⁷ Let us be glad and rejoice and give the glory to him; for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.

¹ Then shall the kingdom of heaven be like ten virgins, who taking their lamps, went forth to meet the bridegroom. ² But five of them were wise, and five were foolish. ³ They that were foolish, taking their lamps, took not oil with them. ⁴ But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. ⁵ While the bridegroom delayed, they all slumbered and slept. ⁶ But at midnight there was a cry, Behold the bridegroom cometh: come ye out to meet him. ⁷ Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps. ⁸ And the foolish said to the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. ⁹ But the wise answered, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. ¹⁰ And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage; and the door was shut.

³ beware of the concision, For we are the circumcision, who worship God in the spirit, and glory in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.

³⁶ and your lamps burning, And be like men that wait for their Lord, when he will return from the wedding, that, when he cometh and knocketh, they may open to him immediately.

²⁹ He that hath the bride is the bridegroom; but the friend of the bridegroom, who standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly, because of the bridegroom's voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled.

² For I am jealous over you with a godly jealousy; for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.

²³ For the husband is head of the wife, as Christ also is head of the church:

³² This is a great mystery; I mean, concerning Christ and the church.

⁹ And he saith to me, Write: Happy are they who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith to me, These are the true sayings of God.

² And I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride, adorned for her husband.

⁹ And there came one of the seven angels that had the seven phials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife.
