²⁹ Let two or three of the prophets speak, and let the rest judge. But if any thing be revealed to another that sitteth by,

¹⁰ to another the gift of healing by the same Spirit; To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another the discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues.

³⁹ Therefore, brethren, covet to prophesy; yet forbid not to speak with tongues.

¹⁹ Quench not the Spirit. ²⁰ Despise not prophesyings. ²¹ Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.

¹ Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits, whether they are of God, because many false prophets are gone out into the world. ² Hereby ye know the spirit of God: every spirit which confesseth Jesus Christ come in the flesh, is of God. ³ And every spirit which confesseth not Jesus Christ come in the flesh, is not of God: and this is that spirit of Antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and now already it is in the world.
