⁶¹ At last came two false witnesses, And said, This fellow said, I am able to destroy the temple of God, and to build it in three days.

²⁴ But the Pharisees hearing it said, This fellow casteth not out devils but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils.

⁷¹ And when he was gone out into the porch, another maid saw him, and said to them that were there, This fellow also was with Jesus of Nazareth.

⁴⁰ Thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days, save thyself. If thou be the Son God, come down from the cross.

²⁹ And they that passed by, reviled him, wagging their heads and saying, Ah, thou that destroyest the temple,

² And they accused him saying, We found this fellow perverting the nation, and forbidding to give tribute to Cesar, saying, that he himself is Christ a king.

¹⁹ Jesus answered and said to them, Destroy this temple, and I will raise it up in three days. ²⁰ Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou raise it up in three days? ²¹ But he spake of the temple of his body. When therefore he was risen from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this;

²⁹ We know that God spake to Moses; but we know not this fellow, whence he is.

¹³ And set up false witnesses who said, This man ceaseth not to speak words against the holy place and the law. ¹⁴ For we have heard him say, That Jesus of Nazareth will destroy this place, and change the rites which Moses delivered us.

¹⁸ Then some of the Epicurean and Stoic philosophers incountered him: and some said, What would this babler say? Others, he seemeth to be a proclaimer of strange gods; because he preached to them Jesus, and the resurrection.

¹³ This fellow persuadeth men to worship God contrary to the law.

²² And they heard him to this word, and then lifted up their voice and said, Away with such a fellow from the earth; for it is not fit that he should live.
