²⁰ Yahweh has rewarded me according to my righteousness. According to the cleanness of my hands, he has recompensed me.

¹¹ Moreover, my father, behold, yes, see the skirt of your robe in my hand; for in that I cut off the skirt of your robe, and didn’t kill you, know and see that there is neither evil nor disobedience in my hand, and I have not sinned against you, though you hunt for my life to take it. ¹² May Yahweh judge between me and you, and may Yahweh avenge me of you; but my hand will not be on you. ¹³ As the proverb of the ancients says, ‘Out of the wicked comes wickedness;’ but my hand will not be on you.

¹⁷ He said to David, “You are more righteous than I; for you have done good to me, whereas I have done evil to you.

¹⁹ For if a man finds his enemy, will he let him go away unharmed? Therefore may Yahweh reward you good for that which you have done to me today. ²⁰ Now, behold, I know that you will surely be king, and that the kingdom of Israel will be established in your hand.

³⁰ He will even deliver him who is not innocent. Yes, he will be delivered through the cleanness of your hands.”

³ Yahweh, my God, if I have done this, if there is iniquity in my hands,

⁸ Yahweh administers judgment to the peoples. Judge me, Yahweh, according to my righteousness, and to my integrity that is in me.

²⁴ Therefore Yahweh has rewarded me according to my righteousness, according to the cleanness of my hands in his eyesight.

⁴ He who has clean hands and a pure heart; who has not lifted up his soul to falsehood, and has not sworn deceitfully.

⁶ I will wash my hands in innocence, so I will go about your altar, Yahweh,

¹¹ so that men shall say, “Most certainly there is a reward for the righteous. Most certainly there is a God who judges the earth.”

¹⁸ Wicked people earn deceitful wages, but one who sows righteousness reaps a sure reward.

⁴ But I said, “I have labored in vain. I have spent my strength in vain for nothing; yet surely the justice due to me is with Yahweh, and my reward with my God.”

¹¹ Behold, Yahweh has proclaimed to the end of the earth, “Say to the daughter of Zion, ‘Behold, your salvation comes! Behold, his reward is with him, and his recompense before him!’”

⁴ so that your merciful deeds may be in secret, then your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.

⁸ Now he who plants and he who waters are the same, but each will receive his own reward according to his own labor.

²⁶ For such a high priest was fitting for us: holy, guiltless, undefiled, separated from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;
