³ My words will utter the uprightness of my heart. That which my lips know they will speak sincerely.

²⁸ Now therefore be pleased to look at me, for surely I will not lie to your face.

² “Should a wise man answer with vain knowledge, and fill himself with the east wind?

⁴ surely my lips will not speak unrighteousness, neither will my tongue utter deceit.

³ I will get my knowledge from afar, and will ascribe righteousness to my Maker. ⁴ For truly my words are not false. One who is perfect in knowledge is with you.

² “Who is this who darkens counsel by words without knowledge?

³⁰ The mouth of the righteous talks of wisdom. His tongue speaks justice. ³¹ The law of his God is in his heart. None of his steps shall slide.

⁷ For my mouth speaks truth. Wickedness is an abomination to my lips. ⁸ All the words of my mouth are in righteousness. There is nothing crooked or perverse in them.

² The tongue of the wise commends knowledge, but the mouth of fools gush out folly.

⁷ The lips of the wise spread knowledge; not so with the heart of fools.

¹⁵ There is gold and abundance of rubies, but the lips of knowledge are a rare jewel.

³ For our exhortation is not of error, nor of uncleanness, nor in deception. ⁴ But even as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the Good News, so we speak: not as pleasing men, but God, who tests our hearts.
