¹ After this I heard a sound like the roar of a great multitude in heaven, shouting: “Hallelujah! Salvation and glory and power belong to our God! ² for true and just are his judgments. He has judged the great prostitute who was corrupting the earth with her lewdness and he has avenged on her the blood of his servants." ³ And again they shouted, "Hallelujah! The smoke from her goes up for ever and ever." ⁴ The twenty-four elders and the four living creatures bowed down and worshiped God, who was sitting on the throne. They said, "Amen! Hallelujah!" ⁵ And a voice came from the throne, saying, "Praise our God, all you his servants, you who fear him, both small and great." ⁶ Then I heard what sounded like the voice of a great multitude, like the sound of many waters and like the sound of mighty peals of thunder, crying, "Hallelujah! For the Lord our God the Almighty reigns. ⁷ Let us rejoice and be glad and give him the glory! For the marriage of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready. ⁸ She was given clothing of fine linen, linen bright and pure.” For the fine linen she wears is the righteous acts of the saints. ⁹ Then the angel said to me, "Write, 'Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.'" And he said to me, "These are true words of God." ¹⁰ And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said to me, Do not do that: I am a fellow servant with you and your brethren, who hold to the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. ¹¹ Then I saw heaven standing open, and there before me was a white horse. And its rider is called Faithful and True. With righteousness He judges and wages war. ¹² His eyes are a flame of fire, and on his head are many crowns. He had a name written which no one knows but he himself. ¹³ He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and His name is The Word of God. ¹⁴ The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses, and dressed in fine linen, white and clean. ¹⁵ And from His mouth proceeds a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations, and He will rule them with an iron scepter. He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God, the Almighty. ¹⁶ and on his robe and on his thigh he has this name written-- 'KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.' ¹⁷ Then I saw an angel standing in the sun, and he cried out in a loud voice to all the birds flying overhead, “Come, gather together for the great supper of God, ¹⁸ so that you may eat the flesh of kings and commanders and mighty men, of horses and riders, of all men slave and free, small and great.” ¹⁹ Then I saw the beast, the kings of the earth, and their armies gathered to wage war against the rider on the horse and his army. ²⁰ But the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who had performed signs on his behalf, by which he deceived those who had the mark of the beast and worshiped its image. Both of them were thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur. ²¹ The rest were killed with the sword that came out of the mouth of him who sat on the horse, and all the birds gorged themselves upon their bodies.

¹¹ Yours, O Lord, is the strength and the power and the glory, and the authority and the honour: for everything in heaven and on earth is yours; yours is the kingdom, O Lord, and you are lifted up as head over all.

⁸ To the LORD belongs deliverance; may your blessing be over your people. Selah

¹ Praise the LORD! Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good, for His grace endures forever.

¹ Praise the LORD! I will thank the LORD with all my heart; in the council of the upright, and of the assembly.

¹⁸ but we will bless the LORD, from now on and forever. Praise the LORD!

¹ Praise the LORD. Praise the LORD, O my soul.

¹ Praise the LORD! Praise the LORD from the heavens. Praise him in the heights above.

¹ Praise the LORD! Sing to the LORD a new song, his praise in the assembly of the saints.

¹ Praise the LORD! Praise God in his holy place. Praise him in his mighty heavens.

⁹ But as for me, with a voice of thanksgiving I will sacrifice to you; what I have vowed I will pay. Deliverance is the LORD's!"

¹³ And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.’

¹⁶ But for this very reason I was shown mercy, so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display His perfect patience, as an example to those who would believe in Him for eternal life. ¹⁷ Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen.

¹⁰ the twenty-four elders fall down before him who sits on the throne and worship him who lives for ever and ever; they cast their crowns before the throne, saying, ¹¹ You are worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for you have created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being.

⁹ They sang a new song: "You are worthy to take the scroll and open its seals, because you were slaughtered. With your blood you purchased people for God from every tribe, language, people, and nation. ¹⁰ You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to our God, and they will reign on the earth." ¹¹ And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels about the throne, and about the beasts and the elders, and I heard thousand thousands, ¹² In a loud voice they said: “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive power and riches and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and blessing!” ¹³ And I heard every creature in heaven, and on earth, and under the earth, and in the sea, and all that is in them, saying: “To Him who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb, be praise and honor and glory and power forever and ever.”

¹⁰ They cried out in a loud voice, "Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the lamb!" ¹¹ And all the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures; and they fell on their faces before the throne and worshipped God, ¹² saying, "Amen! Praise and glory, and wisdom and thanksgiving, and honor and power and strength be to our God forever and ever. Amen!"

¹⁵ Then the seventh angel sounded his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, saying, "The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he will reign for ever and ever."

¹⁰ And I heard a great voice in heaven, saying: Now has come the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren, he that accused them before our God day and night, is cast down.

¹ After these things I saw another angel coming down from heaven. He had great authority, and the earth was illuminated by his splendor. ² And he called out with a mighty voice, "Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great! She has become a dwelling place of demons, a haunt of every unclean spirit, a haunt of every unclean and hateful bird. ³ For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her adulteries, and the kings of the earth have committed adultery with her, and the merchants of the earth have grown rich with her excessive luxuries. ⁴ Then I heard another voice from heaven say: “Come out of her, my people, so that you will not share in her sins or contract any of her plagues. ⁵ For her sins are piled up to the sky, and God has remembered her crimes. ⁶ Give back to her as she has done to others; pay her back double for what she has done; mix her a double portion in her own cup. ⁷ give her torment and pain in proportion to her pride and luxury; for she said in her heart, "I am enthron'd like a queen, I am no widow, and shall see no sorrow." ⁸ Therefore in one day her plagues will come, pestilence and mourning and famine, and she will be burned with fire; for mighty is the Lord God who judges her. ⁹ "The kings of the earth who have committed lewdness with her and have reveled luxuriously, when they see the smoke of her burning, will wail and beat their breasts. ¹⁰ for fear of her torture they will stand far off, crying, 'Woe and alas, thou great city! thou strong city of Babylon! In one brief hour thy doom has come.' ¹¹ And the merchants of the earth weep and mourn over her, because no one buys their cargoes any more ¹² cargoes of gold, silver, precious stones and pearls; fine linen, purple, silk and scarlet cloth; every sort of citron wood, and articles of every kind made of ivory, costly wood, bronze, iron and marble; ¹³ cargoes of cinnamon and spice, of incense, myrrh and frankincense, of wine and olive oil, of fine flour and wheat; cattle and sheep; horses and chariots; and slaves and human souls. ¹⁴ The fruit you longed for has gone from you, and all your riches and splendor have vanished, never to be recovered. ¹⁵ The merchants who sold these things and grew their wealth from her will stand at a distance, in fear of her torment. They will weep and mourn, ¹⁶ and say, 'Alas! Alas for the great city that was dressed in fine linen, purple, and scarlet, and glittered with gold, precious stones, and pearls, ¹⁷ In one hour such great wealth has been laid waste!' And every shipmaster and all passengers and sailors, and all who make their living by the sea, stood far off, ¹⁸ and cried, when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying: What other is like this great city! ¹⁹ Then they will throw dust on their heads as they weep and mourn and cry out: “Woe, woe to the great city, where all who had ships on the sea were enriched by her wealth! For in a single hour she has been destroyed.” ²⁰ Rejoice over her, O heaven, and you saints and apostles and prophets; for God has judged her for what she did to you. ²¹ Then a mighty angel picked up a stone the size of a great millstone and cast it into the sea, saying: “With such violence the great city of Babylon will be cast down, never to be seen again. ²² The sound of harpists and musicians, flute-players, and trumpets will never be heard in you again. No craftsman of any kind will ever be found in you again, no sound of the millstone will ever be heard in you again; ²³ The light of a lamp will never more shine in you. The voices of bridegroom and bride will never again be heard in you. Your merchants were the great ones of the earth; for by your magic arts all the nations were led astray. ²⁴ In her was found the blood of prophets and of saints, and of all who have been slain on the earth."

³ And again they shouted, "Hallelujah! The smoke from her goes up for ever and ever." ⁴ The twenty-four elders and the four living creatures bowed down and worshiped God, who was sitting on the throne. They said, "Amen! Hallelujah!"

⁶ Then I heard what sounded like the voice of a great multitude, like the sound of many waters and like the sound of mighty peals of thunder, crying, "Hallelujah! For the Lord our God the Almighty reigns.

⁴ The Rock: his work is perfect, for all his ways are just. A God of faithfulness who does no wrong, just and right is he.

³⁵ Vengeance is mine, I will repay, at the time when their foot slides; for the day of their calamity is near, and the things to come hasten upon them."

⁴³ Rejoice, you nations, with his people, for he will avenge the blood of his servants. He will take vengeance on his adversaries, and will make atonement for his land and for his people.

⁷ You will destroy the house of Ahab your master, and you will avenge the blood of my servants the prophets and the blood of all of the servants of Yahweh, from the hand of Jezebel.

⁹ The fear of the LORD is clean, standing forever. The judgments of the LORD are true; they are altogether righteous.

¹ O LORD, you are my God; I will exalt you, I will praise your name; for you have done wonderful things; your counsels of old are faithfulness and truth.

¹⁰ And they cried out in a loud voice, “How long, O Lord, holy and true, until You judge those who live on the earth and avenge our blood?”

³ and they sang the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, "Great and marvelous are your deeds, O Lord God the Almighty! Just and true are your ways, O King of the ages!

⁵ Then I heard the angel in charge of the water say, "You are just. You are the one who is and who was, the Holy One, because you have judged these things. ⁶ for they shed the blood of your people and prophets, and you have given them blood to drink, as they deserve." ⁷ And I heard the altar saying, "Yes, O Lord God, the Almighty, true and just are your judgments."

¹ Then one of the seven angels with the seven bowls came and told me, “Come, I will show you the punishment of the great prostitute, who sits on many waters. ² With whom the kings of the earth have committed adultery, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her adultery.

¹⁵ He said to me, "The waters which you saw, where the prostitute sits, are peoples, multitudes, nations, and languages. ¹⁶ The ten horns and the beast you saw will hate the prostitute. They will leave her abandoned and naked. They will eat her flesh and burn her up with fire,

³ For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her adulteries, and the kings of the earth have committed adultery with her, and the merchants of the earth have grown rich with her excessive luxuries.

⁹ "The kings of the earth who have committed lewdness with her and have reveled luxuriously, when they see the smoke of her burning, will wail and beat their breasts. ¹⁰ for fear of her torture they will stand far off, crying, 'Woe and alas, thou great city! thou strong city of Babylon! In one brief hour thy doom has come.'

²⁰ Rejoice over her, O heaven, and you saints and apostles and prophets; for God has judged her for what she did to you.

²⁸ He looked toward Sodom and Gomorrah and all the land in the Plain. He saw smoke rising from the land like the thick smoke of a furnace.

¹⁰ It won’t be quenched night or day. Its smoke will go up forever. From generation to generation, it will lie waste. No one will pass through it forever and ever.

⁷ So also, in a similar way, Sodom and Gomorrah, and their surrounding towns, which had abandoned themselves to sexual immorality and [sexually] perverted behavior, serve as an example [of people] who [will] suffer the punishment of never ending fire.

¹¹ The smoke from their torture goes up forever and ever. There is no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and its image or for anyone who receives the mark of its name."

⁹ "The kings of the earth who have committed lewdness with her and have reveled luxuriously, when they see the smoke of her burning, will wail and beat their breasts.

¹⁸ and cried, when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying: What other is like this great city!

¹ After this I heard a sound like the roar of a great multitude in heaven, shouting: “Hallelujah! Salvation and glory and power belong to our God!

³⁶ Blessed be the LORD the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting!" Then all the people said, "Amen!" and praised the LORD.

¹³ Shaking out the folds of my robe, I said: "So, may God send out from his house and his work every man who does not keep this agreement. Even so let him be sent out and made as nothing." All the people said: "Amen!" They praised the LORD. The people did as they said.

⁶ Then Ezra blessed the LORD the great God, and all of the people answered, "Amen! Amen!" while lifting their hands. Then they bowed down and worshiped the LORD with their noses to the ground.

¹³ Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting. Amen and Amen.

¹⁹ Blessed be to his glorious name forever. May the whole earth be filled with his glory. Amen and amen!

⁵² Blessed be the LORD forever. Amen and Amen.

⁴⁸ Thanks be to the LORD the God of Israel from everlasting to everlasting. Let all the people say amen. Praise the LORD!

⁶ even the prophet Jeremiah said, Amen. May the LORD do so. May the LORD confirm your words which you have prophesied, to bring again the vessels of the LORD's house, and all that is exiled from Babylon into this place.

²⁰ and teaching them to obey all that I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

¹⁶ If you thank God with the spirit, how shall he who fills the place of the ordinary man say Amen to your thanksgiving? For he does not know what you are saying.

⁴ Around the throne were twenty-four thrones. On the thrones were twenty-four elders sitting, dressed in white garments, with crowns of gold on their heads. ⁵ Out from the throne came flashes of lightning, rumblings, and peals of thunder. In front of the throne seven blazing lamps were burning; they are the seven spirits of God. ⁶ And before the throne was something like a sea of glass, as clear as crystal. In the center, around the throne, were four living creatures, covered with eyes in front and back. ⁷ The first living creature was like a lion, the second was like an ox, the third had a face like a man's, and the fourth was like an eagle flying. ⁸ And each of the four living creatures had six wings and was covered with eyes all around and within. Day and night they never stop saying: “Holy, Holy, Holy, is the Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come!” ⁹ When the living creatures give glory, honor, and thanks to him who sits on the throne, to him who lives forever and ever, ¹⁰ the twenty-four elders fall down before him who sits on the throne and worship him who lives for ever and ever; they cast their crowns before the throne, saying,

⁸ And when he had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb; each one had a harp, and they had golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints. ⁹ They sang a new song: "You are worthy to take the scroll and open its seals, because you were slaughtered. With your blood you purchased people for God from every tribe, language, people, and nation. ¹⁰ You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to our God, and they will reign on the earth." ¹¹ And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels about the throne, and about the beasts and the elders, and I heard thousand thousands,

¹⁴ The four living creatures said, "Amen," and the elders fell down and worshiped.

¹⁵ Then the seventh angel sounded his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, saying, "The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he will reign for ever and ever." ¹⁶ Then the twenty-four elders who were seated on their thrones before God fell on their faces and worshiped God,

⁷ Then one of the four living creatures gave to the seven angels seven golden bowls full of the wrath of God, who lives for ever and ever.

²³ You who fear the LORD, praise him. All you descendants of Jacob, glorify him. Revere him, all you descendants of Israel.

²⁰ Bless the LORD, you his angels, you mighty heroes who do his word by obeying the sound of his word. ²¹ Bless the LORD, all you his hosts, you his attendants who do his will. ²² Praise the LORD, all you his works in all places of his dominion. Praise the LORD, O my soul.

¹ Behold, praise the LORD, all you servants of the LORD, who stand by night in the house of the LORD.

¹ Praise the LORD. Praise the name of the LORD. Praise him, you servants of the LORD,

¹⁹ O house of Israel, praise the LORD. O house of Aaron, praise the LORD. ²⁰ O house of Levi, praise the LORD. You who fear the LORD, praise the LORD.

¹¹ Ye kings of the earth, and all nations; ye princes, and all judges of the earth; ¹² young men and maidens, old men and children, ¹³ Let them praise the name of the LORD: for his name alone is exalted; his majesty is above the earth and the heavens.

⁶ Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD.

¹⁵ Therefore, they are before the throne of God and serve him day and night in his temple; and he who sits on the throne will spread his tent over them.

¹⁸ The nations were enraged, and Your wrath has come. The time has come to judge the dead, and to reward Your servants, the prophets and saints, and those who fear Your name, both small and great, and to destroy those who destroy the earth.” ¹⁹ Then God's temple in heaven was opened, and within his temple was seen the ark of his covenant; and there were flashes of lightning, voices, peals of thunder, an earthquake and a great hailstorm.

¹⁷ The seventh angel poured out his bowl into the air, and out of the temple came a loud voice from the throne, saying, "It is done!"

¹² And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne. And there were open books, and one of them was the book of life. And the dead were judged according to their deeds, as recorded in the books.

⁹ "Do you have an arm (power) like God's? Can your voice thunder like his?

³ The voice of the LORD is over the waters; the God of glory thunders. the LORD is over many waters. ⁴ The voice of the LORD is powerful; the voice of the LORD is majestic. ⁵ The voice of the LORD breaks the cedars. Yes, the LORD breaks in pieces the cedars of Lebanon. ⁶ He makes them also to skip like a calf; Lebanon and Sirion like a young, wild ox. ⁷ The voice of the LORD strikes with flashes of lightning. ⁸ The voice of the LORD shakes the wilderness; the LORD shakes the wilderness of Kadesh. ⁹ The voice of the LORD maketh the hinds to calve, and strippeth the forests bare; and in His temple all say: 'Glory.'

² (47:3) For the LORD is most high, awful; a great King over all the earth.

⁷ For God is the king of all the earth; sing a psalm for edification.

¹⁸ The voice of Your thunder was in the whirlwind, the lightnings lit up the world, the earth trembled and shook.

¹ The LORD reigns. He is clothed with majesty. The LORD is armed with strength. The world also is established. It can't be moved.

¹ the LORD reigneth: let the earth be glad, let the many isles rejoice.

¹² Be glad in the LORD, you righteous, and give thanks to his holy name.

¹ the LORD reigns! Let the nations tremble. He sits enthroned between the cherubim: let the earth be moved.

⁷ How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who publishes peace, who brings good news, who proclaims salvation, who says to Zion, “Your God reigns!”

⁴⁸ Then the heaven and the earth and all that is in them will shout for joy over Babylon, for from the north the destroyers will come to it," declares the LORD.

²⁴ When the creatures moved I heard the sound of their wings. The sound was like the noise of rushing water. It was like the thunder (voice) of the Almighty. It was like the commotion in an army camp. When the creatures stood still, they lowered their wings.

² I saw the glory of the God of Israel coming from the east. His voice was like the sound of rushing water, and the earth was shining because of his glory.

¹⁵ his feet were like bronze, refined in a furnace, and his voice was like the noise of mighty waters.

⁵ Out from the throne came flashes of lightning, rumblings, and peals of thunder. In front of the throne seven blazing lamps were burning; they are the seven spirits of God.

¹ Then I saw the lamb open the first of the seven seals. I heard one of the four living creatures say with a voice like thunder, "Go!"

⁵ Then the angel took the censer, filled it with fire from the altar, and hurled it to the earth; and there were rolls of thunder, and rumblings, and flashes of lightning, and an earthquake.

¹⁵ Then the seventh angel sounded his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, saying, "The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he will reign for ever and ever." ¹⁶ Then the twenty-four elders who were seated on their thrones before God fell on their faces and worshiped God, ¹⁷ saying: "We give You thanks, O Lord God Almighty, The One who is and who was, because You have taken Your great power and have begun to reign. ¹⁸ The nations were enraged, and Your wrath has come. The time has come to judge the dead, and to reward Your servants, the prophets and saints, and those who fear Your name, both small and great, and to destroy those who destroy the earth.”

² And I heard a sound from heaven, like the sound of great waters, and loud peals of thunder. The sound I heard was like that of harpists playing on their harps.

²² But I saw no temple in the city, because the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple.

¹ And Hannah prayed, and said, My heart rejoices in the LORD, my horn is exalted in the LORD: my mouth boasts over my enemies; because I rejoice in your salvation.

¹⁴ that I may declare all Your praises in the gates of the daughter of Zion: I will rejoice in Your salvation.

¹⁰ Listen, daughter! Consider and pay attention. Forget your people and your father's house, ¹¹ So the king will desire your beauty, honor him, for he is your lord. ¹² The daughter of Tyre will come with a gift. The rich among the people will seek your favor. ¹³ All glorious is the king`s daughter within; her clothing is of wrought gold: ¹⁴ In embroidered garments she is presented to the king. Her virgin companions who follow her train will be presented to you. ¹⁵ They are led with joy and gladness. They enter the palace of the king. ¹⁶ Your sons will take the place of your fathers; you shall make them princes in all the land.

¹¹ Let mount Zion rejoice, let the daughters of Judah be glad, because of your judgments.

¹ Come, let us sing for joy to the LORD; let us shout joyfully to the rock of our salvation. ² Let's come before his presence with thanksgiving. Let's extol him with songs. ³ For the LORD is a great God, a great King above all gods.

¹ Shout for joy to the LORD, all you lands. 2 Worship the LORD with gladness; come before His face with joyful singing.

⁴² The righteous will see this and rejoice, but all the wicked will shut their mouths.

² When the righteous thrive, the people rejoice; but when the wicked rule, the people groan.

¹¹ Go out, you daughters of Zion, and see king Solomon, with the crown with which his mother has crowned him, in the day of his weddings, in the day of the gladness of his heart.

¹ Awake, awake, O Zion, put on your strength. Put on your beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, the holy city. The uncircumcised and defiled will not enter you again.

⁵ For as a young man marries a virgin, so will your sons marry you. And as the bridegroom rejoices over the bride, so will your God rejoice over you.

¹⁰ "Rejoice with Jerusalem, and be glad for her, all you who love her: rejoice for joy with her, all you who mourn over her;

¹⁴ When you see it, your heart will rejoice and you will flourish like new grass. The power of the LORD will be made known to his servants, but he will condemn his enemies.

¹⁹ I will betroth you to me forever. Yes, I will betroth you to me in righteousness, in justice, in loving kindness, and in compassion. ²⁰ I will even betroth you to me in faithfulness and you will know the LORD.

⁹ Rejoice greatly, daughter of Zion. Shout, daughter of Jerusalem. Look, your king comes to you. He is righteous, and having salvation; lowly, and riding on a donkey, even on a colt, the foal of a donkey.

² “The kingdom of heaven is like a king who prepared a wedding banquet for his son.

¹ At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. ² Five of them were foolish, and five were wise. ³ The foolish ones took their lamps, but took no oil with them. ⁴ But the wise ones took oil in flasks along with their lamps. ⁵ The bridegroom was a long time in coming, so that meanwhile they all became drowsy and fell asleep. ⁶ At midnight the cry went out: ‘Here is the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!’ ⁷ Then all the virgins woke up and trimmed their lamps. ⁸ The foolish ones said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil; our lamps are going out.’ ⁹ ‘No,’ said the wise ones, ‘or there may not be enough for both us and you. Instead, go to those who sell oil and buy some for yourselves.’ ¹⁰ But while they were on their way to buy it, the bridegroom arrived. Those who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet, and the door was shut.

³⁶ like men waiting for their master to come home from a wedding, so that when he comes and knocks, they can open the door for him at once.

²⁹ The bride belongs to the bridegroom. The friend of the bridegroom stands and listens for him, and is overjoyed to hear the bridegroom’s voice. That joy is mine, and it is now complete.

² I am jealous for you with a godly jealousy; for I betrothed you to one husband, so that to Christ I might present you as a pure virgin.

²³ For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is himself the Savior.

³² This mystery is profound, but I am speaking about Christ and the church.

³ For it is we who are the circumcision, we who worship by the Spirit of God, who glory in Christ Jesus, and who put no confidence in the flesh—

⁹ Then the angel said to me, "Write, 'Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.'" And he said to me, "These are true words of God."

² I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

⁹ Then one of the seven angels with the seven bowls full of the seven last plagues came and said to me, “Come, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb.”

¹³ All glorious is the king`s daughter within; her clothing is of wrought gold: ¹⁴ In embroidered garments she is presented to the king. Her virgin companions who follow her train will be presented to you.

⁹ Let your priests be clothed with righteousness. Let your saints shout for joy!”

¹⁰ I will rejoice greatly in the LORD. I will exult in my God for he has clothed me with garments of salvation. He has wrapped me with a robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself with a garland, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.

¹⁰ I clothed you also with embroidered work, and put sealskin sandals on you. I dressed you with fine linen and covered you with silk.

² There He was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and His clothes became as white as the light.

¹² ‘Friend,’ he asked, ‘how did you get in here without wedding clothes?’ But the man was speechless.

³ and his clothes became dazzling white, whiter than anyone on earth could bleach them.

⁴ While they were at a loss about this, suddenly two men in glittering robes stood beside them.

¹⁰ They were looking intently into the sky as He was going, when suddenly two men dressed in white stood beside them.

²² And this righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no distinction,

¹⁴ But clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about gratifying your physical cravings.

²⁶ to sanctify her, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, ²⁷ and to present her to Himself as a glorious church, without stain or wrinkle or any such blemish, but holy and blameless.

⁴ But you have a few people in Sardis who have not soiled their clothes. They will walk with me in white clothes because they are worthy. ⁵ "'He who overcomes will be clothed in white garments. I will not blot out his name from the book of life. In fact I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

¹⁸ I advise you to buy of me gold that has been refined in the fire, so that you may become rich, and white clothes to put on, to hide your shameful nakedness, and salve to put on your eyes, to make you see.

¹³ Then one of the elders addressed me: “These in white robes,” he asked, “who are they, and where have they come from?” ¹⁴ I said to him, "Sir, you know." And he said to me, "These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

⁴ Who will not fear You, O Lord, and glorify Your name? For You alone are holy. All nations will come and worship before You, for Your righteous acts have been revealed.”

¹ The LORD said to me, "Take a large tablet, and write on it with a man's pen, 'For Maher Shalal Hash Baz;'

² The LORD answered me, "Write the vision, and make it plain on tablets, that he who runs may read it.

² “The kingdom of heaven is like a king who prepared a wedding banquet for his son. ³ He sent his servants out to call those who had been invited to the wedding reception, but they refused to come. ⁴ Again, he sent other servants and said, ‘Tell those who have been invited that I have prepared my dinner. My oxen and fatlings have been killed, and everything is ready. Come to the wedding banquet.’

¹⁵ When one of those reclining with Him heard this, he said to Jesus, “Blessed is everyone who will eat at the feast in the kingdom of God.” ¹⁶ But Jesus replied, “A certain man prepared a great banquet and invited many guests.

¹⁵ It is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinnersof whom I am the foremost.

⁹ This is a trustworthy saying that deserves complete acceptance.

¹¹ Here is a trustworthy saying: if we died with him, we will also live with him;

⁸ This teaching is trustworthy, and I want you to insist on these things, so that those who have believed in God may be careful to devote themselves to good works. These things are excellent and profitable for people.

¹⁹ Write, therefore, what you have seen, what is now and what will take place after this.

¹ To the angel of the church in Ephesus write: These are the words of Him who holds the seven stars in His right hand and walks among the seven golden lampstands.

⁸ And to the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These are the words of him who is the first and the last, who was dead, and came to life;

¹² To the angel of the church in Pergamum write: These are the words of the One who has the sharp, double-edged sword.

¹⁸ To the angel of the church in Thyatira write: These are the words of the Son of God, whose eyes are like a blazing fire and whose feet are like polished bronze.

¹ And to the angel of the church in Sardis write; These are the words of him who has the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know your works, that you have a reputation of being alive, but you are dead.

⁷ To the angel of the church in Philadelphia write: These are the words of the One who is holy and true, who holds the key of David. What He opens, no one will shut; and what He shuts, no one will open.

¹⁴ To the angel of the church in Laodicea write: These are the words of the Amen, the faithful and true Witness, the Originator of God’s creation.

²⁰ Lo, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and sup with him, and he with me.

⁴ And when the seven thunders had sounded, I was about to write; but I heard a voice from heaven saying, "Seal up what the seven thunders have said, and do not write it down."

¹³ And I heard a voice from heaven, saying, "Write, 'Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on!'" "Yes," says the Spirit, "that they may rest from their labors, for their deeds follow them."

⁷ Let us rejoice and be glad and give him the glory! For the marriage of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready. ⁸ She was given clothing of fine linen, linen bright and pure.” For the fine linen she wears is the righteous acts of the saints.

¹⁰ And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said to me, Do not do that: I am a fellow servant with you and your brethren, who hold to the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. ¹¹ Then I saw heaven standing open, and there before me was a white horse. And its rider is called Faithful and True. With righteousness He judges and wages war.

⁵ Then He who was seated on the throne said, "See! I am making everything new." He continued, "Write this, for these words are trustworthy and true."

⁶ And he said to me, "These words are trustworthy and true. And the Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets, has sent his angel to show his servants the things which must soon take place."

¹⁴ for you shall worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God.

³⁶ But the LORD, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt with great power and with an outstretched arm, him you will fear and to him you will bow yourselves and to him you will sacrifice.

¹¹ So the king will desire your beauty, honor him, for he is your lord.

²⁰ Bless the LORD, you his angels, you mighty heroes who do his word by obeying the sound of his word. ²¹ Bless the LORD, all you his hosts, you his attendants who do his will.

¹⁰ A stream of fire went out and came out from before Him. A thousand thousands served Him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before Him. The judgment was set, and the books were opened.

¹⁰ Then Jesus said to him, "Go away, Satan. For it is written, 'You are to worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.'"

²² And, behold, one of the synagogue rulers named Jairus came. And seeing Him, he fell at His feet.

²⁵ In fact, as soon as she heard about Him, a woman whose little daughter had an unclean spirit came and fell at His feet.

¹⁹ The angel answered, "I am Gabriel. I stand in the very presence of God. I have been sent to speak to you and to tell you this good news.

²⁵ He said to them, “Foolish men, and slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken! ²⁶ Did not the Christ have to suffer these things and enter his glory?" ²⁷ And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he explained to them the things in all the scriptures, concerning himself.

⁴⁴ Jesus said to them, “These are the words I spoke to you while I was still with you: Everything must be fulfilled that is written about Me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets, and the Psalms.”

²² You worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know, for salvation is from the Jews. ²³ But a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth, for the Father is seeking such as these to worship Him. ²⁴ God is Spirit, and His worshipers must worship Him in spirit and in truth.”

³⁹ You pore over the Scriptures because you presume that by them you possess eternal life. These are the very words that testify about Me,

¹² When Peter saw this, he addressed the people: “Men of Israel, why are you surprised by this? Why do you stare at us as if by our own power or godliness we had made this man walk? ¹³ The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified His servant Jesus. You handed Him over and rejected Him before Pilate, even though he had decided to release Him. ¹⁴ You rejected the Holy and Righteous One and asked that a murderer be released to you. ¹⁵ You killed the Author of life, but God raised Him from the dead, and we are witnesses of the fact. ¹⁶ By faith in the name of Jesus, this man whom you see and know has been made strong. It is Jesus’ name and the faith that comes through Him that has given him this complete healing in your presence. ¹⁷ And now, brothers, I know that you acted in ignorance, as did your leaders. ¹⁸ But in this way God has fulfilled what He foretold through all the prophets, saying that His Christ would suffer.

²⁵ When Peter entered the house Cornelius met him, fell at his feet, and worshiped him; ²⁶ but Peter lifted him up. "Stand up," he said, "I am only a man, myself."

⁴³ All the prophets testify about Him that everyone who believes in Him receives forgiveness of sins through His name.”

²⁷ The people of Jerusalem and their rulers did not recognize Jesus, yet in condemning Him they fulfilled the words of the prophets that are read every Sabbath.

¹¹ Now when the crowds saw what Paul had done, they shouted in the Lycaonian language, "The gods have come down to us in human form!" ¹² Barnabas they called Zeus, and Paul they called Hermes, because he was the chief speaker. ¹³ The priest of Zeus, whose temple was just outside the city, brought bulls and wreaths to the city gates, hoping to offer a sacrifice along with the crowds. ¹⁴ But when the apostles Barnabas and Paul heard of it, they tore their clothes and rushed out into the crowd, shouting, ¹⁵ “Men, why are you doing this? We too are only men, human like you. We are bringing you good news that you should turn from these worthless things to the living God, who made heaven and earth and sea and everything in them.

²¹ But now the righteousness of God apart from the law has been revealed, being witnessed to by the Law and the Prophets, ²² And this righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no distinction,

⁷ But just as you excel in everything—in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness, and in the love we inspired in you—see that you also excel in this grace of giving.

¹⁵ Be strictly careful, then, how you live, not as unwise but as wise.

³³ Nevertheless, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.

¹⁵ Make sure that no one pays back evil for evil. Instead, always pursue what is good for each other and for everyone else.

¹⁴ Are not the angels ministering spirits, sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?

²⁵ See to it that you do not refuse him who is speaking. For if they did not escape when they refused him who warned them on earth, how much less shall we escape, if we turn away from him who warns us from heaven?

¹⁰ Concerning this salvation, the prophets, who foretold the grace that would come to you, searched and investigated carefully, ¹¹ trying to determine the time and setting to which the Spirit of Christ in them was pointing when He predicted the sufferings of Christ and the glories to follow. ¹² It was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves but you, when they foretold the things now announced by those who preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven. Even angels long to look into these things.

¹⁹ And we have the prophetic word made more sure, and you will do well to pay attention to this as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts. ²⁰ Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture comes from the prophet’s own interpretation. ²¹ for prophecy never came by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.

¹⁰ Whoever believes in the Son of God has this testimony within him; whoever does not believe God has made Him out to be a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony God has given about His Son.

²¹ My children, keep yourselves from idols.

⁹ I, John, your brother and companion in the tribulation and kingdom and patient endurance that are ours in Jesus, was on the island called Patmos because of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus.

¹⁰ the twenty-four elders fall down before him who sits on the throne and worship him who lives for ever and ever; they cast their crowns before the throne, saying,

¹¹ They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives even to the death.

¹⁷ Then the dragon was enraged with the woman, and went off to make war on the rest of her offspring, on those who keep the commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Jesus.

⁷ He said with a loud voice, "Fear God, and give him glory; for the hour of his judgment has come. Worship him who made the heaven, the earth, the sea, and the springs of waters."

⁸ I, John, am he who heard and saw these things. And when I had heard and seen I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who had shown them to me. ⁹ But he said to me, “Do not do that! I am a fellow servant with you and your brothers the prophets, and with those who keep the words of this book. Worship God!”

³ Gird your sword on your thigh, O mighty one, in your splendor and your majesty. ⁴ In your majesty ride on victoriously on behalf of truth, humility, and righteousness. Let your right hand display awesome deeds. ⁵ your arrows are sharp in the heart of the king's enemies; whereby the people fall under you. ⁶ Your throne, O God, is forever and ever. A scepter of uprightness is the scepter of your kingdom. ⁷ You love righteousness and hate wickedness. Therefore God, your God, has anointed you from among your companions with festive oil.

⁶ And the heavens declare His righteousness, For God Himself is judge. Selah.

² He will judge your people with righteousness, and your poor with justice. ³ The mountains shall bring prosperity to the people. The hills bring the fruit of righteousness. ⁴ May he defend the afflicted of the people and deliver the children of the poor, but crush the oppressor.

¹³ before the LORD; for he comes, for he comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world with righteousness, the peoples with his truth.

⁹ Let them sing before the LORD, for he comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world with righteousness, and the peoples with equity.

⁴ The King's strength also loves justice. You do establish equity. You execute justice and righteousness in Jacob.

³ His delight will be in the fear of the LORD. He will not judge by the sight of his eyes, neither decide by the hearing of his ears; ⁴ but with righteousness he will judge the poor, and decide with equity for the humble of the earth. He will strike the earth with the rod of his mouth; and with the breath of his lips he will kill the wicked. ⁵ Righteousness will be the belt of his waist, and faithfulness the belt of his waist.

¹ Behold, a king will reign in righteousness and rulers will rule in justice.

²¹ Declare and bring near; yea, let them consult together. Who has revealed this of old; who has told it from then? Is it not I, the LORD? And there is no God other than Me; a just God and a Savior; there is none except Me.

¹ Who is this, coming from Edom, from Bozrah in bright red garments? Who is this honored in his garment, lying down in his great strength? "It is I, speaking in justice, mighty to save!" ² Why are your garments red, and your garments like he who treads in the winepress? ³ “I have trodden the wine press alone. Of the peoples, no one was with me. Yes, I trod them in my anger and trampled them in my wrath. Their lifeblood is sprinkled on my garments, and I have stained all my clothing. ⁴ For the day of vengeance was in my heart, and the year of my redeemed has come. ⁵ I looked, and there was no one to help; and I wondered that there was no one to uphold. Therefore my own arm brought salvation to me. My own wrath upheld me.

⁵ "The days are coming," declares the LORD, "when I will raise up for David a righteous Branch. He will reign as king and act wisely and do justice and righteousness in the land. ⁶ In his days Judah will be saved, and Israel will dwell safely. This is his name by which he will be called: the LORD our righteousness.

¹⁵ In those days and at that time I'll cause a righteous Branch to spring up for David, and he will uphold justice and righteousness in the land.

¹ Now in the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, in the fifth day of the month, as I was among the captives by the river Chebar, the heavens were opened, and I saw visions of God.

⁸ "I stared into the night, and there was a man mounted on a red horse! The horse was standing among the myrtle trees in a ravine. Behind him there were red, brown, and white horses.

⁹ Rejoice greatly, daughter of Zion. Shout, daughter of Jerusalem. Look, your king comes to you. He is righteous, and having salvation; lowly, and riding on a donkey, even on a colt, the foal of a donkey. ¹⁰ I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim, and the horse from Jerusalem; and the battle bow will be cut off; and he will speak peace to the nations: and his dominion will be from sea to sea, and from the River to the ends of the earth.

⁶ Jesus answered, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

¹ This Melchizedek was king of Salem and priest of God Most High. He met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings and blessed him, ² and Abraham apportioned to him a tenth of everything. First, his name means “king of righteousness.” Then also, “king of Salem” means “king of peace.”

⁵ and from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood,

¹ After this I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven. And the voice, which I had first heard speaking to me like a trumpet said, "Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after this."

² And in my vision I saw 'a white horse.' Its rider held a bow, and he was given a crown, and he went out conquering and to conquer.

¹⁹ Then God's temple in heaven was opened, and within his temple was seen the ark of his covenant; and there were flashes of lightning, voices, peals of thunder, an earthquake and a great hailstorm.

³ and they sang the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, "Great and marvelous are your deeds, O Lord God the Almighty! Just and true are your ways, O King of the ages! ⁴ Who will not fear You, O Lord, and glorify Your name? For You alone are holy. All nations will come and worship before You, for Your righteous acts have been revealed.” ⁵ After this I looked, and the temple of the tabernacle of testimony in heaven was opened, ⁶ And out of the temple came the seven angels with the seven plagues, dressed in clean and bright linen and girded with golden sashes around their chests. ⁷ Then one of the four living creatures gave to the seven angels seven golden bowls full of the wrath of God, who lives for ever and ever.

²⁹ Jacob said: "Please tell me your name." The man answered: "Why do you ask for my name?" Then he blessed Jacob there.

²¹ Be attentive to him and listen to his voice; do not rebel against him, because he will not forgive your transgression, for my name is in him.

¹⁸ The angel asked: "Why do you want to know my name? It is ‘Wonderful.’" (Isaiah 9:6)

⁵ You made him a little lower than the angels, You have crowned him with glory and honor;

⁶ For to us a child is born. To us a son is given; and the government will be on his shoulders. His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

³ You also will be a crown of glory in the hand of the LORD, and a royal diadem in the hand of your God.

¹⁶ "the LORD their God will save them in that day like the flock of his people. They will be like the stones in a crown lifted high over his land.

²⁷ "All things have been delivered to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.

⁵ Say to the daughter of Zion, "Look, your King comes to you, humble, and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey."

¹⁸ Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me.

²² All things have been entrusted to Me by My Father. No one knows who the Son is except the Father, and no one knows who the Father is except the Son, and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal Him.”

⁹ But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, now crowned with glory and honor because He suffered death, so that by the grace of God He might taste death for everyone.

¹⁴ His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and his eyes were like a flame of fire;

¹⁷ He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give some of the hidden manna. And I will give him a white stone, with a new name written on the stone which no one knows except him who receives it.' ¹⁸ To the angel of the church in Thyatira write: These are the words of the Son of God, whose eyes are like a blazing fire and whose feet are like polished bronze.

¹² He who conquers--I will make him a pillar in the Temple of my God; and never more shall he leave it; and I will write on him the name of my God and the name of the City of my God, the New Jerusalem, which is coming down out of Heaven from my God, and I will write on him my new name.

³ Then another sign appeared in heaven: a huge red dragon with seven heads, ten horns, and seven royal crowns on his heads.

¹ And the dragon stood on the shore of the sea. And I saw a beast coming out of the sea. He had ten horns and seven heads, with ten diadems on his horns, and on his heads were blasphemous names.

¹⁶ and on his robe and on his thigh he has this name written-- 'KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.'

¹⁰ The righteous shall rejoice when he sees vengeance; he shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked.

⁵ Every warrior's boot used in battle and every garment rolled in blood will be destined for burning, will be fuel for the fire.

³ Their slain also will be cast out. And the stench of their dead bodies will come up and the mountains will be melted with their blood. ⁴ And all the powers of the heavens shall melt, and the sky shall be rolled up like a scroll; and all the stars shall fall like leaves from a vine, and as leaves fall from a fig tree. ⁵ For my sword saturates in the heavens: behold, it descends on Edom and on the people of my devotement to judgment. ⁶ The sword of the LORD is filled with blood; it is made fat with fatness, with the blood of lambs and goats, with the fat of the kidneys of rams; for the LORD has a sacrifice in Bozrah, and a great slaughter in the land of Edom. ⁷ Wild oxen will be killed with them, young bulls along with rams. Their land will be drenched with blood. Their dust will be covered with fat. ⁸ For the LORD has a day of vengeance, a year of retribution for the strife of Zion.

¹ In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

¹⁴ The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. We have seen His glory, the glory of the one and only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.

¹ That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have touched, concerning the Word of life,

⁷ For there are three that testify:

²⁰ The 'grapes were trodden in the press' outside the city; and blood came out of the press, rising as high as the bridles of the horses for a distance of two hundred miles.

¹⁷ The chariots of God are tens of thousands and thousands of thousands. The Lord is among them, from Sinai, into the sanctuary.

⁶ May the high praises of God be in their mouths, and a two-edged sword in their hand, ⁷ to execute vengeance on the nations and punishment on the peoples, ⁸ to bind their kings with fetters, and their nobles with manacles of iron; ⁹ to carry out on them the judgment written; this is an honor for all His saints. Praise the LORD!

⁵ "You will flee by the valley of my mountains. For the valley of the mountains will reach to Azel. Yes you will flee the same as you fled from the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah. the LORD my God will come, and all the holy ones with him.

⁵³ Are you not aware that I can call on My Father, and He will at once put at my disposal more than twelve legions of angels?

³ His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow.

⁷ and to grant relief to you who are oppressed, and to us as well, when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels

¹⁴ Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these, saying: "Behold, the LORD came with many thousands of his holy ones.

⁴ But you have a few people in Sardis who have not soiled their clothes. They will walk with me in white clothes because they are worthy.

⁴ Around the throne were twenty-four thrones. On the thrones were twenty-four elders sitting, dressed in white garments, with crowns of gold on their heads.

⁹ After this I looked, and there was a vast throng that no one could count from every nation, tribe, people, and tongue, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands,

¹ Then I looked, and there was the lamb, standing on Mount Zion! With him were 144,000 people who had his name and his Father's name written on their foreheads.

¹⁴ These will make war with the Lamb and the Lamb will overcome them because he is Lord of lords and King of kings, and those called and chosen and faithful with him.

⁸ She was given clothing of fine linen, linen bright and pure.” For the fine linen she wears is the righteous acts of the saints.

¹¹ Then I saw heaven standing open, and there before me was a white horse. And its rider is called Faithful and True. With righteousness He judges and wages war.

⁹ "You will rule them with an iron scepter. You will dash them to pieces like pottery!"

⁴ but with righteousness he will judge the poor, and decide with equity for the humble of the earth. He will strike the earth with the rod of his mouth; and with the breath of his lips he will kill the wicked.

³³ For a place of fire has long been ready; yes, it has been made ready for the king; he has made it deep and wide: it is massed with fire and much wood; the breath of the Lord, like a stream of fire, puts a light to it.

⁸ And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will slay with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of his coming.

¹⁶ In his right hand he held seven stars, and out of his mouth came a sharp, two-edged sword. His face was like the sun when it shines with full force.

¹⁶ Repent therefore, or else I will soon come to you and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.

²⁷ He will rule them with an iron scepter and shatter them like pottery—just as I have received authority from My Father.

⁵ And she gave birth to a son, a male child, who will rule all the nations with an iron scepter; and her child was caught up to God and to His throne.

¹⁷ Another angel came out of the temple in heaven, and he too had a sharp sickle. ¹⁸ Still another angel, with authority over the fire, came from the altar and called out in a loud voice to the angel with the sharp sickle, “Swing your sharp sickle and gather the clusters of grapes from the vine of the earth, because its grapes are ripe.” ¹⁹ So the angel swung his sickle in the earth, gathered the grapes from the earth, and threw them into the great winepress of God's wrath. ²⁰ The 'grapes were trodden in the press' outside the city; and blood came out of the press, rising as high as the bridles of the horses for a distance of two hundred miles.

²¹ The rest were killed with the sword that came out of the mouth of him who sat on the horse, and all the birds gorged themselves upon their bodies.

¹¹ Yes, all kings will bow down before him. All nations will serve him.

¹⁵ By me kings reign, and rulers make just decrees; ¹⁶ by me princes rule, and nobles, all the judges of the earth.

⁴⁷ The king answered Daniel and said, "Truly your God is the God of gods and the Lord of kings, and he reveals mysteries, for you are able to reveal this mystery."

⁹ Therefore God exalted Him to the highest place, and gave Him the name above all names, ¹⁰ that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, ¹¹ and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

¹⁵ Which he will bring about in his own time, he who is the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;

¹⁷ He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give some of the hidden manna. And I will give him a white stone, with a new name written on the stone which no one knows except him who receives it.'

¹² His eyes are a flame of fire, and on his head are many crowns. He had a name written which no one knows but he himself. ¹³ He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and His name is The Word of God.

¹ Come near, you nations, to hear; and hearken, you people: let the earth hear, and all that is in it; the world, and all things that come forth of it. ² For the LORD is enraged against all the nations, and angry with all their armies. He has utterly destroyed them. He has given them over for slaughter.

⁹ Come, all you beasts of the field, come and devour, all you beasts of the forest!

⁹ Is my inheritance like a speckled bird of prey to me? Are the other birds of prey all around her coming against her? Go, gather all the wild animals and bring them to devour it.

¹⁷ "As for you, son of man, the Sovereign LORD says: 'Speak to every kind of bird and to every beast of the field: "Assemble and come, gather from every side to my sacrifice that I am going to sacrifice for you. It is a great sacrifice on the mountains of Israel, that you may eat flesh and drink blood. ¹⁸ "'You will eat the flesh of mighty men and drink the blood of the princes of the earth, as though they were rams, lambs, goats and bulls, all of them fatlings of Bashan."' ¹⁹ Eat the fat your belly full, and drink blood till ye be drunken of the slaughter, which I have slain unto you. ²⁰ "'You will be glutted at my table with horses and charioteers, with mighty men and all the men of war,' declares the Sovereign LORD.

¹³ And as I observed, I heard an eagle flying overhead, calling in a loud voice, “Woe! Woe! Woe to those who dwell on the earth, because of the trumpet blasts about to be sounded by the remaining three angels!”

⁶ Then I saw another angel flying overhead with the eternal gospel to proclaim to those who live on earth to every nation, tribe, language, and people.

²⁶ Your bodies will be meat for all the birds of the air and the beasts of the earth; there will be no one to send them away.

⁴⁴ said to David, "Come to me! I'll give your flesh to the birds of the sky and to the beasts of the field."

⁴⁶ Today the LORD shall shut you up into my hand, and I shall strike you, and take off your head from you and give the carcasses of the Philistine army to the birds of the heavens and to the beasts of the earth today. And all the earth shall know that there is a God for Israel.

⁵ The Lord is at your right hand. He will crush kings in the day of his wrath. ⁶ He will judge among the nations. He will heap up dead bodies. He will crush the ruler of the whole earth.

³³ And the carcasses of this people shall be for food for the birds of the air and the wild beasts of the earth; and there shall be none to scare them away.

⁴ "They will die of lethal diseases. They will not be mourned or buried. They will be as dung on the surface of the ground and die by sword and famine (war and starvation). Their carcasses will become food for the birds of the sky and for the animals of the earth."

⁷ "I will make void the counsel of Judah and Jerusalem in this place. I will cause them to fall by the sword before their enemies and by the hand of those who seek their life. I will give their carcasses as food for the birds of the sky and the animals of the earth.

²⁰ I'll give them to their enemies who are seeking to kill them, and their dead bodies will be food for the birds of the sky and the animals of the land.

⁵ "I will abandon you to the wilderness and all the fish of your rivers. You will fall on the open field. You will not be brought together or gathered. I have given you for food to the beasts of the earth and to the birds of the sky.

²⁸ Wherever there is a carcass, there the vultures will gather.

³⁷ “Where, Lord?” they asked. Jesus answered, “Wherever there is a carcass, there the vultures will gather.”

¹⁵ Then the kings of the earth, the nobles, the commanders, the rich, the mighty, and every slave and free man, hid in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains.

¹⁶ And he causes everyone, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on his right hand, or on his forehead:

⁸ "'"After many days you will be summoned. In the latter years you will come into the land that is restored from the sword, whose inhabitants have been gathered from many nations to the mountains of Israel that had been a continual waste. Its people were brought out from the nations, and all of them are living securely. ⁹ '"You will go up like a storm. You will be like a cloud covering the land. You your troops will have many peoples with you."' ¹⁰ " 'Thus says the Sovereign LORD: "And then on that day, things will come up on your mind, and you will devise evil plans. ¹¹ ""You will say: "I will go up against the land of unwalled villages. I will go against those who are securely at rest. They live without walls and have no bars or gates." ¹² to loot loot, and to plunder plunder, ⌊to assail⌋ inhabited ruins and a people gathered together from various peoples and who are acquiring livestock and goods and dwelling at the center of the world. ¹³ Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all its villages, shall say unto you, Have you come to take plunder? have you gathered your company to take a prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil? ¹⁴ “Therefore, son of man, prophesy, and tell Gog, 'The Sovereign LORD says: “In that day when my people Israel dwells securely, will you not know it? ¹⁵ "'You will come from your place out of the remote parts of the north, you and many nations with you, all of them riding on horses, a great assembly and a mighty army. ¹⁶ and you will advance against my people Israel like a cloud covering the land; it will be in the last days, and I will bring you against my land, so that the nations know me, when I show myself holy through you before their eyes, O Gog!" ' ¹⁷ “'The Sovereign LORD says: “Are you he of whom I spoke in old time by my servants the prophets of Israel, who prophesied in those days for years that I would bring you against them? ¹⁸ And it shall be on that day, when Gog comes against the land of Israel, says the Sovereign LORD, My fury shall come up in My face.

²¹ I saw that this horn made war against the saints and overcame them; ²² until the Ancient of Days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the Most High. And the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom. ²³ "And he said, 'The fourth beast is the fourth kingdom that will be on the earth that will be different from all the other kingdoms, and it will devour the whole earth and it will trample it and it will crush it. ²⁴ '"The ten horns are ten kings that will arise out of this kingdom! Another will arise after them. He will be different from the former, and he will subdue three kings. ²⁵ He'll speak out against the Most High and wear down the saints of the Highest One. He'll attempt to alter times and laws, and they'll be given into his control for a time, times, and half a time. ²⁶ Then the court will sit, and his dominion will be removed, to be eradicated and to be destroyed totally.

²⁵ "Through his policy he will cause deceit to prosper in his hand. He will boast about himself in his heart. In their security they will destroy many. He will even stand up against the prince of princes; but he will be destroyed without human power.

⁴⁰ "And at the time of the end the king of the south will attack him, and the king of the north will storm against him with chariots and with horsemen and with many ships, and he will advance against the countries and he will sweep through like a flood. ⁴¹ he shall enter also into the fair pleasant land. Many cities and countries shall decay, except Edom, Moab and the best of the children of Ammon, which shall escape from his hand. ⁴² He'll extend his power over other countries, and even the land of Egypt won't escape. ⁴³ He'll capture treasures of gold, silver, and all the treasures of Egypt with the Libyans and Cushites at his feet. ⁴⁴ »News from the east and the north will trouble him. He will go forth with great fury to destroy and annihilate many. ⁴⁵ And he shall pitch his royal tents between the sea and the beautiful holy mountain. Yet he shall come to his end, with no one to help him.

⁹ Proclaim this among the nations: "Prepare for war. Stir up the mighty men. Let all the warriors draw near. Let them come up. ¹⁰ Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruning hooks into spears. Let the weak say, 'I am strong.' ¹¹ Hurry and come, all the nations, from all around, and gather yourselves there. Bring down your mighty warriors, O LORD! ¹² Let the nations, be roused, and come up, into the Vale of Jehoshaphat,—for, there, will I sit to judge all the nations, on every side. ¹³ (4:13) Put forth the sickle; for the harvest is ripe: come, tread down the grapes; for the press is full; the vats overflow; for great is their wickedness. ¹⁴ Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision. For the day of the LORD is near, in the valley of decision.

⁷ When they have finished their testimony, the beast that comes up from the abyss will make war with them, and overcome them and kill them.

¹ And the dragon stood on the shore of the sea. And I saw a beast coming out of the sea. He had ten horns and seven heads, with ten diadems on his horns, and on his heads were blasphemous names. ² The beast I saw looked like a leopard. His feet were like the feet of a bear. His mouth was like the mouth of a lion. The dragon gave the beast his power, his throne, and great authority. ³ One of the heads of the beast appeared to be fatally wounded. But the mortal wound was healed, and the whole world was astonished and followed the beast. ⁴ Men worshipped the dragon, because he had given his authority to the beast, and they worshipped the beast, saying, "Who is like the beast, and who can make war against him?" ⁵ It was allowed to utter great boasts and blasphemies, and to exert authority for forty-two months. ⁶ He opened his mouth to blaspheme God, to slander his name, and his dwelling place, and those who live in heaven. ⁷ It was allowed to wage war against the saints and to conquer them. It was also given authority over every tribe, people, languages, and nation. ⁸ And all who dwell on the earth wilt worship him, every one whose name hath not been written in the book of life of the Lamb that was slain from the foundation of the world. ⁹ He who has an ear, let him hear. ¹⁰ If anyone is going into captivity, into captivity he goes. If anyone is to be killed by the sword, by the sword he is to be killed. Here is the patient endurance and the faith of the saints.

⁹ The third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice: "If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,

¹⁴ for they are spirits of demons, performing miraculous signs, and they go out to the kings of the whole world, to gather them for the battle on the great day of God Almighty.

¹⁶ And they gathered them together at the place which in Hebrew is called Armageddon.

¹² “And the ten horns you saw are ten kings, who have not received a kingdom yet, but for one hour they will receive authority as kings, along with the beast. ¹³ These have one purpose and they give their power and authority to the beast. ¹⁴ These will make war with the Lamb and the Lamb will overcome them because he is Lord of lords and King of kings, and those called and chosen and faithful with him.

With righteousness He judges and wages war. ¹² His eyes are a flame of fire, and on his head are many crowns. ²⁴ And the LORD rained brimstone and fire on Sodom and Gomorrah, from the LORD out of the heavens.

²³ [that] the whole land of it is brimstone, and salt, [and] a burning, [that] it is not sown, nor bears, nor any grass grows in it, like the overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah, Admah and Zeboiim, which LORD overthrew in his anger, and i

¹⁵ "Fire resides in his tent; burning sulfur is scattered over his dwelling.

⁶ On the wicked he will rain blazing coals; fire, sulfur, and scorching wind shall be the portion of their cup.

⁹ Her streams will be turned into pitch, her dust into sulphur, and her land will become burning pitch;

²² And I will execute judgment on him, with pestilence and blood and with tempests of rain and hailstones; and I will rain down fire and brimstone on him, and on all with him, even on the many nations with him.

⁴⁰ Then there will be a fourth kingdom, as strong as iron. Just as all things are broken to pieces and shattered by iron, so it will shatter and crush everything. ⁴¹ Whereas you saw the feet and toes, part of potters' clay, and part of iron, it will be a divided kingdom; but there will be in it of the strength of the iron, because you saw the iron mixed with miry clay. ⁴² As the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom will be partly strong, and partly broken. ⁴³ And in that you saw the iron was mixed with wet clay, so they will mix in marriage and they will not cling to one another, just as iron does not mix with clay. ⁴⁴ “In the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which will never be destroyed, nor will its sovereignty be left to another people; but it will break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it will stand forever. ⁴⁵ »You saw a stone cut out of the mountain without hands. It broke the iron, brass, clay, silver, and the gold to pieces. The great God made known to the king what will happen in the future. The dream is certain, and the interpretation of it is sure.«

⁷ After this I looked in the night visions, and behold, a fourth beast, frightening and terrifying, and very strong. And it had great iron teeth; it devoured and broke in pieces, and stamped the rest with its feet. And it was different from all the beasts before it; and it had ten horns. ⁸ I was thinking about the horns. And behold! Another little horn came up among them, and three of the first horns were uprooted before it. And behold! In this horn were eyes like the eyes of the man, and a mouth speaking great things. ⁹ I saw until thrones were placed, and the Ancient of Days took his seat. His clothing was white as snow, and the hair of his head like pure wool. His throne was fiery flames, and its wheels burning fire. ¹⁰ A stream of fire went out and came out from before Him. A thousand thousands served Him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before Him. The judgment was set, and the books were opened. ¹¹ "I continued watching because of the audacious words that the horn was speaking. I kept observing until the animal was killed and its body destroyed and given over to burning fire. ¹² As for the rest of the beasts, their authority was taken away: but they let them go on living for a measure of time. ¹³ I beheld in the night vision, and behold, One like the Son of Man coming with the clouds of heaven, and He came to the Ancient of Days, and was brought near to Him. ¹⁴ And there was given him dominion and glory and a kingdom, that all the peoples, nations and languages should serve him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion, which will not pass away and his kingdom is one that will not be destroyed.

¹⁹ Then I wanted to know the truth of the fourth beast, which was different from all the others, very frightening, whose teeth were of iron, and his nails of bronze; who devoured, broke in pieces, and stamped the rest with his feet; ²⁰ And concerning the ten horns that were on its head, and the other horn which came up, and before which three fell, even that horn that had eyes, and a mouth that spoke arrogant things, whose look was larger than the others. ²¹ I saw that this horn made war against the saints and overcame them;

²⁴ His power will be mighty, but not by his own power. He will destroy awesomely, and will prosper in what he does. He will destroy the mighty ones and the holy people.

²⁶ The vision of the evenings and mornings which has been told is true: but seal up the vision; for it belongs to many days to come.

⁴⁵ And he shall pitch his royal tents between the sea and the beautiful holy mountain. Yet he shall come to his end, with no one to help him.

⁸ And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will slay with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of his coming. ⁹ The coming of the lawless one will be accompanied by the power of Satan. He will use every kind of power, including miraculous signs, lying wonders, ¹⁰ and with all the deception of wickedness for those who are to perish, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. ¹¹ For this reason, God will send them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie,

¹ And the dragon stood on the shore of the sea. And I saw a beast coming out of the sea. He had ten horns and seven heads, with ten diadems on his horns, and on his heads were blasphemous names. ² The beast I saw looked like a leopard. His feet were like the feet of a bear. His mouth was like the mouth of a lion. The dragon gave the beast his power, his throne, and great authority. ³ One of the heads of the beast appeared to be fatally wounded. ¹¹ I saw another beast coming up out of the earth. He had two horns like a lamb, and he spoke like a dragon. ¹² He exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence, and makes the earth and its inhabitants worship the first beast, whose fatal wound was healed. ¹³ He performs great signs, even causing fire to come down from heaven to earth in the sight of men. ¹⁴ Because of the signs it was given to perform on behalf of the first beast, it deceived those who dwell on the earth, telling them to make an image to the beast that had been wounded by the sword and yet had lived. ¹⁵ The second beast was permitted to give breath to the image of the first beast, so that the image would also speak and cause all who refused to worship it to be killed. ¹⁶ And he causes everyone, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on his right hand, or on his forehead: ¹⁷ so that no one can buy or sell unless he has the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of his name. ¹⁸ Here is wisdom: He who has understanding, let him calculate the number of the beast, for it is a number of a man. And its number is 666

¹⁰ will drink the wine of God's wrath, which has been poured undiluted into the cup of his anger. He will be tortured with fire and sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and the lamb.

¹³ And I saw three evil spirits that looked like frogs; [one was] coming out of the mouth of the dragon, [one] out of the mouth of the beast, and [one] out of the mouth of the false prophet. ¹⁴ for they are spirits of demons, performing miraculous signs, and they go out to the kings of the whole world, to gather them for the battle on the great day of God Almighty.

³ And the angel carried me away in the Spirit into a wilderness, where I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast that was covered with blasphemous names and had seven heads and ten horns. ⁴ And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and of the filthiness of her adulteries: ⁵ And on her forehead a name was written, "MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF THE PROSTITUTES AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH." ⁶ I saw that the woman was drunk with the blood of God's people, and the blood of the witnesses of Jesus. When I saw her I was perfectly amazed, ⁷ And the angel said to me, Why do you wonder? I will tell you the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carries her, which has the seven heads and ten horns. ⁸ The beast which thou sawest, was, and is not, and is to come up out of the abyss, and goeth into perdition; and they that dwell on the earth, whose names have not been written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, will wonder, when they see the beast, that he was, and is not, and yet will come.

¹² “And the ten horns you saw are ten kings, who have not received a kingdom yet, but for one hour they will receive authority as kings, along with the beast.

¹⁹ Then I saw the beast, the kings of the earth, and their armies gathered to wage war against the rider on the horse and his army.

¹⁰ The devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet are also. They will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

¹⁴ And death and Hades were thrown into the Lake of Fire. This is the second death. ¹⁵ And if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.

⁸ But to the cowardly and unbelieving and abominable and murderers and sexually immoral and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars, their place will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur. This is the second death.”

¹⁵ Outside are the dogs, the sorcerers, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.

¹⁶ The ten horns and the beast you saw will hate the prostitute. They will leave her abandoned and naked. They will eat her flesh and burn her up with fire,

¹¹ Then I saw heaven standing open, and there before me was a white horse. And its rider is called Faithful and True. With righteousness He judges and wages war. ¹² His eyes are a flame of fire, and on his head are many crowns. He had a name written which no one knows but he himself. ¹³ He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and His name is The Word of God. ¹⁴ The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses, and dressed in fine linen, white and clean. ¹⁵ And from His mouth proceeds a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations, and He will rule them with an iron scepter. He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God, the Almighty.

¹⁷ Then I saw an angel standing in the sun, and he cried out in a loud voice to all the birds flying overhead, “Come, gather together for the great supper of God, ¹⁸ so that you may eat the flesh of kings and commanders and mighty men, of horses and riders, of all men slave and free, small and great.” ¹⁹ Then I saw the beast, the kings of the earth, and their armies gathered to wage war against the rider on the horse and his army.
