day-star arise in your hearts: ²⁰ Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. ²¹ For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake, being moved by the Holy Ghost.

⁴¹ But these things said Esaias, when he saw the glory of God there, and spake of him.

²² Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great; saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come: ²³ That Christ should suffer, that he should be the first that should rise from the dead, and should shew light unto the people, and to the Gentiles.

⁹ But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now is any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

⁶ And because ye are ons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.

¹⁸ For Christ also hath once died for sins for us, the just for the unjust; that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickned by the Spirit: ¹⁹ By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;

²¹ For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake, being moved by the Holy Ghost.

¹⁰ And I fell at his feet to worship him: And he said unto me, See [thou do it] not; I am thy fellow-servant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

²⁵ At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid there things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes,

²⁷ All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no one knoweth the Son but the Father: neither knoweth any one the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal [him].

¹⁷ But Jesus answered and said, Blessed are thou Simon Bar-jona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my father who is in the heavens.

¹⁵ And he said unto them, Go ye into the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

²⁶ And it was revealed unto him by the Holy Ghost, that he should not see death before he should see the Lords Christ.

⁶ And departing from the cities they came preaching the gospel, and healing every where.

¹⁰ Likewise I say unto you, There shall be joy in the presence of the angels of God, over one sinner that repenteth.

²⁶ But when the Comforter shall come, whom I will send unto you from my Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceedeth from my Father, he will testifie of me.

⁷ But I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. ⁸ And when he is come, he will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgement: ⁹ Of sin indeed, because the believe not on me; ¹⁰ And of righteousness, because I go to the Father, and ye see me no more; ¹¹ And of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged. ¹² I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. ¹³ When he, the Spirit of truth shall come, he will guide you in all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, he will speak: and he will tell you things to come. ¹⁴ He will glorifie me, for he shall receive of mine and will shew it unto you. ¹⁵ All things that the Father hath, are mine: therefore said I, that he taketh of mine, and shall tell it unto you.

² And lo suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. ³ And there appeared unto them cloven tongues, like as of fire, and they sat upon each of them: ⁴ And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

¹⁷ It shall come to pass in the last days, saith the Lord, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and their sons and their daughters shall prophesy, and the young men shall see visions, and the old men shall dream dreams: ¹⁸ And on my servants, and on my handmaidens I will pour out of my Spirit:

³³ Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath poured out upon you this, which ye now both see and hear.

⁸ Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel,

³¹ And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness to every one that would believe.

²⁵ They therefore, when they had testified and spoken the word of the Lord, returned to Jerusalem: But they preached the gospel in many villages of the Samaritans.

⁴⁴ While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them who heard the word.

¹⁰ When therefore he was risen he declared to us the vision, and we understood that the Lord had called us to preach the gospel unto those that were in Macedonia.

¹⁵ So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the Gospel among you that are at Rome also.

¹⁷ For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

¹⁵ And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

¹⁹ Through his mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Holy Spirit; so that from Jerusalem unto Illyricum and round about, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.

¹⁰ But God hath revealed [them] unto us by his Spirit; for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

⁶ In purity, in knowledge, in long-suffering, in kindness, in the Holy Ghost, in love unfeigned,

¹² For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught [it], but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.

¹⁶ To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood:

¹⁰ To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly [places], might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,

⁵ For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance; as ye know what manner of men we were among you for your sake. ⁶ And ye became followers of us, and of the Lord; having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Ghost:

⁹ For ye remember, brethren, our labour and travail: labouring night and day, because we would not be chargeable unto any of you, we preached unto you the gospel of God.

⁴ God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to the will of God.

² For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with the faith of them that heard,

³⁹ And these all having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise: ⁴⁰ God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect.

²⁵ But the word ofthe Lord endureth for ever. And this is what is preached unto you.

¹¹ And I beheld, and Iheard the voice of many angels round about the throne, and the animals, and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands;

³⁵ Let your loyn be girded about, and lights burning;

⁸ But he will say unto him, Make ready wherewith I may sup, and gird thy self, and serve me, till I have eaten and drunken; and afterward eat and drink?

³⁰ Even thus shall it be in the day of the Son of man, when he shall be revealed.

³⁴ Take heed to your selves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that day come upon you unwares. ³⁵ For as a snare shall it come on them that dwell on the face of the whole-land.

¹³ Let us walk honestly as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying

⁴ For whatsoever things were written, were written for our learning; that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope. ⁵ Now the God of patience and consolation, grant you to be unanimous one towards another, according to Christ Jesus: ⁶ That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. ⁷ Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received you to the glory of God. ⁸ For I say, that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises unto the fathers: ⁹ And that the Gentiles might glorify God for [his] mercy; as it is written, For this cause I will confess to thee among the Gentiles, and sing unto thy name. ¹⁰ And again he saith, Rejoice, ye Gentiles, with his people. ¹¹ And again he saith, Praise the Lord, all ye Gentiles, and laud him, all ye people. ¹² And again Esaias saith, There shall be a root of Jesse, and he that shall rise to reign over the Gentiles; in him shall the Gentiles trust. ¹³ Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace; that ye may abound in hope through the power of the Holy Ghost.

⁷ So that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ:

¹⁴ Stand, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

⁶ Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. ⁷ For they that sleep, sleep in the night; and they that be drunken, are drunken in the night. ⁸ But let us who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breast-plate of faith, and love, and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.

⁷ And to you who are troubled, rest with us; when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven, with his mighty angels,

⁵ But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.

¹¹ For the grace of God that bringeth salvation, hath appeared to all men: ¹² Teaching us, that denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present world; ¹³ Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God, and our Saviour Jesus Christ:

¹⁹ Which we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the vail,

³⁵ Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.

³ Blessed [be] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope, by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, ⁴ To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, ⁵ Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation, ready to be revealed in the last time. ⁶ Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations. ⁷ That the trial of your faith being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might befound unto praise, and honour, and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: ⁸ Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom though now ye see [him] not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable, and full of glory: ⁹ Receiving the end of your faith, the salvation of [your] souls.

¹⁵ But sanctify the Lord Christ in your hearts: and [be] ready always to [give] an answer to every one that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you, but with meekness and fear:

⁸ Be sober, be vigilant; Your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about seeking whom he may devour.

³⁰ And the times of this ignorance God overlooked; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:

⁴ Therefore we are buried with him by Baptism unto death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

² And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of the mind, that ye may prove what [is] that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God.

² Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience.

¹⁸ Having the understanding darkened, being alienated fro the life of God, through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart: ¹⁹ Who despairing, have given themselves over to lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness and greediness. ²⁰ But ye have not so learned Christ; ²¹ If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus: ²² That ye put off concerning the former conversation, the old man, who is corrupt according to the deceitful lust:

⁶ Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.

⁵ Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, and uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: ⁶ For which thing's sake, the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience. ⁷ In the which ye also walked some time when ye lived in them.

⁵ Not in the lust of concupiscence, even as the Gentiles which know not the Lord.

³ For we our selves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, [and] hating one another. ⁴ But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, ⁵ Not by works of righteousness, which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us by the washing of regeneration, and renewing by the Holy Ghost;

² That he no longer should live the rest of [his] time in the flesh, to the lusts of men, but to the will of God. ³ For the time past may suffice to have wrought the will of te Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries:

⁴⁸ Ye shall therefore be perfect, even as your Father who is in the heavens is perfect.

⁷⁴ To grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hands of our enemies, might serve him without fear, ⁷⁵ In holiness and righteousness before him, all our days.

²⁸ And we know that all things work together for good, to them that love God, to them who are called according to [his] purpose.

²⁴ Even us whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles.

¹ Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse our selves from all filthiness of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

¹ Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; ² And walk in love, as Christ also hath saved us, and hath given himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God, for a sweet-smelling savour.

²⁷ Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind, striving together for the faith of the gospel;

¹⁵ That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom shine ye as lights in the world; ¹⁶ Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.

¹⁴ I press toward the mark, for the prize of the high calling of God in the Lord Jesus Christ.

²⁰ For our conversation is in heaven, from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:

¹² That ye would walk worthy of God, who hath called you unto his kingdom and glory.

³ For this is the will of God, your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication: ⁴ That every one of you should know how to posses his vessel in sanctification and honour; ⁵ Not in the lust of concupiscence, even as the Gentiles which know not the Lord. ⁶ That no one should overreach or defraud his brother in that matter: because that the Lord [is] the avenger of all such; as we also have forewarned you, and testified. ⁷ For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness.

¹² Let no man despise thy youth, but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in faith, in purity.

⁹ Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace which was given us in Christ Jesus, before the world began,

⁸ [This is] a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they who have believed in God, may be careful to employ themselves in honest trades: these things are good and profitable unto men.

¹⁴ And let ours also learn to maintain good works for necessary uses, that they be not unfruitful.

¹⁴ Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:

⁵ [Let your] conversation [be] without covetousness; [Be] content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

¹³ Who [is] a wise man and endued with knowledge amongst you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.

¹² Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by the good works which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.

¹⁶ Having a good conscience; that whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsly accuse your good conversation in Christ.

³ According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that [pertain] unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us by his own glory and virtue : ⁴ Whereby are given unto you exceeding great and precious promises; that by these you might be partakers of a divine nature, having escaped the Corruption that is in the world through lust. ⁵ And do ye give all diligence, add to your faith, virtue; and to virtue, knowledge; ⁶ And to knowledge, temperance; and to temperance, patience; and to patience, godliness; ⁷ And to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, charity. ⁸ For if these things be present with you, and abound, they make [you] neither barren, nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. ⁹ But he that lacketh these things, is blind, and cannot see far off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins. ¹⁰ Wherefore the rather, Brethren, give diligence that by your good works you may make your comfort and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall not fall:

¹¹ Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in holy conversation and godliness, ¹² Looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? ¹³ Nevertheless we look for new heavens and a new earth, and his promises, wherein dwellet righteousness. ¹⁴ Wherefore, Beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent, that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless:

⁷ And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia, write, These things saith he that is true, he that is holy, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no one shutteth, and shutteth and no one openeth.

⁸ And the four animals had each of them six wings about him, and they were full of eyes within; and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come.

¹⁰ And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?

⁹ After this manner therefore pray ye; Our Father who art in the heavens, Hallowed be thy name.

⁷ Ask and it shall be given you: seek, and ye shall find: knock, and it shall be opened unto you: ⁸ For every one that asketh, receiveth: and he that seeketh, findeth: and to him that knocketh, shall be opened. ⁹ Or what man is there of you, whom if his son shall ask bread, will he give him a stone? ¹⁰ And if he shall ask a fish, will he give him a serpent? ¹¹ If ye then being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father who is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?

¹⁶ And they sent out unto him their disciples, with the Herodians, saying, Master we know that thou art true, and teachest the way of God in truth, neither carest thou for any man: for thou regardest not the person of men.

³⁴ But Peter opened [his] mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: ³⁵ But in every nation, he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.

¹⁰ Glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile. ¹¹ For there is no respect of persons with God.

² Grace [be] to you, and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

⁶ Therefore [we] are always confident, knowing that whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from God.

¹¹ For behold, this self-same thing that ye sorrowed after a godly sort, what carefulness it wrought in you, yea, clearing of your selves, yea, indignation, yea, fear, yea, vehement desire, yea, zeal, yea, revenge! in all things ye have approved your selves to be clear in this matter.

⁶ But of these, who seemed to be somewhat: whatsoever they were, it maketh no matter to me; God accepteth no man's person: for they who seemed [to be somewhat], in conference added nothing to me.

¹⁴ For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,

⁹ And ye masters do the same things unto them, forbearing threatning: knowing that their and your master also is in heaven, neither is there respect of persons with God.

¹² Wherefore my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

²⁵ For he that doeth wrong, shall receive for the wrong which he hath done; and there is no respect of persons.

¹ Let us therefore fear, lest a promise being left of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.

¹³ These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and embraced [them], and confessed that they were strangers and sojourners and pilgrims on the earth. ¹⁴ For they that say such things, declare plainly that they seek a country. ¹⁵ And truly if they were mindful of that from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned: ¹⁶ But now they desire a better, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called [their] God: for he hath prepared for them a city.

²⁸ Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably, with reverence and godly fear.

² Why do thy disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? for they wash not their hands when they eat bread. ³ But he answered and said, Why do you also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?

⁵¹ Ye stiff necked, and uncircumcised in hearts and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as did also your fathers, so [do] ye. ⁵² Which of the prophets have not they persecuted? and they have slain those who shewed before of the coming of the just one, of whom ye have been now the betrayers and murderers:

³⁴ But when they knew that he was a Jew, with one voice of them all about the space of two hours, they cried out, Great [is] Diana of the Ephesians. ³⁵ And when the town-clerk had appeased the multitude he said, Ye men of Ephesus, what man is there that knoweth not how that our city is a keeper of the temple of the great Diana; and of that which fell down from Jupiter?

²¹ Because that when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkned.

²⁰ And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain.

²⁰ For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body.

²³ Are ye bought with a price? be not ye the servants of men.

⁴ Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God, and our Father:

¹⁷ This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as the Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind,

¹⁴ Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

⁷ That the trial of your faith being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might befound unto praise, and honour, and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:

²⁸ Even as the Son of man came not to be ministred unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many. But do you seek to increase from a little, and to be diminished from what is greater. However, when you are come and are desired to sup, do not you sit in the most eminent places, lest more honourable than thou come, and he that invited thee to supper come upon thee and say to thee, Go down still lower; and thou be put to confusion. But if thou sittest in a lower place, and one inferior to thee comes, he that invited thee will say to thee, Go and sit higher. For this will be to thy advantage.

²⁸ For this is my blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

²⁹ The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, who taketh away the sin of the world.

³⁶ And looking upon Jesus as he walked, be saith, Behold the Lamb of God.

³² The place of the scripture which he read, was this, He was led as a sheep to the slaughter, and like a lamb dumb before his shearer, so opened he not his mouth: ³³ In [his] humiliation his judgment was taken away: and who shall declare his generation? for his life is taken from the earth. ³⁴ And the eunuch answered Philip, and said, I pray thee, of whom speaketh the prophet this? of himself, or of some other. ³⁵ Then Philip opened his mouth and began at the same scripture and preached unto him Jesus.

⁷ Purge out the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover was sacrificed for us. ⁸ Therefore let us keep the feast, not with the old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened [bread] of sincerity and truth.

¹⁴ In whom we have the redemption of sins.

¹² Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption. ¹³ For if the blood of goats, and of bulls, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh; ¹⁴ How much more shall the blood of Christ do, who through the Holy Spirit, offered himself without spot to God, who will purge our conscience from dead works to serve the living God;

²² Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth: ²³ Who when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatned not; but committed [himself] to him that judgeth righteously; ²⁴ Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we being dead to our sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose wound ye were healed.

¹⁸ For Christ also hath once died for sins for us, the just for the unjust; that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickned by the Spirit:

⁷ But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

² And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for [those] of the whole world.

⁵ And from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the first-begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth: Unto him that loved us, and loosed us from [our] sins in his own blood.

⁶ And I beheld, and lo,in the midst also of the throne, and of the four animals, and in the midst of the elders stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns, and seven eyes, which are the spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.

⁹ And they sing a new song, saying, That thou art worthy to take the book, and to [open] the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed [them] to God by thy blood, out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;

¹⁴ And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they who come out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

¹ And I looked, and lo, a Lamb standing on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty four thousand, having his name and [his] Father's same written upon their foreheads.

²⁵ Yeare the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed. ²⁶ Unto you first, God having raised up his Son, sent him forth to bless [you,] in turning away every one from your iniquities.

²⁵ Whom God hath set forth a propitiation, through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that were formerly through the forbearance of God;

²⁵ Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began, ²⁶ But now is made manifest, by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith.

⁴ But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,

⁴ According as he hath chosen us in him, before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy, and without blame before him in love:

¹⁰ That in the dispensation of the fulness of times, he would gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth, in him:

⁹ And to make all men see, what [is] the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world, hath been hid in God, who created all things.

¹¹ According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:

²⁶ The mystery which hath been hid from ages, and from generations, but now made manifest to his saints:

⁹ Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace which was given us in Christ Jesus, before the world began, ¹⁰ But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light, through the gospel:

² In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before eternal ages; ³ But hath in due times manifested his word through preaching, which is committed unto me, according to the commandment of God our Saviour:

² Hath in these last days spoken unto us by [his] Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the ages.

²⁶ For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world, but now once in the end of the world, hath he appeared to put away sins by the sacrifice of himself.

² For the life was manifested, and we have seen [it], and bear witness, and shew unto you also that eternal life which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us.

⁵ And ye know that he was manifested to take away sins; and in him is no sin.

⁸ But he that committeth sin, is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

⁹ In this was manifested the love of God towards us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. ¹⁰ Herein is love; not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son the propitiation for our sins.

⁸ And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose name is [not] written in the book of life of the slain Lamb, from the foundation of the world.

¹⁸ And Jesus came, and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and on earth.

³⁴ For he whom God hath sent, speaketh the words of God: for God giveth [him] not the Spirit by measure.

²² For the Father judgeth no man; but hath given all judgment unto the Son; ²³ That all should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son, neither honoureth he the Father who hath sent him. ²⁴ Verily verily I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath eternal life, and shall not come into judgement; but is passed from death unto life.

⁴⁴ Jesus therefore cried and said, He that believeth on me, believeth not on me, but on him that sent me.

³² God shalt also glorifie him in himself, and shall straightway glorifie him.

¹ And he said to his disciples, Let not your heart be troubled: Believe in God, believe also in me.

⁶ Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

¹ These words spake Jesus; and lift up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorifie thy Son, that thy Son may glorifie thee.

²⁴ Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of Hades: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it.

³² This Jesus therefore hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses. ³³ Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath poured out upon you this, which ye now both see and hear.

¹³ The God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, the God of our fathers hath glorified his Son Jesus Christ, whom ye delivered up to Judgment, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined and willing to let him go.

¹⁵ And killed the prince of life, whom God raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses.

¹⁰ Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.

²⁴ But for us also to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead,

⁹ That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart, that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

¹² That we should be to the praise of [his] glory, who first hoped in Christ. ¹³ In whom ye also did so, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

¹⁵ Wherefore I also, after I have heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, and love unto all the saints,

²⁰ Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly [places], ²¹ Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age, but also in that which is to come: ²² And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him the head over all things to the church, ²³ Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

⁹ Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: ¹⁰ That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of [things] in heaven, and on earth, and under the earth; ¹¹ And that every tongue should confess, that Jesus Christ [is] Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

¹ PAUL an apostle of Jesus Christ, by the commandment of God our Saviour, and Jesus Christ, [who is] our hope;

⁹ But we see Jesus, who was made for a little while lower than the angels, for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.

¹ Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works; and of faith towards God;

²⁵ Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost, that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

²² Who isgone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God, angels, and authorities, and powers, being made subject unto him.

³⁴ A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. ³⁵ For by this shall all know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

¹⁷ These things I command you, Love one another.

¹⁷ Sanctifie them in the truth; they word is truth.

¹⁹ And for their sakes I sanctifie my self, that they also may be sanctified in the truth.

⁷ And the word of the Lord increased; and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and a great company of the priests were obedient to the faith.

⁹ And put no difference between us and them, having purified their hearts by faith.

⁸ But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness; wrath and indignation;

¹⁶ Or know ye not, that to whom ye yield your selves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? ¹⁷ But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin: but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine to which ye were delivered.

⁹ [Let] love [be] without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil, cleave to that which is good. ¹⁰ Be kindly affectioned one to another; with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another.

¹ O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you? before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you.

⁵ For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.

⁷ Ye did run well, who did hinder you, that ye should not obey the truth?

³ Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit, in the bond of peace.

⁹ And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge, and all judgment;

¹² And the Lord Jesus make you to increase and abound in love one towards another, and towards all men, even as we [do] towards you:

⁸ He therefore that despiseth, despiseth not man, but God; who hath also given unto you his holy Sprit. ⁹ But as touching brotherly love, we have no need to write unto you: for ye your selves are taught of God to love one another.

³ We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all towards each other aboundeth:

³ As I besought thee to abide still at Ephesus when I went into Macedonia, that thou mightest charge some that they teach no other doctrine,

⁵ Now the end of the commandment is charity, out of a pure heart, and a good conscience, and faith unfeigned:

² the elder women as mothers, the younger as sisters, with all purity.

¹⁴ That good thing which was committed unto thee, keep, by the Holy Ghost which dwelleth in us.

¹⁰ For God [is] not unrighteous, to forget your work of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministred to the saints, and do minister.

¹⁴ How much more shall the blood of Christ do, who through the Holy Spirit, offered himself without spot to God, who will purge our conscience from dead works to serve the living God;

⁸ By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which be should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.

¹ Let brotherly love continue.

¹⁵ If a brother or sister be naked, or destitute of daily food; ¹⁶ And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be you warmed, and filled: notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what profit is it?

⁸ Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you: cleanse the hands, ye sinners, and purify the hearts, ye double-minded.

¹⁷ Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king.

¹ Likewise, ye wives, [be] in subjection to your own husbands; that if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives,

⁸ Finally, [be ye] all unanimous, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, pitiful, humble:

⁸ And above all things have fervent charity among your selves: for charity covers a multitude of sins.

¹⁷ For the time [is], that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if [it] first [begin] at us, what shall the end [be] of them that obey not the gospel of God?

⁷ And to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, charity.

¹¹ For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.

¹⁴ We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren: he that loveth [them] not abideth in death. ¹⁵ Whosoever hateth his brother, is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him. ¹⁶ Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down [our] lives for the brethren. ¹⁷ But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him? ¹⁸ Little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue, but in deed and in truth. ¹⁹ Hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him.

²³ And this is his commandment, that we believe on the name of Jesus Christ himself, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.

¹² No one hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.

²⁰ If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?

⁴ Nevertheless, I have against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.

³⁵ Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

³ All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

³ Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily verily say unto thee, Except any one be born (born again, Vulg.), from above he cannot see the Kingdom of God.

⁵ Jesus answered, Verily verily I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Holy Spirit, be cannot enter into the Kingdom of God.

⁶³ It is the spirit that quickneth, the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I have spoken unto you, are spirit, are life.

²³ And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God, into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and four footed beasts, and creeping things.

¹² For the word of God [is] quick, and powerful, and sharper than a two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and [is] a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart:

³ Blessed [be] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope, by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

¹⁰ But the rich, in that he is made low: because as the flower of the grass he shall pass away. ¹¹ For [where] the sun is risen with a burning heat, it withereth the grass, and the flower thereof falleth, and the grace of the fashion of it perisheth: so also shall the rich man fade away in his ways.

¹⁴ Whereas ye know not what [shall be] on the morrow: What [is]your life? It will be even a vapour that appeareth for a little time, and then also vanisheth away.

¹⁷ And the world passeth away, and its lust: but he that doeth the will of God, abideth for ever.

¹⁸ For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be done.

¹⁷ And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the law to fail.

¹ IN the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

¹⁴ And the Word was made flesh, and pitched his tabernacle among us, and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.

²¹ For after that, in the wisdom of God, the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of the preaching to save them that believe. ²² For the Jews require signs, and the Greeks seek wisdom: ²³ But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumbling block, and unto the Gentiles foolishness; ²⁴ But unto them who are called both Jews and Greeks, Christ, the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

² For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.

¹ Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also you have received, and wherein ye stand; ² By which also ye are saved. Ye ought to keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. ³ For I delivered unto you first of all, that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins, according to the scriptures: ⁴ And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day, according to the scriptures:

¹⁷ And came, and preached peace to those who were afar off, and to those that were nigh.

⁸ Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ.

³ But hath in due times manifested his word through preaching, which is committed unto me, according to the commandment of God our Saviour:

¹² Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto you they did minister the things which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you, by the Holy Ghost, sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.

¹⁹ We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do dwell that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day-star arise in your hearts:

¹ THAT which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled of the word of life;

³ That which we have seen and heard, declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship [is] with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.
