³ But if any man love God, the same is known of him.

²³ And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me all ye that work iniquity.

¹⁷ He saith unto him the third time, Simon [son] of John, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved, because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Lord, thou knowest all men; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep.

²⁸ And we know that all things work together for good, to them that love God, to them who are called according to [his] purpose. ²⁹ For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate [to be] conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the first-born among many brethren.

² God hath not cast away his people whom he foreknew. Know ye not what the scripture saith of Elias? how he maketh intercession to God against Israel,

⁹ But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

⁹ But now after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage?

¹⁹ Nevertheless, the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of the Lord depart from iniquity.

¹² Blessed [is] the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which He hath promised to them that love him.

⁵ Hearken, my beloved brethren, hath not God chosen the poor of the world, rich in faith, and heirs of the promise, which he hath promised to them that love him?

⁸ Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom though now ye see [him] not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable, and full of glory:

¹⁹ We therefore love God; because God first loved us.

² By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments. ³ And his commandments are not grievous.

⁹ I know thy tribulation, and poverty, but thou art rich, and the blasphemy of them who say they are Jews, and are not, but the synagogue of Satan.

¹³ I know where thou dwellest, where satans seat [is]: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even, in those days [wherein] Antipas my faithful martyr was slain among you, where satan dwelleth.

¹⁹ I know ty works, and charity, and faith, and service, and thy patience, and thy works; the last more than the first.

⁸ I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, which no one can shut: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name. ⁹ Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will cause that they shall come, and shall worship before thy feet, and know that I have loved thee.

¹⁵ I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot. ¹⁶ So then because thou art luke-warm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth:
