¹⁵ Do not lie in wait like an outlaw against the home of the righteous; do not do violence to his dwelling place.

He lies in wait to catch the helpless. He catches the helpless when he draws him in his net. ¹⁰ The helpless are crushed. They collapse. They fall under his strength.

³² The wicked looketh out for the righteous, and seeketh to slay him.

⁶ They conspire and lurk, watching my steps. They are eager to take my life.

³ For lo, they lie in wait for my soul, mighty ones gather against me; not for my transgression, and not my sin, O LORD.

⁵ The proud have hidden a snare for me, they have spread the cords of a net by the path. They have set traps for me. Selah.

²⁴ but Saul learned of their plot. Day and night they watched the city gates in order to kill him.

¹⁶ But when the son of Paul’s sister heard about the ambush, he went into the barracks and told Paul.

³ as a favor to them, to have Paul transferred to Jerusalem, for they were preparing an ambush to kill him along the way.
