²⁴ And behold there arose a great tempest in the sea, so that the vessel was covered with the waves. ²⁵ But he was asleep. And his disciples coming to him awoke him, saying, Lord, save us; we perish.

²⁹ Immediately after the tribulation of those days, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light; and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken.

²⁵ Thrice I was beaten with rods, once I was stoned, thrice I have been shipwrecked, a day and a night I passed in the deep: In journeyings often,

¹² being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise; having no hope, and without God in the world.

¹³ Now we would not have you ignorant, brethren, concerning them that are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others who have no hope.
