¹⁶ Forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles, that they may be saved, to fill up their sins always: but wrath is come upon them to the uttermost.

⁷ But seeing many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to his baptism, he said to them, Ye serpents, ye brood of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come? ⁸ Bring forth therefore fruit worthy of repentance: ⁹ And say not within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father; for I say to you, God is able of these stones to raise up children to Abraham. ¹⁰ But even the axe already lieth at the root of the trees; therefore every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit, is hewn down and cast into the fire.

¹² Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and gather the wheat into the garner, but will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.

⁴⁵ Then goeth he and taketh with him seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there, and the last state of that man is worse than the first. So shall it be also to this wicked generation.

⁴¹ They say to him, He will miserably destroy those wicked men, and will let out the vineyard to other husbandmen who will render him the fruits in their seasons. ⁴² Jesus saith to them, Have ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, is become the head of the corner? This is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes. ⁴³ Therefore I say to you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof. ⁴⁴ And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.

⁶ And the rest laying hold on his servants, treated them shamefully and slew them. ⁷ And the king hearing it was wroth, and sending forth his troops, destroyed those murderers and burnt their city.

³² Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers. Ye serpents, ye brood of vipers,

⁶ And ye will hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled; for all these things must come to pass: but the end is not yet.

¹⁴ And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached to all the world, for a testimony to all nations: and then shall the end come.

²¹ For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not from the beginning of the world to this time, nor ever shall be. ²² And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect's sake, those days shall be shortened.

¹⁶ He that believeth and is baptized, shall be saved; but he that believeth not, shall be damned.

⁹ But when some were hardened, and would not believe, but spake reproachfully of the way before the multitude, he departed from them, and separated the disciples, discoursing daily in the school of one Tyrannus.

²⁷ And when the seven days were about to be accomplished, the Jews that were from Asia seeing him in the temple, ²⁸ stirred up all the people, and laid hands on him, Crying out, Men of Israel, help! This is the man, that teacheth all men every where against the people, and the law, and this place: yea, and hath even brought Greeks into the temple, and polluted this holy place. ²⁹ For they had before seen Trophimus the Ephesian with him in the city, whom they supposed Paul had brought into the temple. ³⁰ And the whole city was moved, and the people ran together; and laying hold on Paul, they dragged him out of the temple: and immediately the gates were shut. ³¹ And as they went about to kill him, word came to the tribune of the cohort, that all Jerusalem was in an uproar:

¹³ For whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord, shall be saved. ¹⁴ But how shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in him, of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? ¹⁵ But how shall they preach, unless they be sent? As it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them who bring the good tidings of peace, who bring the glad tidings of good things!

⁸ But that which beareth thorns and briars is rejected and nigh unto a curse, whose end is to be burned.

⁵⁰ So that the blood of all the prophets shed from the foundation of the world, shall be required of this generation. ⁵¹ From the blood of Abel to the blood of Zechariah, who was destroyed between the temple and the altar: verily I say to you, it shall be required of this generation.

⁴² saying, O that thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day the things that are for thy peace. But now they are hid from thine eyes. ⁴³ For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and press thee on every side, ⁴⁴ And shall dash thee against the ground, and thy children, that are in thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another: because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.

²⁰ And when ye see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh. ²¹ Then let them that are in Judea flee to the mountains, and let them that are in the midst of it, depart out, and let not them that are in the countries, enter thereinto. ²² For these are the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled. ²³ But wo to them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days; for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath on this people. ²⁴ And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden by the Gentiles, till the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.

¹² And there is salvation in no other; for there is no other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

² And when Peter was come up to Jerusalem, they of the circumcision debated with him, saying, Thou wentest in to men uncircumcised, ³ and didst eat with them.

¹⁷ If then God gave to them the same gift as even to us, having believed on the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I that could withstand God? ¹⁸ When they heard these things, they were quiet, and glorified God, saying, Then God hath given to the Gentiles also repentance unto life.

⁴⁵ But the Jews seeing the multitudes, were filled with zeal, and spake against the things spoken by Paul, contradicting and blaspheming.

⁵⁰ But the Jews stirred up the devout, honourable women, and the chief men of the city, and raised a persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and expelled them out of their coasts.

² But the unbelieving Jews stirred up the Gentiles, and made their minds evil-affected against the brethren.

⁵ And when there was an assault both of the Gentiles and Jews with their rulers, to use them despitefully, and to stone them, Being aware of it,

¹⁹ But there came thither Jews from Antioch and Iconium, who persuaded the multitude, and having stoned Paul, dragged him out of the city, supposing he had been dead.

⁵ But the Jews who believed not, filled with zeal, taking to them some of the mean and profligate fellows, and making a mob, set all the city in an uproar; and assaulting the house of Jason, sought to bring them out to the people. ⁶ But not finding them, they dragged Jason and certain brethren to the rulers of the city, crying aloud, These men, that have turned the world upside down, are come hither also:

¹³ But when the Jews of Thessalonica knew that the word of God was preached by Paul at Berea also, they came thither likewise, and stirred up the multitude.

¹² But when Gallio was proconsul of Achaia, the Jews made an assault with one consent upon Paul, and brought him to the judgment-seat, Saying, ¹³ This fellow persuadeth men to worship God contrary to the law.

²¹ But he said to me, Depart: for I will send thee far off to the Gentiles. ²² And they heard him to this word, and then lifted up their voice and said, Away with such a fellow from the earth; for it is not fit that he should live.

¹¹ But if I, brethren, preach circumcision, why do I yet suffer persecution?

⁸ Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints is this grace given, to preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ.

¹³ Wherefore I intreat you not to faint at my afflictions for you, which is your glory.

¹⁰ to serve the living and true God, And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he hath raised from the dead, even Jesus, who delivereth us from the wrath to come.

¹⁰ And with all deceiveableness of unrighteousness in them that perish, because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

⁴ Who willeth all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

²⁷ But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which will devour the adversaries. ²⁸ He that despised the law of Moses died without mercy, under two or three witnesses. ²⁹ Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and counted the blood of the covenant, by which he hath been sanctified, an unholy thing, and done despite to the spirit of grace? ³⁰ For we know him that hath said, Vengeance is mine; I will recompence: and again, The Lord will judge his people.

¹ Go to now, ye rich, weep and howl for your miseries that are coming upon you. ² Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are moth-eaten. ³ Your gold and silver is cankered, and the canker of them shall be a testimony against you, and shall eat your flesh as fire: ye have laid up treasure in the last days. ⁴ Behold the hire of your labourers who have reaped your fields, which is kept back by you, crieth: and the cries of them who have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of sabbaoth. ⁵ Ye have lived delicately on earth, and been wanton; ye have cherished your hearts, as in a day of sacrifice. ⁶ Ye have condemned, ye have killed the just: he doth not resist you.

¹¹ He that is unrighteous, let him be unrighteous still; and he that is filthy let him be filthy still; and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still, and he that is holy, let him be holy still.
