⁴⁷ praising God and having favor with all the people. And day by day the Lord added to the Church those who were being saved.

⁵² And Jesus kept increasing in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.

²¹ So threatening them some more they released them, not finding any way to punish them, because of the people, since they were all glorifying God over what had happened;

³³ (Also the Apostles were giving witness to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus with great power.) Yes, great grace was on them all,

¹³ None of the rest dared to join them, but the people were magnifying them. ¹⁴ Believers were increasingly added to the Lord, multitudes of both men and women,

²⁴ (for he was a good man, full of Holy Spirit and of faith). And a considerable crowd was added to the Lord.

⁴⁸ Now upon hearing this, the Gentiles rejoiced and glorified the word of the Lord; and as many as had been appointed to eternal live believed.

⁵ So the congregations kept on being strengthened in the faith, and were increasing in number daily.

³⁰ Further, whom He predestined, these He also called; and whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.

²⁷ And Isaiah cries out concerning Israel: “Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, only the remnant will be saved;

⁵ Even so then at this present time, there is a remnant according to an election by grace. ⁶ Now if by grace, it is no longer from works; otherwise the grace is no longer grace. But if from works, it is no longer grace; otherwise the work is no longer work. ⁷ What then? What Israel is seeking, this it did not obtain; but the election did obtain it, while the rest were dulled.

¹⁸ For whoever serves the Christ in these things is satisfying to God and approved by men.

¹⁸ The message of the cross, you see, is foolishness to those who are being wasted, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

⁴ But when the kindness of our Savior God and His love toward mankind manifested itself, ⁵ He saved us—not because of righteous deeds that we ourselves had done but according to His mercy, by means of the bath of regeneration and renewal by the Holy Spirit,
