Psalms 50 Cross References - VIN

1 The Mighty One, God, the LORD, speaks, and summons the earth from the rising of the sun to its setting. 2 From Zion, the perfection of beauty, God shines forth. 3 Our God comes, and does not keep silent. A fire devours before him. It is very stormy around him. 4 He summons the heavens above and the earth that he might judge his people: 5 "Gather to me my loyal ones, those who have made a covenant with me by sacrifice." 6 And the heavens declare His righteousness, For God Himself is judge. Selah. 7 "Hear, O my people, and I will speak, O Israel, and I will testify against you. I am God, your God. 8 I do not rebuke you for your sacrifices. Your burnt offerings are continually before me. 9 I have no need for a bull from your stall, nor male goats from your pens. 10 For every animal of the forest is Mine, and the cattle on a thousand hills. 11 I know every bird of the mountains, and every moving creature in the field is mine. 12 If I were hungry, I would not tell you, for the world is mine, and all that is in it. 13 Do I eat the flesh of bulls, or drink the blood of goats? 14 Offer thanksgiving to God; and pay your vows to the Most High. 15 Call on me in the day of trouble. I will deliver you, and you will honor me." 16 But to the wicked God says, "What right have you to recite my statutes and mention my covenant with your mouth, 17 You hate instruction and toss my words behind you. 18 If you saw a thief, you ran along with him, and have cast in your lot with adulterers. 19 you spread your mouth to evil and contrive your tongue to deceit: 20 You sit; you speak against your brother; you slander your own mother's son. 21 These things you have done, and I have kept silence; you thought that I was like yourself, but I will rebuke you, and set in order before your eyes. 22 "Now consider this, you who forget God, lest I tear you into pieces, and there be none to deliver. 23 He who sacrifices a thank offering honors me, and he who orders his way; I will show him the salvation of God."

Hebrews 9:10-23

10 They consist only in food and drink and special washings—external regulations imposed until the time of reform. 11 But when Christ appeared as a high priest of the good things that have come, he entered through the greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this creation. 12 He did not enter by means of the blood of goats and calves, but he entered the holy place once for all by his own blood, having obtained eternal redemption. 13 For if the blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a heifer sprinkled on those who are ceremonially unclean sanctify them so that their bodies are clean, 14 how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself unblemished to God, purify our consciences from works of death, so that we may serve the living God! 15 For this reason he is the mediator of a new covenant, that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance, now that he has died as a ransom to set them free from the transgressions committed under the first covenant. 16 In the case of a will, it is necessary to establish the death of the one who made it, 17 For a will is in force only when somebody has died, since it never takes effect while the one who made it is living. 18 This is why even the first covenant was not put into effect without blood. 19 For when Moses had proclaimed every commandment of the Law to all the people, he took the blood of calves and goats, along with water, scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled the scroll and all the people, 20 Saying, This is the blood of the covenant which God has commanded you to keep. 21 In the same way, he sprinkled with the blood both the tabernacle and everything used in worship. 22 In fact, under the law almost everything is cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of the blood there is no forgiveness. 23 It was necessary, then, for the copies of the heavenly things to be purified with these sacrifices, but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.

Micah 6:1-8

1 Listen now to what the LORD says: "Arise, plead your case before the mountains, and let the hills hear what you have to say. 2 Hear, you mountains, the LORD's controversy, and you enduring foundations of the earth; for the LORD has a controversy with his people, and he will contend with Israel. 3 My people, what have I done to you? How have I burdened you? Answer me! 4 "I brought you out of the land of Egypt. I redeemed you out of the house of bondage. I sent before you Moses, Aaron, and Miriam. 5 My people, remember, I pray, what Balak, king of Moab, counseled, and what Balaam, son of Beor, answered him, from Shittim unto Gilgal, that you may know the righteousness of the LORD." 6 With what shall I come before the LORD and bow myself before the high God? Shall I come before him with burnt offerings, with calves a year old? 7 Will the LORD be pleased with thousands of rams, or with ten thousand rivers of oil? Shall I give my firstborn for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul? 8 He has showed you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?

Zechariah 13:9

9 And I will bring the remaining third into the fire, and I will refine them like one refines silver, and I will test them like one tests gold. They will call my name, and I will answer them. I will say, 'They are my people,' and they will say, 'the LORD is my God.'"

Isaiah 1:11-31

11 What is the abundance of your sacrifices to me? says the LORD. I have had enough of burnt offerings of rams and the fat of fattened animals and I do not delight in the blood of bulls and ram-lambs and goats. 12 When you come to appear before me, who has required this at your hand, to trample my courts? 13 Bring no more vain offerings. Incense is an abomination to me; new moons, Sabbaths, and convocations: I can't bear with evil assemblies. 14 Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hateth; they are become a burden unto me; I am weary to bear them, 15 "When you spread out your hands in prayer, I will hide my eyes from you. Even though you offer many prayers, I will not listen because your hands are full of blood. 16 "Wash yourselves! Become clean! Get your evil deeds out of my sight. Stop doing evil. 17 Learn to do well—Seek justice, Correct the oppressor,—Vindicate the fatherless, Plead the cause of the widow, 18 "Come now, and let us reason together," says the LORD: "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow. Though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool. 19 "If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the best from the land. 20 but if you refuse and rebel, you shall be devoured by the sword; for the mouth of the LORD has spoken it." 21 How the faithful city has become a harlot! She who was full of justice! Righteousness lodged in her, but now murderers. 22 Your silver has become dross; your wine is diluted with water. 23 Your princes are rebels and companions of thieves. Every one loves a bribe and runs after gifts. They do not defend the orphan and the legal dispute of the widow does not come before them. 24 Therefore the Lord, the LORD of hosts, the Mighty One of Israel, says: "Ah, I will get relief from my adversaries, and avenge myself of my enemies; 25 And I will turn my hand upon you, and thoroughly purge away your dross, and take away all your tin: 26 And I will restore your judges as at first, and your counselors as at the beginning; afterwards you shall be called the city of righteousness, the faithful city. 27 Zion will be redeemed with justice and her converts with righteousness. 28 But the destruction of rebels and sinners shall be together, and those who forsake the LORD will perish. 29 For you will be ashamed of the oaks in which you delighted, and you will be disgraced because of the gardens that you have chosen. 30 You will be like an oak whose leaves wither and like a garden without water. 31 The strong will be like tinder, and his work like a spark. They will both burn together, and no one will quench them.”

Jeremiah 7:21-23

21 Thus says the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, "Add your burnt offerings to your sacrifices, and eat the flesh. 22 But when I brought your fathers out of Egypt, I spake no word unto them of burnt offerings and sacrifices: 23 but I did give them this command: Obey me and I'll be your God, and you will be my people. Leviticus 27:2-34

2 Speak to the sons of Israel and say to them, When a man shall make a special vow, the persons shall be for the LORD by your evaluation. 3 your valuation of a male from twenty years old to sixty years old shall be fifty shekels of silver, according to the shekel of the sanctuary. 4 And if it is a female, the value will be thirty shekels. 5 And if it be from five years old to twenty, the valuation of a male shall be twenty shekels, and of a female ten shekels. 6 And if the person is from one month to five years old, then the value for a male will be five shekels of silver, and for a female three shekels. 7 And if a son, sixty years and above, if a male, your appraisal, fifteen shekels and for the female, ten shekels. 8 »‘The person who is too poor to pay the required amount must stand in front of the priest. The priest will determine the amount based on what the person can afford. 9 "'If it is an animal, of which men offer an offering to the LORD, all that any man gives of such to the LORD becomes holy. 10 »‘Do not exchange or substitute animals, a good one for a bad one or a bad one for a good one. If you do exchange one animal for another, then both animals will be holy. 11 If it is any unclean animal, of which they do not offer as an offering to the LORD, then he shall set the animal before the priest; 12 And let the priest put a value on it, if it is good or bad; whatever value the priest puts on it, so will it be. 13 and if the person chuse to redeem it, he shall add a fifth to the valuation. 14 "'If any man dedicate his house, it shall be holy unto the LORD. And the priest shall set it; whether it be good or bad, and as the priest hath set it, so it shall be. 15 and if he who dedicated it chuse to redeem it, he shall add thereto a fifth of the money at which it was rated, and it shall be his. 16 And if a man should hallow to the Lord a part of the field of his possession, then the valuation shall be according to its seed, fifty shekels of silver for a homer of barley. 17 If he gives his field from the year of Jubilee, the value will be fixed by your decision. 18 But if some time after, the priest shall reckon the money according to the number of years that remain until the jubilee, and the price shall be abated. 19 And if he that sanctified the field would redeem it, he shall add to its value the fifth part of the money, and it shall be his. 20 "'If you do not buy it back and it is sold to someone else, it may not be redeemed. 21 "'When the field is released in the jubilee year, it will be holy like a field claimed by the LORD. It will become the property of the priest. 22 "'If he dedicates to the LORD a field which he has bought, which is not of the field of his possession, 23 "'The priest must figure out the field's value until the jubilee year. You will pay its value on that day as something holy, belonging to the LORD. 24 In the year of jubilee the field shall return to him from whom he bought it, to him who owns it in the land. 25 All your valuations shall be according to the shekel of the sanctuary: twenty gerahs to the shekel. 26 However, the first-born of an animal, which should be the LORD's first-born, no man shall sanctify it, whether an ox, or sheep, it is the LORD's. 27 If it be an unclean beast, then let him redeem it as it is set at, and give the fifth part more thereto. If it be not redeemed, then let it be sold as it is rated. 28 However, no devoted thing that a man shall devote to the LORD of all that he has, either of man or animal, or of the field of his possession, shall be sold or redeemed. Every devoted thing is most holy to the LORD. 29 `No devoted thing, which is devoted of man, is ransomed, it is surely put to death. 30 And all the tenth of the land from the seed of the land, from the fruit of the tree, is to the LORD: it is holy to the LORD. 31 If a man redeems anything of his tithe, he shall add a fifth part to it. 32 And all the tithe of the herd and of the flock, all that passes under the rod, a tenth shall be holy to the LORD; 33 "'You must not look to see if it is good or bad or exchange it. If you do exchange it, both the first animal and its substitute will be holy. They may not be bought back.'" 34 These are the commandments the LORD gave Moses on Mount Sinai for the Israelites.

Numbers 30:2-16

2 When a man vows a vow to the LORD, or has sworn an oath to bind his soul with a bond, he shall not break his word; he shall do all that has gone out of his mouth. 3 And in case a woman vows a vow to the LORD and binds herself by a bond in the house of her father in her youth, 4 but if her father hears her vow or her pledge that she bound on herself and says nothing to her, then all her vows will stand, and every pledge that she binds on her life will stand. 5 But if her father forbids her in the day that he hears, none of her vows or of her pledges with which she has bound her soul, shall stand. the LORD will forgive her, because her father has forbidden her. 6 "If she has a husband while bound by her vows or a rash promise of her lips, 7 and her husband hears of it and is silent on the day he hears it, her vows will stand, and her pledge that she bound upon herself will stand. 8 But if on the day her husband hears of it, he forbids her, then he will nullify her vow that she is under, and the rash promise of her lips that she bound on herself; and the LORD will forgive her. 9 The vow of a widow or one driven out, all which she binds on her soul shall be confirmed on her. 10 "If she vowed in her husband's house, or bound her soul by a bond with an oath, 11 and her husband heard it but was silent to her, and he did not forbid her, all her vows will stand and every pledge that she bound on herself will stand. 12 But if her husband nullified them on the day he hears them, all her vows going out of her lips concerning her vows or the pledge on herself will not stand; her husband has nullified them, and the LORD will forgive her. 13 Every vow and every bonded oath to humble the soul, her man raises or her man breaks. 14 But if her husband is completely silent from day to day, then he confirms all her vows or all her pledges that are on her; he confirms them because he was silent to her on the day he heard them. 15 But if he indeed nullifies them after he hears them, then he will bear her guilt." 16 These are the laws which the Lord gave Moses in relation to a man and his wife, or a father and a young daughter who is under his authority.
