⁵ When Jesus then lifted up his eyes, and saw a great company come to him, he saith to Philip, Whence shall we buy bread that these may eat?

¹⁴ And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion towards them, and he healed their sick. ¹⁵ And when it was evening, his disciples came to him, saying, This is a desert place, and the time is now past; send the multitude away, that they may go into the villages, and buy themselves victuals.

³³ And his disciples say to him, Whence should we have so much bread in the wilderness, as to satisfy so great a multitude?

³⁴ And Jesus, when he came out, saw many people, and was moved with compassion towards them, because they were as sheep not having a shepherd: and he began to teach them many things. ³⁵ And when the day was now far spent, his disciples came to him, and said, This is a desert place, and now the time is far passed:

² I have compassion on the multitude, because they have now been with me three days, and have nothing to eat: ³ And if I send them away fasting to their own houses, they will faint by the way: for some of them came from a distance. ⁴ And his disciples answered him, From whence can a man satisfy these men with bread here in the wilderness?

¹² And when the day began to decline, then came the twelve, and said to him, Send the multitude away, that they may go into the towns and country around, and lodge, and get victuals: for we are here in a desert place. ¹³ But he said to them, Give ye them to eat. And they said, We have no more than five loaves and two fishes; except we should go and buy provisions for all this people.

⁴³ The day following Jesus would go forth into Galilee, and findeth Philip, and saith to him, follow me.

³⁵ Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say to you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.
