⁵ not that we are competent of ourselves to reckon anything as being from ourselves, but our competence is from God —

¹⁹ But whenever they hand you over, do not worry about how or what you will speak, for it will be given to you in that hour what you should speak; ²⁰ for it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you.

¹⁵ because I will give you a mouth and wisdom such that all your adversaries will not be able to contradict or withstand.

⁴⁹ Take note, I am sending the Promise of my Father upon you; but you must stay in the city of Jerusalem until you are clothed with power from on high.”

⁵ “I am the vine, and you are the branches. The one who abides in me and I in him, he is the one who produces much fruit, because apart from me you are incapable of doing anything.

⁶ I planted, Apollos watered, but God keeps making it grow.

¹⁰ According to the grace of God that was given to me, as a wise master builder I have laid a foundation, while another builds on it. But let each one be careful how he builds;

¹⁰ But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me has not been in vain; in fact, I have worked harder than all of them—well, not I, but the grace of God that was with me.

¹⁶ to these a smell of death into death, while to those a fragrance of life into life—and who is adequate for such things?

⁷ Further, we have this treasure in jars of clay, so that this all-surpassing power may be of God and not from ourselves

⁹ But He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more cheerfully about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may take up residence upon me.

¹³ because God Himself is the One at work in you, both to will and to produce, for His good pleasure.

¹³ I can handle anything through Christ who strengthens me.

¹⁷ every good giving and every perfect gift is from Above, coming down from the Father of the lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.
