⁵ Jesus answered, Verily, verily I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

⁹ To another faith by the same Spirit; ¹⁰ to another the gift of healing by the same Spirit; To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another the discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues.

²⁸ And God hath set in the church, first, apostles, secondly, prophets, thirdly, teachers: afterward miracles, then gifts of healing, helps, governments, different kinds of tongues.

³⁰ Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret? But covet earnestly the best gifts.

For ye will speak to the air. ¹⁰ Let there be ever so many kinds of languages in the world, and none of them without signification: ¹¹ Yet if I know not the meaning of the language, I shall be a barbarian to him that speaketh, and he that speaketh will be a barbarian to me. ¹² So ye also, seeing ye desire spiritual gifts, seek to abound in them, to the edifying of the church. ¹³ Therefore let him that speaketh in an unknown tongue, pray that he may interpret. ¹⁴ For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my Spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful. ¹⁵ What then is my duty? ²⁴ Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father, when he shall have abolished all rule and all authority and power. ²⁵ For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.

² On the first day of the week, let every one of you lay by him in store according as he hath been prospered, that there may be no collections when I come.

⁷ So that on the contrary ye should rather forgive and comfort him, lest such an one should be swallowed up with overmuch sorrow.

¹ We then, as fellow-labourers, do also exhort you, not to receive the grace of God in vain.

²⁰ Which he wrought in Christ, raising him from the dead; and he hath made him sit at his own right-hand in heavenly places, ²¹ Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come. ²² And he hath put all things under his feet, and hath given him to be head over all things to the church,

¹⁷ And he came and preached peace to you that were afar off, and to them that were nigh.

⁸ Wherefore he saith, Having ascended on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts to men. ⁹ (Now that he ascended, what is it, but that he also descended first to the lower parts of the earth? ¹⁰ He that descended is the same that ascended also, far above all the heavens, that he might fill all things.) ¹¹ And he gave some apostles, and some prophets, and some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers;

⁸ In flaming fire, taking vengeance on them who know not God, and who obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

¹² That they all may be condemned, who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

¹⁶ The mystery of godliness is the pillar and ground of the truth, and without controversy a great thing: God was manifested in the flesh, was justified by the spirit, seen by angels, preached among the Gentiles, believed on in the world, taken up into glory.

³ Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and sustaining all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the majesty on high,

⁴ God also bearing them witness by signs, and wonders, and various miracles, and distributions of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will.

⁷ Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith) To day, ⁸ if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness,

¹⁵ we hold fast the beginning of our confidence firm to the end) While it is said; To-day, if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation. ¹⁶ For who, when they had heard, provoked God?

¹² But he having offered one sacrifice for sins, ¹³ for ever sat down at the right hand of God, From thenceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool.

¹⁹ Having therefore, brethren, free liberty to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, ²⁰ By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us through the veil, ²¹ that is, his flesh, And having an high-priest over the house of God; ²² Let us draw near with a true heart, in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.

³⁸ Now the just shall live by faith; but if he draw back, my soul hath no pleasure in him. ³⁹ But we are not of them who draw back to perdition, but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.

² who for the joy that was set before him, endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right-hand of the throne of God.

¹⁴ Is any among you sick? let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, having anointed him with oil in the name of the Lord: ¹⁵ And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up, and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.

²¹ Who thro' him believe in God, that raised him from the dead, and gave him glory, that your faith and hope, might be in God.

²¹ The antitype whereof, baptism, now saveth us, (not the putting away the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ, ²² Who being gone into heaven, is on the right-hand of God, angels, and authorities, and powers being subjected to him.

¹⁴ And we have seen and testify, that the Father sent his Son to be the Saviour of the world.

¹⁰ He that believeth on the Son of God, hath the testimony in himself. He that believeth not God, hath made him a liar, because he believeth not the testimony which he hath testified of his Son. ¹¹ And this is the testimony, that God hath given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. ¹² He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. ¹³ These things have I written to you that believe on the name of the Son of God, that ye may know ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the Son of God.

¹⁰ I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day,

¹⁷ And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead: and he laid his right-hand upon me, saying, Fear not, I am the First and the Last, ¹⁸ And he that liveth and was dead, and behold I am alive for evermore, and have the keys of death and of Hades.

¹⁹ Whomsoever I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous and repent. ²⁰ Behold, I stand at the door and knock: if any man hear my voice and open the door, I will come in to him, and sup with him, and he with me. ²¹ He that overcometh, I will give him to sit with me on my throne, as I also overcame, and sat down with my Father on his throne.

⁶ And I saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven, having an everlasting gospel to preach to them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation,

¹⁵ And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

⁸ But the fearful, and unbelieving, and abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, their part is in the lake that burneth with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.
