¹⁹ and He told all the people to sit down on the grass. Then He took the five loaves and the two fish, and after looking up to heaven and blessing them, He broke up the loaves and gave them to the disciples, and the disciples distributed them to the people.

³⁵ So He bade all the people sit down on the ground, ³⁶ and He took the seven loaves and the fish, and after giving thanks He broke them up and then distributed them to the disciples, and they to the people.

²⁶ During the meal Jesus took a Passover biscuit, blessed it and broke it. He then gave it to the disciples, saying, "Take this and eat it: it is my body." ²⁷ And He took the cup and gave thanks, and gave it to them saying, "Drink from it, all of you;

³⁹ So He directed them to make all sit down in companies on the green grass.

⁴¹ Then He took the five loaves and the two fish, and lifting His eyes to Heaven He blessed the food. Then He broke the loaves into portions which He went on handing to the disciples to distribute; giving pieces also of the two fish to them all.

³⁴ and looking up to Heaven He sighed, and said to him, "Ephphatha!" (that is, "Open!")

⁶ So He passed the word to the people to sit down on the ground. Then taking the seven loaves He blessed them, and broke them into portions and proceeded to give them to His disciples for them to distribute, and they distributed them to the people. ⁷ They had also a few small fish. He blessed them, and He told His disciples to distribute these also.

²² Also during the meal He took a Passover biscuit, blessed it, and broke it. He then gave it to them, saying, "Take this, it is my body." ²³ Then He took the cup, gave thanks, and handed it to them, and they all of them drank from it.

¹⁴ (For there were about 5,000 adult men.) But He said to His disciples, "Make them sit down in parties of about fifty each."

¹⁰ "Make the people sit down," said Jesus. The ground was covered with thick grass; so they sat down, the adult men numbering about 5,000. ¹¹ Then Jesus took the loaves, and after giving thanks He distributed them to those who were resting on the ground; and also the fish in like manner--as much as they desired.

²³ Yet a number of small boats came from Tiberias to the neighbourhood of the place where they had eaten the bread after the Lord had given thanks.

⁴¹ So they removed the stone. Then Jesus lifted up His eyes and said, "Father, I thank Thee that Thou hast heard me.

³⁵ Having said this he took some bread, and, after giving thanks to God for it before them all, he broke it in pieces and began to eat it.

⁶ He who regards the day as sacred, so regards it for the Master's sake; and he who eats certain food eats it for the Master's sake, for he gives thanks to God; and he who refrains from eating it refrains for the Master's sake, and he also gives thanks to God.

¹⁶ The cup of blessing, which we bless, does it not mean a joint-participation in the blood of Christ? The loaf of bread which we break, does it not mean a joint-participation in the body of Christ?

³¹ Whether, then, you are eating or drinking, or whatever you are doing, let everything be done to the glory of God.

²⁴ and after giving thanks He broke it and said, "This is my body which is about to be broken for you. Do this in memory of me."

¹⁷ And whatever you do, in word or in deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, and let it be through Him that you give thanks to God the Father.

⁴ For everything that God has created is good, and nothing is to be cast aside, if only it is received with thanksgiving. ⁵ For it is made holy by the word of God and by prayer.
