Philippians 4 Cross References - Wesley

1 Therefore, my brethren, beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my beloved. 2 I beseech Euodias, and I beseech Syntyche, to be of one mind in the Lord. 3 And I intreat thee also, true yoke-fellow, help those women who laboured together with me in the gospel, with both Clement and my other fellow-labourers, whose names are in the book of life. 4 Rejoice in the Lord always: again, I say, rejoice. 5 Let your gentleness be known to all men; the Lord is at hand. 6 Be careful for nothing, but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God: 7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report: if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things: 9 Which also ye have learned and received, and heard and seen in me; these do: and the God of peace shall be with you. 10 I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at last your care of me hath flourished again; wherein ye were also careful; but ye lacked opportunity. 11 Not that I speak in respect of want; for I have learned in whatsoever state I am, to be content. 12 I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound, every where and in every thing I am instructed, both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to want. 13 I can do all things through Christ strengthening me. 14 Nevertheless ye have done well, that ye did communicate to me in my affliction. 15 And ye know likewise, O Philippians, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated to me in respect of giving and receiving but you only. 16 For even in Thessalonica ye sent once and again to my necessities. 17 Not that I desire a gift, but I desire fruit that may abound to your account. 18 But I have all things, and abound: I am filled, having received of Epaphroditus the things which came from you, an odour of a sweet smell, an acceptable sacrifice, well pleasing to God. 19 And my God shall supply all your need, according to his riches in glory through Christ Jesus. 20 Now unto our God and Father be glory for ever and ever. 21 Amen. Salute every saint in Christ Jesus. The brethren who are with me salute you. 22 All the saints salute you, chiefly they that are of C?sar's houshold. 23 The Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.

Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? 26 Behold the birds of the air: they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. 27 Are ye not much better than they? And which of you by taking thought can add to his age the smallest measure? 28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: 29 And yet I say unto you, that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 Now: if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the still, will he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? 31 Therefore take not thought, saying, What shall we eat, or what shall we drink, or what shall we wear?

Or naked, and clothed thee? 39 Or when saw we thee sick or in prison, and came to thee? 40 And the king shall answer and say to them, Verily I say to you, Inasmuch as ye did it to one of the least of these my brethren, ye did it to me.

Philippians 2:25-26

18 For I reckon that the sufferings of the present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

Romans 9:23

23 And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, whom he had before prepared for glory?

Romans 15:13

13 Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, by the power of the Holy Ghost.

Romans 15:27

27 It hath pleased them, and they are their debtors. For if the Gentiles have partook of their spiritual things, they ought to minister to them in carnal things. 28 When therefore I have performed this, and sealed to them this fruit, I will go by you into Spain.

Romans 15:33

33 Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen!

Romans 16:2-4

2 That ye may receive her in the Lord, as becometh saints, and assist her in whatsoever business she needeth you: for she hath been an helper of many, and of myself also. 3 Salute Priscilla and Aquila, my fellow-labourers in Christ Jesus:

Romans 16:3-16

3 Salute Priscilla and Aquila, my fellow-labourers in Christ Jesus: 4 Who for my life, have laid down their own necks; to whom not I alone owe my thanks, but likewise all the churches of the Gentiles.

Romans 16:4-16

4 Who for my life, have laid down their own necks; to whom not I alone owe my thanks, but likewise all the churches of the Gentiles. 5 Salute also the church that is in their house. Salute my well-beloved Epenetus, who is the first-fruits of Asia unto Christ. 6 Salute Mary, who bestowed much labour on us. Salute Andronicus and Junias, 7 my kinsmen, and my fellow-prisoners, who are in repute among the apostles, who also were in Christ before me. 8 Salute Amplias, my beloved in the Lord. 9 Salute Urbanus, our fellow-labourer in Christ, and my beloved Stachys.

Romans 16:9-16

9 Salute Urbanus, our fellow-labourer in Christ, and my beloved Stachys. 10 Salute Apelles, approved in Christ. 11 Salute those of the family of Aristobulus. Salute my kinsman Herodion. Salute those of the family of Narcissus, who are in the Lord. 12 Salute Tryphena and Tryphosa, who labour in the Lord. Salute the beloved Persis, who hath laboured much in the Lord.

12 Salute Tryphena and Tryphosa, who labour in the Lord. Salute the beloved Persis, who hath laboured much in the Lord. 13 Salute Rufus, chosen in the Lord, and his mother and mine. 14 Salute Asyncritus, Phlegon, Hermes, Patrobas, Hermas, and the brethren who are with them. 15 Salute Philologus and Julias, Nereus and his sister, and Olympas, and all the saints that are with them. 16 Salute one another with an holy kiss. The churches of Christ salute you.

Romans 16:16

16 Salute one another with an holy kiss. The churches of Christ salute you.

Romans 16:20

20 And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. 21 Timothy my fellow-labourer, and Lucius, and Jason, and Sosipater my kinsmen salute you. 22 I Tertius, who wrote this epistle, salute you in the Lord. 23 Caius, my host, and of the whole church, saluteth you. Erastus the chamberlain of the city saluteth you, and Quartus, a brother.

Romans 16:27

27 made known to all nations for the obedience of faith) To the only wise God, to him be glory through Jesus Christ for ever. Amen!

1 Corinthians 1:2

2 and Sosthenes a brother, To the church of God, which is in Corinth, to them that are sanctified through Christ Jesus, called and holy, with all that in every place call upon the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, both theirs and ours:

1 Corinthians 1:10

10 Now I exhort you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no schisms among you, but that ye be perfectly joined together, in the same mind and in the same judgment.

1 Corinthians 4:5

5 Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and manifest the counsels of the hearts. And then shall every one have praise from God.

1 Corinthians 4:9-13

9 For I think God hath set forth us the apostles last, as appointed to death; for we are made a spectacle to the world, both to angels and to men. 10 We are fools for Christ's sake; but ye are wise in Christ: we are weak; but ye are strong: ye are honourable; but we are despised. 11 Even to this present hour, we both hunger and thirst, and are naked, and are buffeted, and have no certain abode, And labour, working with our own hands:

1 Corinthians 4:11-13

11 Even to this present hour, we both hunger and thirst, and are naked, and are buffeted, and have no certain abode, And labour, working with our own hands: 12 being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we suffer it:

1 Corinthians 4:12-13

12 being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we suffer it: 13 Being defamed, we intreat: we are made as the filth of the world, and off-scouring of all things to this day.

1 Corinthians 6:7

7 Indeed even this is altogether a fault among you, that ye have contests with each other. Why do ye not rather suffer wrong?

1 Corinthians 7:21

21 Art thou called being a servant? care not for it: but if thou canst be made free, use it rather.

1 Corinthians 7:29-31

29 But this I say, brethren, the time is short: it remaineth, that even they that have wives, be as if they had none: And they that weep, as if they wept not; 30 and they that rejoice, as if they rejoiced not; 31 and they that buy, as if they possessed not; And they that use this world, as not abusing it; for the fashion of this world passeth away: Now I would have you without carefulness. 32 The unmarried man careth for the things of the Lord, how he may please the Lord.

1 Corinthians 8:13

13 Wherefore if meat make my brother to offend, I will eat no flesh while the world standeth, lest I make my brother to offend.

1 Corinthians 9:10-11

10 Or speaketh he chiefly for our sakes? surely for our sakes it was written: for he who ploweth, ought to plow in hope; and he that thresheth in hope, ought to be a partaker of his hope. 11 If we have sown unto you spiritual things, is it a great matter, if we shall reap your carnal things?

1 Corinthians 9:11-15

11 If we have sown unto you spiritual things, is it a great matter, if we shall reap your carnal things? 12 If others partake of this power over you, do not we rather? Yet we have not used this power: but we suffer all things, lest we should hinder the gospel of Christ. 13 Know ye not, that they who are employed about holy things, are fed out of the temple? And they who wait at the altar, are partakers with the altar. 14 So also hath the Lord ordained, that they who preach the gospel, should live of the gospel. 15 But I have used none of these things; nor have I written thus, that it might be done so unto me: for it were better for me to die, than that any man should make this my glorying void.

1 Corinthians 9:25

25 And every one that contendeth, is temperate in all things: and they indeed, to obtain a corruptible crown, but we an incorruptible.

1 Corinthians 10:31-11:1

31 Therefore whether ye eat or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.

1 Corinthians 13:1-13

1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not love, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. 2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith so as to remove mountains, and have not love, I am nothing. 3 And though I give all my goods to feed the poor, and deliver up my body to be burned, and have not love, it profiteth me nothing. 4 Love suffereth long and is kind; love envieth not; love acteth not rashly, is not puffed up: 5 Doth not behave indecently, seeketh not her own, is not provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not at iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth: 6 Covereth all things, 7 believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. 8 Love never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away. 9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. 10 And when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall vanish away. 11 When I was a child, I talked as a child, I understood as a child, I reasoned as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things. 12 And now we see by means of a glass obscurely; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then I shall know even as also I am known. 13 And now abide these three, faith, hope, love; but the greatest of these is love.

1 Corinthians 14:33

33 For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints.

1 Corinthians 15:58

58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labour is not vain in the Lord.

1 Corinthians 16:13

13 Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, acquit yourselves like men; be strong.

2 Corinthians 1:11

11 You likewise helping together with us by prayer for us, that for the gift bestowed upon us by means of many persons, thanks may be given by many on our behalf.

2 Corinthians 1:14

14 As also ye have acknowledged us in part, that we are your rejoicing, as ye also are ours, in the day of the Lord Jesus.

2 Corinthians 2:14-16

14 Now thanks be to God, who causeth us always to triumph through Christ, and manifesteth by us in every place the odour of his knowledge. 15 For we are to God a sweet odour of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them that perish: 16 To these an odour of death unto death, but to those an odour of life unto life. And who is sufficient for these things?

2 Corinthians 3:4-5

4 Such trust have we in God through Christ. 5 Not that we are sufficient of ourselves, to think any thing as from ourselves; but our sufficiency is from God:

2 Corinthians 4:17

17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh out for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory:

2 Corinthians 5:19-20

19 that God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, not imputing their traspasses to them, and hath committed to us the word of reconciliation. 20 Therefore we are embassadors for Christ, as though God were intreating by us: we beseech you, in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.

2 Corinthians 6:4-10

4 in much patience, in afflictions, 5 in necessities, in distresses, In stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labours, in watchings, in fastings; 6 By purity, by prudence, by long suffering, by kindness, by the Holy Ghost, by love unfeigned, 7 By the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armour of righteousness on the right-hand and the left:

2 Corinthians 6:7-10

7 By the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armour of righteousness on the right-hand and the left: 8 Through honour and dishonour, through evil report and good report; as deceivers, yet true, As unknown, yet well-known;

2 Corinthians 6:8-10

8 Through honour and dishonour, through evil report and good report; as deceivers, yet true, As unknown, yet well-known; 9 as dying, yet behold we live; as chastened, yet not killed; 10 As sorrowing, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, yet possessing all things.

2 Corinthians 6:10-10

10 As sorrowing, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, yet possessing all things.

2 Corinthians 7:6-7

6 But God who comforteth them that are brought low, comforted us by the coming of Titus. 7 And not only by his coming, but also by the comfort wherewith he was comforted over you, when he told us your earnest desire, your grief, your zeal for me, so that I rejoiced the more.

2 Corinthians 8:9

9 For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.

2 Corinthians 8:18

18 And we have sent with him the brother, whose praise in the gospel is through all the churches: (And not only so,

2 Corinthians 8:21

21 For we provide things honest, not only before the Lord, but also before men.

2 Corinthians 9:5

5 Therefore I thought it necessary, to desire the brethren to go before to you, and compleat this your bounty, which had been spoken of before, that it may be ready as a bounty, and not as a matter of covetousness.

2 Corinthians 9:8

8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that having always all sufficiency in all things, ye may abound to every good work:

2 Corinthians 9:8-11

8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that having always all sufficiency in all things, ye may abound to every good work: 9 (As it is written, He hath scattered abroad, he hath given to the poor; his righteousness remaineth for ever.

2 Corinthians 9:9-11

9 (As it is written, He hath scattered abroad, he hath given to the poor; his righteousness remaineth for ever. 10 And may he who supplieth seed to the sower, and bread for your food, supply and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness:)

2 Corinthians 9:10-11

10 And may he who supplieth seed to the sower, and bread for your food, supply and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness:) 11 Being inriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which worketh by us thanksgiving to God.

2 Corinthians 9:11-11

11 Being inriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which worketh by us thanksgiving to God. 12 For the administration of this service, doth not only supply the necessities of the saints, but likewise aboundeth by the thanksgivings of many to God:

2 Corinthians 9:12

12 For the administration of this service, doth not only supply the necessities of the saints, but likewise aboundeth by the thanksgivings of many to God: 13 (Who, by experiment of this administration, glorify God for your avowed subjection to the gospel of Christ, and for your liberal communication to them and to all men.)

2 Corinthians 10:1

1 Now I Paul myself, who when present am base among you, but being absent am bold toward you, intreat you, by the meekness and gentleness of Christ,

2 Corinthians 10:10

10 For his letters indeed, say they, are weighty and strong; but his bodily presence is weak, and his speech contemptible.

2 Corinthians 11:7

7 Have I committed an offence in humbling myself, that ye might be exalted, because I have preached the gospel of God to you at free cost? 8 I spoiled other churches, taking wages of them, to serve you: and when I was present with you and wanted, I was chargeable to no man. 9 For the brethren who came from Macedonia supplied my want; and I have in all things kept myself from being burdensom, and will keep myself.

2 Corinthians 11:9-12

9 For the brethren who came from Macedonia supplied my want; and I have in all things kept myself from being burdensom, and will keep myself. 10 As the truth of Christ is in me, this my boasting shall not be stopped in the regions of Achaia. 11 Wherefore? 12 Because I love you not? God knoweth. But what I do, I will do, that I may cut off the occasion from them who desire occasion, that wherein they boast, they may be found even as we.

2 Corinthians 11:16

16 I say again, Let no man think me a fool; but if otherwise, yet as a fool receive me, that I also may boast a little.

2 Corinthians 11:27

27 In labour and toil, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness.

2 Corinthians 12:7-10

7 And lest I should be lifted up with the abundance of the revelations, there was given me a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan, to buffet me, lest I should be lifted up. 8 Concerning this, I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. 9 But he said to me, My grace is sufficient for thee; for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my weaknesses, that the strength of Christ may rest upon me. 10 Therefore I am well pleased in weaknesses, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake; for when I am weak, then I am strong. 11 I am become a fool in boasting; but ye have compelled me: for I ought to have been commended by you: for in nothing have I fallen short of the very chief apostles, though I am nothing. 12 Truly the signs of an apostle were wrought among you, in all patience, in signs, and wonders, and mighty deeds. 13 For wherein were ye inferior to the other churches, unless that I myself was not burdensom to you. 14 Forgive me this wrong. Behold the third time I am ready to come to you: yet I will not be burdensom to you; for I seek not yours, but you; for the children ought not to lay up treasure for the parents, but the parents for the children. 15 And I will most gladly spend, and be spent for your souls, though the more abundantly I love you, the less I am loved.

2 Corinthians 12:21

21 and I should mourn over many of them who had sinned before, and have not repented of the uncleanness, and fornication, and lasciviousness, which they have committed.

2 Corinthians 13:1-2

1 I am coming to you this third time: every word shall be established by the mouth of two or three witnesses. 2 I told you before, and do tell before-hand (though now absent, as if I were present the second time) those who had sinned before, and all the rest, that, if I come again, I will not spare:

2 Corinthians 13:7

7 Now I pray God, that ye may do no evil: not that we may appear approved, but that ye may do that which is good, though we should be as reprobates.

2 Corinthians 13:11

11 Finally, brethren, farewel: be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace, and the God of love and peace shall be with you.

2 Corinthians 13:13

13 All the saints salute you. 14 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all.

Galatians 1:2

2 who raised him from the dead) And all the brethren who are with me,

Galatians 1:4-5

4 (that he might deliver us from the present evil world) according to the will of God and our Father, 5 To him be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Galatians 1:8

8 But if we or an angel from heaven preach to you another gospel than we have preached to you, let him be accursed:

Galatians 2:3

3 (But neither was Titus, who was with me,

Galatians 5:1

1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made you free, and be not intangled again with the yoke of bondage.

Galatians 5:22

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, fidelity,

Galatians 6:6

6 Let him that is taught in the word impart to him that teacheth in all good things.

Galatians 6:10

10 Therefore as we have opportunity, let us do good unto all men; but especially to them who are of the houshold of faith.

Ephesians 1:1

Ephesians 3:8

8 Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints is this grace given, to preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ.

Ephesians 3:19

19 that ye may be filled with all the fulness of God.

Ephesians 3:21

21 To him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus, throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

Ephesians 4:1-8

1 I therefore the prisoner of the Lord beseech you, to walk worthy of the calling wherewith ye are called, 2 With all lowliness and meekness, with long-suffering, 3 forbearing one another in love, Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit, by the bond of peace. 4 There is one body and one Spirit, as ye are also called in one hope of your calling; 5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism: 6 One God, and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in all. 7 But to every one of us is given grace, according to the measure of the gift of Christ. 8 Wherefore he saith, Having ascended on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts to men.

Ephesians 4:20-21

20 But ye have not so learned Christ; Since ye have heard him, 21 and been taught by him, (as the truth is in Jesus) To put off,

Ephesians 4:25

25 Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour; for we are members one of another.

Ephesians 5:2

2 as Christ also hath loved us, and given himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God of a sweet-smelling savour.

Ephesians 5:9

9 walk as children of light; (The fruit of the light is in all goodness, and righteousness, and truth:)

Ephesians 5:20

20 Giving thanks always for all things to God even the Father, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,

Ephesians 6:10-18

10 Finally, brethren, be strong through the Lord, and through the power of his might.

Ephesians 6:10

10 Finally, brethren, be strong through the Lord, and through the power of his might. 11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the world, of the darkness of this age, against wicked spirits in heavenly places. 13 Wherefore take to you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness,

Ephesians 6:14

14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 And having your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace. 16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, 18 which is the word of God, Praying alway by the Spirit with all prayer and supplication, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints,

Ephesians 6:18

18 which is the word of God, Praying alway by the Spirit with all prayer and supplication, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints,

Philippians 1:1

1 Paul and Timotheus, the servants of Jesus Christ, to all the saints who are at Philippi, with the bishops and deacons, 2 Grace be unto you, and peace from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 3 I thank my God upon every mention of you,

Philippians 1:5

5 For your fellowship in the gospel, from the first day until now:

Philippians 1:7

7 As it is right for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart, who were all partakers of my grace, both in my bonds, and in the defence and confirmation of the gospel. 8 For God is my witness, how I long for you all, with the bowels of Jesus Christ.

Philippians 1:11

11 Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are through Christ Jesus, to the glory and praise of God.

Philippians 1:13

13 So that my bonds in Christ have been made manifest in the whole palace, and to all others:

Philippians 1:27

27 Only let your behaviour be worthy the gospel of Christ, that whether I come and see you, or be absent, I may hear concerning you, that ye stand fast, in one spirit, with one soul striving together for the faith of the gospel,

Philippians 2:2-3

2 that ye think the same thing, having the same love, being of one soul, of one mind. 3 Do nothing through strife or vain-glory, but in lowliness of mind, esteem each the others better than themselves.

Colossians 3:15

15 And the peace of God shall rule in your hearts, to which also ye are called in one body: and be ye thankful. 16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms, and hymns, and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your heart unto the Lord. 17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks unto God and the Father through him.

Colossians 4:2

2 Continue in prayer, and watch therein with thanksgiving:

Colossians 4:5

5 Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time.

Colossians 4:10-14

10 Aristarchus, my fellow-prisoner, saluteth you, and Marcus, sister's son to Barnabas; (touching whom ye have received directions, if he come to you, 11 receive him,) And Jesus, called Justus, who are of the circumcision: these are the only fellow-workers unto the kingdom of God, who have been a comfort to me. 12 Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, saluteth you, always labouring fervently for you in prayer, that ye may stand, perfect and filled, with all the will of God.

Colossians 4:12-14

12 Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, saluteth you, always labouring fervently for you in prayer, that ye may stand, perfect and filled, with all the will of God. 13 For I bear him witness, that he hath a great zeal for you, and for them in Laodicea, and for them in Hierapolis. 14 Luke the beloved physician and Demas salute you.

1 Thessalonians 1:6

6 And ye became imitators of us and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Ghost.

1 Thessalonians 2:2-12

2 and had been shamefully intreated at Philippi, as ye know, we were bold thro' our God to speak to you the gospel of God with much contention. 3 For our exhortation is not of deceit, nor of uncleanness, nor in guile. 4 But as we have been approved of God to be intrusted with the gospel, so we speak, not as pleasing men, but God who trieth our hearts. 5 For neither at any time used we flattering words, as ye know, nor a cloak of covetousness: God is witness:

1 Thessalonians 2:5

5 For neither at any time used we flattering words, as ye know, nor a cloak of covetousness: God is witness: 6 Nor sought we glory of men, neither from you, nor from others, when we might have been burdensome, as the Apostles of Christ. 7 But we were gentle in the midst of you, even as a nurse cherisheth her own children. 8 So, loving you tenderly, we were ready to impart to you not only the gospel of God, but our own souls also, because ye were dear to us. 9 For ye remember, brethren, our labour and toil: working night and day, that we might not burden any of you, we preached to you the gospel of God.

1 Thessalonians 2:9

9 For ye remember, brethren, our labour and toil: working night and day, that we might not burden any of you, we preached to you the gospel of God. 10 Ye are witnesses and God, how holily and justly and unblameably we behaved among you that believe: 11 As ye know how we exhorted and comforted every one of you, 12 as a father his own children, And charged you to walk worthy of God, who hath called you to his kingdom and glory.

1 Thessalonians 2:12

12 as a father his own children, And charged you to walk worthy of God, who hath called you to his kingdom and glory.

1 Thessalonians 2:14

14 For ye, brethren, became followers of the churches of God in Christ Jesus, which are in Judea; for ye also suffered the same things from your own countrymen, as they likewise from the Jews:

1 Thessalonians 2:18

18 Wherefore we would have come to you (even I Paul) once and again, but Satan hindered us. 19 For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Are not ye also before our Lord Jesus at his coming? 20 For ye are our glory and joy.

1 Thessalonians 3:8-9

8 For now we live, if ye stand fast in the Lord. 9 For what thanks can we render to God for you, for all the joy wherewith we rejoice for your sake before our God?

1 Thessalonians 3:13

13 That he may establish your hearts unblameable in holiness (before our God and Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ) with all his saints.

1 Thessalonians 4:1-8

1 It remaineth then, brethren, that we beseech and exhort you by the Lord Jesus, as ye have received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God, that ye abound therein more and more. 2 For ye know what commandments we gave you by the Lord Jesus. 3 For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye abstain from fornication; 4 That every one of you know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour; 5 Not in passionate desire, as the Gentiles who know not God. 6 That none circumvent or defraud his brother in this matter, because the Lord is an avenger of all these things, as we have also told you before and testified. 7 For God hath not called us to uncleanness, but to holiness. 8 He therefore that despiseth, despiseth not man but God; who hath also given you his Holy Spirit.

1 Thessalonians 4:12

12 That ye may walk decently toward them that are without, and may want nothing.

1 Thessalonians 5:2-4

2 For ye yourselves know perfectly, that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. 3 When they say, peace and safety, then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child, and they shall not escape. 4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.

2 Thessalonians 1:3

2 Thessalonians 3:6-10

6 Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, to withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly and not according to the tradition which he received of us. 7 For yourselves know how ye ought to imitate us: we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you, 8 Neither did we eat any man's bread for nothing, but wrought with labour and toil, night and day, that we might not burden any of you. 9 Not because we have not power; but that we might make ourselves an example to you, that ye might imitate us. 10 For when we were with you, this we commanded you, If any will not work, neither let him eat.

2 Thessalonians 3:16

16 Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means.

7 He ought also to have a good report from them that are without, lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil. 8 Likewise the deacons must be serious, not double tongued, not given to much wine, not desirous of filthy gain: Holding fast the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience.

1 Timothy 6:6-9

6 But godliness with content is great gain. 7 For we brought nothing into the world: it is manifest that neither can we carry any thing out. 8 Having then food and covering, with these let us be content. 9 But they that desire to be rich, fall into temptation, and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful desires, which plunge men into destruction and perdition. 10 For the love of money is the root of all evils; which some coveting, have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

1 Timothy 6:17

17 Charge the rich in this world not to be high-minded, neither to trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy: 18 To do good, to be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate,

1 Peter 3:8-11

8 Finally, Be ye all of one mind, sympathizing with each other, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous: 9 Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing, but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are called to this, to inherit a blessing. 10 For he that loveth life and desireth to see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips, that they speak no guile: 11 Let him turn from evil and do good; let him seek peace and pursue it.

2 Peter 3:8-14

8 But, beloved, be not ye ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. 9 The Lord is not slow concerning his promise (tho' some men count it slowness) but is long-suffering toward us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. 10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, the elements shall melt with fervent heat, and the earth, and the works that are therein, shall be burnt up. 11 Seeing then all these things are dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, 12 Looking for and hastning the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? 13 Nevertheless we look for new heavens and a new earth, according to his promise, wherein dwelleth righteousness. 14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing ye look for these things, labour to be found of him in peace, without spot and blameless.

2 Peter 3:17

17 Ye, therefore, beloved, knowing these things before, beware, lest ye also being led away by the error of the wicked fall from your own stedfastness:
