²¹ So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.

¹⁹ Lay not up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break thro' and steal: ²⁰ But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth consume, and where thieves do not break thro' nor steal.

²⁴ But wo to you that are rich; for ye have your consolation.

³³ Sell what ye have and give alms: provide yourselves purses which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupteth.

¹¹ If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will intrust you with the true riches?

⁵ But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up to thyself wrath in the day of wrath, and revelation, and righteous judgment of God?

¹⁰ As sorrowing, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, yet possessing all things.

¹⁸ To do good, to be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate, ¹⁹ Treasuring up for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.

⁵ Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world, rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom, which he hath promised to them that love him?

¹ Go to now, ye rich, weep and howl for your miseries that are coming upon you. ² Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are moth-eaten. ³ Your gold and silver is cankered, and the canker of them shall be a testimony against you, and shall eat your flesh as fire: ye have laid up treasure in the last days.

⁹ I know thy affliction and poverty, (but thou art rich) and the reviling of those who say they are Jews and are not, but a synagogue of Satan.
