¹³ One day people were bringing young children to Jesus for Him to touch them, but the disciples interfered.

¹³ Then young children were brought to Him for Him to put His hands on them and pray; but the disciples interfered. ¹⁴ Jesus however said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them; for it is to those who are childlike that the Kingdom of the Heavens belongs." ¹⁵ So He laid His hands upon them and went away.

³⁸ "Rabbi," said John to Him, "we saw a man making use of your name to expel demons, and we tried to hinder him, on the ground that he did not follow us."

⁴⁸ Many angrily told him to leave off shouting; but he only cried out all the louder, "Son of David, have pity on me."

¹⁵ On one occasion people also brought with them their infants, for Him to touch them; but the disciples, noticing this, proceeded to find fault with them. ¹⁶ Jesus however called the infants to Him.
