⁶ Hear; for I will speak of excellent things; and the opening of my lips shall be right things.

²⁸ And it came to pass when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine. ²⁹ For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.

³⁵ That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world.

⁶ However, we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to naught: ⁷ But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the world to our glory:
