²⁹ When God destroyed the cities of the plain, God remembered Abraham, and sent Lot out of the middle of the overthrow, when he overthrew the cities in which Lot lived.

¹ God remembered Noah, all the animals, and all the livestock that were with him in the ship; and God made a wind to pass over the earth. The waters subsided.

² I will make of you a great nation. I will bless you and make your name great. You will be a blessing.

Shouldn’t the Judge of all the earth do right?” ²⁶ Yahweh said, “If I find in Sodom fifty righteous within the city, then I will spare the whole place for their sake.” ²⁷ Abraham answered, “See now, I have taken it on myself to speak to the Lord, although I am dust and ashes. ²⁸ What if there will lack five of the fifty righteous? Will you destroy all the city for lack of five?” He said, “I will not destroy it if I find forty-five there.” ²⁹ He spoke to him yet again, and said, “What if there are forty found there?” He said, “I will not do it for the forty’s sake.” ³⁰ He said, “Oh don’t let the Lord be angry, and I will speak. What if there are thirty found there?” He said, “I will not do it if I find thirty there.” ³¹ He said, “See now, I have taken it on myself to speak to the Lord. What if there are twenty found there?” He said, “I will not destroy it for the twenty’s sake.” ³² He said, “Oh don’t let the Lord be angry, and I will speak just once more. What if ten are found there?” He said, “I will not destroy it for the ten’s sake.” ³³ Yahweh went his way, as soon as he had finished communing with Abraham, and Abraham returned to his place.

²² God remembered Rachel, and God listened to her, and opened her womb.

⁵ Not for your righteousness or for the uprightness of your heart do you go in to possess their land; but for the wickedness of these nations Yahweh your God does drive them out from before you, and that he may establish the word which Yahweh swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.

¹⁴ Remember me, my God, concerning this, and don’t wipe out my good deeds that I have done for the house of my God, and for its observances.

²² I commanded the Levites that they should purify themselves, and that they should come and keep the gates, to sanctify the Sabbath day. Remember me for this also, my God, and spare me according to the greatness of your loving kindness.

⁷ Don’t remember the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions. Remember me according to your loving kindness, for your goodness’ sake, Yahweh.

⁸ He has remembered his covenant forever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations,

⁴² For he remembered his holy word, and Abraham, his servant.

⁴ Remember me, Yahweh, with the favor that you show to your people. Visit me with your salvation,

²³ who remembered us in our low estate; for his loving kindness endures forever;

²⁰ Yahweh preserves all those who love him, but he will destroy all the wicked.

³¹ “‘“Then you will remember your evil ways, and your deeds that were not good; and you will loathe yourselves in your own sight for your iniquities and for your abominations. ³² I don’t do this for your sake,” says the Lord Yahweh. “Let it be known to you: be ashamed and confounded for your ways, house of Israel.”
