⁶ He is not here; for he is risen, as he said: come, see the place where the Lord lay.

⁴⁰ For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

²¹ From that time Jesus began to shew his disciples, That he must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day.

⁹ Jesus charged them, saying, Tell the vision to no man, till the Son of man be risen again from the dead.

²³ And they will kill him, and the third day he shall rise again: and they were exceeding sorry.

¹⁹ And shall deliver him to the Gentiles, to mock and scourge and crucify him; and the third day he shall rise again.

³¹ Then saith Jesus to them, All ye will be offended at me this night, for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered. ³² But after I am risen, I will go before you into Galilee.

⁶³ Saying, Sir, we remember, that impostor said while he was yet alive, After three days I will rise again.

³¹ And he began to teach them, that the Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders and the chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again.

⁶ He saith to them, Be not affrighted: ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He is risen: he is not here. Behold the place where they laid him.

⁶ He is not here, but is risen. Remember how he spake to you being yet in Galilee, ⁷ Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and rise again the third day. ⁸ And they remembered his words,

¹² But Peter rising, ran to the sepulchre; and stooping down, he seeth the linen clothes laid by themselves; and he went home, wondring at what was come to pass.

²³ And not finding his body, they came, saying, That they had seen also a vision of angels, who say, he is alive.

⁴⁴ And he said to them, These are the words which I spake to you, being yet with you, that all things written in the law of Moses, and the prophets, and the psalms concerning me, must be fulfilled.

¹⁹ Jesus answered and said to them, Destroy this temple, and I will raise it up in three days.

¹⁷ Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I may take it again.

⁴ They both ran together: but the other disciple outran Peter, and came first to the sepulchre. ⁵ And stooping down, he saw the linen clothes lying; yet went he not in. ⁶ Then cometh Simon Peter following him, and went into the sepulchre, and seeth the linen clothes lie, And the napkin that was about his head, ⁷ not lying with the linen clothes, but folded up in a place by itself. ⁸ Then the other disciple, who came first to the sepulchre, went in; and he saw and believed. ⁹ For as yet they knew not the scripture, that he must rise again from the dead.
