¹⁰ If any leadeth into captivity, he goeth into captivity: if any man kill with the sword, he must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faithfulness of the saints.

² ye shall be judged, and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you.

⁵² Then said Jesus to him, Put up again thy sword into its place; for all they that take the sword, shall perish by the sword.

¹¹ Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and long-suffering with joyfulness:

¹² That ye be not slothful, but followers of them, who through faith and long suffering inherited the promises.

¹ And he spake a parable to them to this end, that they ought always to pray, and not to faint; ² Saying, There was in a certain city a judge who feared not God nor reverenced man. ³ And there was a widow in that city, and she came to him, saying, Do me justice on mine adversary. ⁴ And he would not for a while, but afterwards he said in himself, Tho' I fear not God nor reverence man, ⁵ Yet because this widow giveth me trouble, I will do her justice, left by her continual coming she weary me out. ⁶ And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith? ⁷ And shall not God vindicate his own elect, who cry to him day and night, though he bear long with them? ⁸ I tell you he will vindicate them speedily. Yet when the Son of man cometh, will he find faith upon earth?

¹⁹ In your patience possess ye your souls.

³⁶ For ye have need of patience, that, having done the will of God, ye may receive the promise. ³⁷ For yet a little while, and he that cometh will come and will not tarry.

³ For consider him that endured such contradiction from sinners against himself, lest ye be weary and faint in your minds. ⁴ Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.

² My brethren, count it all joy, when ye fall into divers temptations, Knowing that the trying of your faith worketh patience. ³ But let patience have it's perfect work, ⁴ that ye may be perfect and intire, wanting nothing.

⁷ Be patient, therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath patience for it, till he receive the early and the latter rain. ⁸ Be ye also patient, stablish your hearts; for the coming of the Lord is nigh.

⁹ I John, your brother and companion in the affliction, and in the kingdom, and patience of Jesus, was in the island Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus.

² I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, that thou canst not bear evil men; and thou hast tried those who say they are apostles and are not, and hast found them liars: And hast patience,

¹⁹ I know thy love and faith, and thy service and patience, and thy last works more than the first.

³ Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast and repent. If thou watch not, I will come as a thief, and thou shalt not know at what hour I will come upon thee.

¹⁰ Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee, from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon the whole world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

¹² Here is the patience of the saints, who keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

⁶ For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and thou hast given them blood to drink. They are worthy.
