²⁰ But I have against thee, that thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, who callest herself a prophetess, and teacheth and seduceth my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed to idols.

²⁰ But that we write to them, to abstain from things offered to idols and fornication, and things strangled and blood.

²⁹ and things strangled and fornication; from which keeping yourselves ye will do well. Fare ye well.

¹⁰ For if any one see thee, who hast knowledge, sitting at meat in an idol-temple, will not the conscience of him that is weak be encouraged to eat of the things sacrificed to the idol? ¹¹ And through thy knowledge shall the weak brother perish, for whom Christ died. ¹² But when ye sin thus against your brethren, and wound their weak conscience, ye sin against Christ.

¹⁸ Consider Israel after the flesh. Are not they who eat of the sacrifices, partakers of the altar? ¹⁹ What say I then? That a thing sacrificed to idols is any thing? or that an idol is any thing? ²⁰ But that what the heathens sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God. Now I would not that ye should be partakers with devils. ²¹ Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils; ye cannot be partakers of the table of the Lord, and the table of devils.

²⁸ But if any one say to you, This hath been sacrificed to an idol, eat not, for his sake that shewed thee, and for conscience sake.

⁴ But I have against thee, that thou hast left thy first love.

¹⁴ But I have a few things against thee, that thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balak to cast a stumbling-block before the sons of Israel, to eat things sacrificed to idols, and to commit fornication.
