² And now will I show thee the truth. Behold, there shall stand up yet three kings in Persia; and the fourth shall be far richer than they all: and by his strength through his riches he shall stir up all against the realm of Grecia.

⁵ And hired counselors against them, to frustrate their purpose, all the days of Cyrus king of Persia, even until the reign of Darius king of Persia. ⁶ And in the reign of Ahasuerus, in the beginning of his reign, they wrote to him an accusation against the inhabitants of Judah and Jerusalem.

⁶ Therefore pride encompasseth them as a chain; violence covereth them as a garment. ⁷ Their eyes stand out with fatness: they have more than heart could wish.

And when he had said this, he went out again to the Jews, and saith to them, I find in him no fault.
