⁵ Jesus seeing their faith, said to the paralytic, Son, thy sins are forgiven thee.

² And behold they brought to him a paralytic, lying on a couch; and Jesus seeing their faith, said to the paralytic, Son, Take courage: thy sins are forgiven thee.

²² And Jesus turning and seeing her, said, Daughter, take courage; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour.)

⁹ Which is easier? To say to the paralytic, Thy sins are forgiven thee? ¹⁰ Or to say, Arise, and take up thy couch and walk? But that ye may know, that the Son of man hath authority on earth to forgive sins: (He saith to the paralytic) I say to thee,

³⁴ And he said to her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole: go in peace, and continue whole of thy plague.

²⁰ And seeing their faith, he said to him, Man, thy sins are forgiven thee.

⁴⁷ Wherefore I say to thee, Those many sins of her's are forgiven; therefore she loved much: but he to whom little is forgiven, loveth little. ⁴⁸ And he said to her, Thy sins are forgiven. And they that sat at table with him said within themselves, ⁴⁹ Who is this that forgiveth sins also? ⁵⁰ And he said to the woman, Thy faith hath saved thee: go in peace.

⁴⁸ And he said to her, Daughter, take courage: thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace.

²⁵ because he knew all men, And needed not that any should testify of man; for he knew what was in man.

¹⁴ Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said to him, Lo, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come to thee.

³¹ Him hath God exalted, a Prince and a Saviour with his right-hand, to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.

²³ Who coming and seeing the grace of God, was glad, and exhorted them all, to cleave unto the Lord with full purpose of heart.

⁹ This man heard Paul speaking; who fixing his eyes upon him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed,

³⁰ For this cause many are sick and weak among you, and many sleep.

¹⁰ To whom ye forgive any thing, I forgive also: and if I forgive any thing, to whom I forgive it, it is for your sakes, in the person of Christ.

⁸ For by grace ye are saved through faith; and this not of yourselves:

¹³ Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any have a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.

³ Remembring without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of our God and Father: ⁴ ) Knowing, beloved brethren, your election of God.

¹⁸ But one will say, Thou hast faith, and I have works. Shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. ¹⁹ Thou believest there is one God: thou dost well: the devils also believe and tremble. ²⁰ But art thou willing to know, O empty man, that faith without works is dead? ²¹ Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered up Isaac his son upon the altar? ²² Thou seest that faith wrought together with his works, and by works was faith made perfect.

¹⁵ And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up, and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.
