¹⁶ But they mocked the messengers of God, and despised his words, and misused his prophets, until the wrath of the LORD arose against his people, till there was no remedy.

⁶ And the remnant took his servants, and treated them spitefully, and slew them. ⁷ But when the king heard of it, he was wroth: and he sent his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city.

³¹ Wherefore ye are witnesses to yourselves, that ye are the children of them who killed the prophets. ³² Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers. ³³ Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?
