³⁵ Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

¹⁸ For verily I say to you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all things be effected.

² In hope of eternal life, which God, who cannot lie, promised before the world began;

¹¹ They shall perish, but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment; ¹² And as a vesture shalt thou change them, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail.

²⁵ But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which is preached to you by the gospel.

⁷ But the heavens and the earth that are now, are by his word kept in store reserved unto fire, against the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men. ⁸ But, beloved, be not ye ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. ⁹ The Lord is not slow concerning his promise (tho' some men count it slowness) but is long-suffering toward us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. ¹⁰ But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, the elements shall melt with fervent heat, and the earth, and the works that are therein, shall be burnt up. ¹¹ Seeing then all these things are dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, ¹² Looking for and hastning the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

¹⁴ And to the angel of the church at Laodicea write, These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God.

¹⁴ And the heaven departed as a book that is rolled together, and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.

¹¹ And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat thereon, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
