³² “Yes we proclaim to you the good news: the promise that was made to the fathers, ³³ God has fulfilled the same to us, their children, when He raised up Jesus; as also it stands written in the second Psalm: ‘You are my Son, today I have begotten you’. ³⁴ And that He raised Him from the dead, no longer to return to corruption, He has spoken thus, ‘I will give you the holy things guaranteed to David’. ³⁵ Further, it is stated elsewhere, ‘You will not allow your Holy One to see decay’. ³⁶ Now David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God, fell asleep, was buried with his fathers, and saw decay;
