⁹ “However, I myself thought that I had to perpetrate many things in opposition to the name of Jesus the Natsorean;

²¹ Now they will do all of these things to you because of my name, in that they do not know the One who sent me.

² —they will excommunicate you; indeed, a time is coming when anyone who kills you will think he is offering God service! ³ And they will do these things because they haven’t known either the Father or me.

⁶ But Peter said: “I don’t have silver and gold, but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ the Natsorean, get up and walk!”

¹⁶ for I will show him how many things he must suffer for my name’s sake.”

¹³ But Paul answered: “What are you doing, weeping and breaking my heart? I am ready not only to be bound, but also to die in Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.”

⁸ So I answered, ‘Who are you, Lord?’ He said to me, ‘I am Jesus the Natsorean, whom you are persecuting.’

⁵ We have found this man to be a plague, a creator of discord among all the Jews throughout the world, a ringleader of the Natsorean sect,

² For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to full knowledge.

¹³ You have heard of my former conduct while in Judaism, how I was rabid in my persecution of God’s Church and tried to annihilate it; ¹⁴ indeed I was advancing in Judaism beyond many Jews of my own age, being far more zealous for the traditions of my forefathers.

⁶ with respect to zeal, persecuting the Church; with respect to the righteousness that is in the law, blameless.

¹³ I, who was formerly a blasphemer and a persecutor and arrogant; but I was shown mercy, because being ignorant I did it in unbelief;
